  1. Wow, clusterf*** ending to the Wisky-ASU game. College refs clown college
  2. John Shoop is always good for a 4 yard out on 3rd and long
  3. QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 02:00 PM) Jerry Kill probably needs to retire. He has been having seizures since before SIU, and it just keeps getting worse and worse. I think gametime chaos just triggers it
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 11:04 AM) We lost in the playoffs wednesday and the other team was a huge bunch of douche bags. Plowing over girls who are trying to tag them, screaming when the ball was in the air, just being total a-holes. I'v won alot of titles in that league and it's not that hard to win with class. Apparently this team and the one they faced after us in the title game got into a fist fight over a player they thought shouldnt be eligible to play. f***ing stupid. It's a co-ed softball league fellas, come on. I play first, and I made a few nice scoops and stretches in the first few innings. One I their guys hit to our third basemen and he short hopped it to me and I muffed the scoop. As the ball was coming to me, their dugout was screaming at me and one guy sarcastically screamed "scoop it scoop it yea...!" when the ball was on the way to me. It distracted me a little, their dugout was on the first base side and it was right in my ear. Regardless, it hit my glove and I should have scooped it. The next hitter hits a low line drive to our third baseman. He makes the catch and throws behind the guy at first and doubled him off. As I caught the ball, I couldn't help it, I yelled "scoop it scoop it yea..!" Lol, the guy called me an asshole
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 10:56 AM) I despise people that get all bent out of shape about little things in softball. I want to win as much as anyone in anything I play but people b**** and complain about the dumbest things. Shut the f*** up and play the game. Exactly. And this guy got so bent out of shape about it that he pitched like s*** for the rest of the game. In the first inning he actually was good, he fielded a few comebackers and pitched well. Once that hitter got in his head we just went off
  6. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 09:41 AM) The leagues around me I play in are all ASA and the rules do stipulate that both batter's feet must be completely in the batter's box prior to the pitch. ASA has a pitchers mat, right?

Miley Cyrus looks like a harsh tranny nowadays. there are better Montana's out there to look at
  8. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 08:47 AM) I'm pretty sure you do have to be in the batter's box. I kind of agree it is kind of bush league. Same with batter's who stand 5 feet off the plate. Gives the batter an even greater advantage. Bush league? I don't see how it is bush league. And like I said, the ump went to the office to check, and it is legal. ISA rules obviously don't mind it
  9. So we won 21-1 yesterday, but had a little incident with the opposing pitcher. One of our players stands behind the batters box before the pitch, and runs up on the ball when it is pitched. I have played with him for 8 years now, it has never been complained about before. The pitcher starts saying it is illegal and saying to check the book(which the ump did, and found nothing). It completely took the pitcher out of his game an he got so irritated about it and would not stop complaining. I just found it funny that such a minor thing could bother a guy so much.
  10. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 03:44 PM) Chris Johnson spit in his direction when he was near him first & Gattis stared down Jose first when he homered. Yet Jose was the bigger guy who apologized after the game & went to the Braves clubhouse & apologized face to face. Couple of those Braves players involved are supposed to be "vets". To get mad because a kid is out there having fun is absurd. He was in no way showing them up & Chris Johnson has the nerve as he just got out to say to Jose you have a "Weak Ass Fastball"?.... Even his own coach didn't agree with what he did http://m.espn.go.com/mlb/story?storyId=9665893 I didn't read anything about Johnson spitting towards him, I guess he could hav, but the events in the article are opposite from what you are saying. Regardless, the kid is an amazing talent. He can still have fun without showing up the other team.
  11. I'm probably the last guy you should ask for fantasy advice from, but I'm taking Gore over Wilson everyday all day twice on Sundays regardless of matchup.
  12. Rockets blasting frogs into space, FTW http://deadspin.com/crazy-picture-captures...by-n-1300119462
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 10:19 AM) Yeah, Cowherd was all about Sanchez leading up to the draft. He was wowed by Sanchez having the "it" factor. Everyone misses on quarterbacks...the Jets obviously did, and I am sure many other teams would have taken him early. I don't want to come off as a Sanchez defender, but it seems like his offensive weapons have been taken away one by one and replaced with far inferior players. He went from a WR core of Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Brad Smith with Dustin Keller as a TE to a bunch of crap now.
  14. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 09:16 AM) How is Skip Bayless such a gigantic moron but his brother Rick seems like a really nice, normal guy? Maybe Rick just isn't exposed because he doesn't have a camera in his face 24/7
  15. Mark Sanchez most likely done for the year, world gives no f***s http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=9663997
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 05:38 AM) Rolled my ankle on Sat playing basketball, didn't sprain since I play with braces but just tweaked it. Was going to sit out today but team needs me. Lots of guys out of town, so this should be fun. There is pain but got swelling down and walking normally. It's my left foot so I'm tentative to plant it when I swing. Wrap that thing tight
  17. If you were a football player on twitter and fans kept pestering you about being healthy and should they start you, would you mess with them? I would
  18. I think they all got butt hurt because he was spitting on the bases when he was trotting around them and because of the bat flip/stare down. Comcast showed him rounding third and spitting on the base and that's when the Braves really got pissed
  19. Barry Bonds was one if the games best hitters before he began doping(well, obvious doping). It turned him into an unstoppable force. Other players became merely better
  20. The score is a huge bunch of pessimistic Bears fans, and this is coming from a fan of the Score. The callers are even worse
  21. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 06:11 PM) I absolutely hate listening to Bears talk.. it is like having a bunch of Cubs fans talking about how awesome they are and how the championship is theirs. Lol what Bears talk are you listening to?
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 03:28 PM) Agreed. And when I look back at the 01-04 numbers, especially 2004, they are just unbelievable. .609 OBP, lol. Bonds was intentionally walked with the bases loaded. That is absurd. Even more absurd was how much he raked, and how few hittable pitches he actually saw

I remember being extremely hungover and my phone ringing over and over, and me and my roommate ignoring it until he finally got up and found out it was his mom calling us to tell us what happened. We turned the tv on just in time to see the second plane hit. I also remember the gas station down the street going from 1.20 a gallon to 1.85 a gallon by the end of the day. Then back down to 1.20 three days later
  24. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 01:26 PM) You started this thread in the morning, so I assumed this was a getaway day game, and that I was going to have something to entertain me at work this afternoon. Thanks a lot, jackass! Listen to the mike and mike podcast on loop

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 09:58 AM) Caught a weird movie last night: "Shame" starring Michael Fassbender and the chick that married the lead singer from Mumford. One of those movies without much of a plot or even a reason to be made other than to get a glimpse at a certain kind of person (in this case, a sex addict). It was a movie stuck too far up its own ass to be considered good, although it was interesting. The ending was meh though. Yea it is a weird movie. You want to say its good, but it just leaves you feeling empty
