  1. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 18, 2006 -> 08:21 PM) um when this year?? How about being down 7-3 against the Twins? As I type this Jermaine goes deep.
  2. How the f*** can some of you say this game is over? We have six outs left. Jesus christ. I don't understand how people can give up on the Sox, when time and time again they have shown us they can come back. :headshake
  3. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 17, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) Again...why, Ozzie? Why the f*** can't the closer start the f***ing inning? He does this all the f***in time, and every time the lefty (Cotts or Thornton) always allow the runner to reach. Jenks is your closer Oz, put him in at the START of the 9th inning.
  4. Oh for f***s sake! Juan just hit a dong here.
  5. McClung hasn't given up more than 2 earned runs his last 4 starts, so he's on a bit of a hot streak. He pitched against some pretty good offenses too. (Oakland, Yankees, Rangers, Blue Jays) Hope the Sox can get to him by the fifth.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 10, 2006 -> 08:35 AM) Ok now, everybody all at once!! JOE!!!!!! CREDE!!!!!!!!!!!! is not a free agent after this year I thought his arbitration year was this year, and he was going to be a free agent this off-season? Does he have another arbitration year? Oh well my bad. Either way why not sign him up long term. CWSOX45
  7. If Crede keeps this up....how much money do you think he'll be looking to collect next off-season as a free agent? Just looking back at what cash Adrian Beltre pulled in for one good season, I can't imagine what Crede's asking price will be also if he has Boras as his agent. I really am hopeful that Kenny re-signs Crede to a long-term deal before the off-season.
  8. QUOTE(S720 @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:23 PM) Where did I ever state that I had superior knowledge to Ozzie? He won a World Series I didn't. Am I not allowed to voice my opinion? I just said I don't like how he is OBSESSED with the lefty lefty matchup. So I guess I have to trust you over Ozzie. Don't make me laugh! In some cases it's good to go with the lefty against the lefty. However, in this scenario with the one run game, I STRONGLY feel that it is the closer's game to lose. Therefore you put the ball in your closers hands and you let him get the three outs. Jenks did have three outs with only ONE man on first base. And he FAILED not Ozzie. As for the personal attack calling me a whiner, that's fine. I don't really care what you have to say about me, but I will not lower myself to your level. If I sounded harsh, I apologize. Let's put this to rest. 2 out of 3 ain't bad! No, the bolded part meant you give Jenks the ball with 0 outs, and let him try and get 3 outs. That's what I meant.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) And once again, the 9th is muuuuch different from the 8th. Matt did his job in the 8th, Bobby is our closer, he should get the 9th. I agree.
  10. QUOTE(JimH @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) I suggest you guys place the blame where it belongs. First of all the pitchers didn't execute. The key blow was Emil Brown, who was obviously looking just to get his bat on the ball, and what did they call, a pitch on the outer half. Stupid. You need a pop up there, or try for the double play. Stupid. Logan got schooled by the veteran Stairs, you can see that coming. He dicked around with him with umpteen offspeed pitches instead of going right at him. I agree with SSH, get Jeff Nelson up here asap and see what he's got left in the tank. You have a one run lead, you can't throw strikes, it's bulls***. Jim, I do agree that the pitchers did not execute. However I really feel Jenks should have started the 9th, you get that first out instead of the lead-off walk, who knows what happends. Jenks did suck tonight, in fact the whole pen sucked tonight, however I still feel you go with the closer. Ozzie's decision by not calling Jenks in frustrated the hell outta me that's it. Everyone on this board is entitled to their opinion, Ozzie's fault, pens fault, offenses fault, whatever. Fact is we're down 3 runs right now, and that's all that matters. CWSOX45
  11. QUOTE(S720 @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) Do you think you are smarter than Ozzie? Give me a f***ing break! Your baseball knowledge is NOTHING compared to Ozzie. Stop playing f***ING manager. Bobby was called in with ONLY one man on first base. If he can not close the game, it's his f***ING fault. Don't blame anyone else. You are such a WHINER! Where did I ever state that I had superior knowledge to Ozzie? He won a World Series I didn't. Am I not allowed to voice my opinion? I just said I don't like how he is OBSESSED with the lefty lefty matchup. In some cases it's good to go with the lefty against the lefty. However, in this scenario with the one run game, I STRONGLY feel that it is the closer's game to lose. Therefore you put the ball in your closers hands and you let him get the three outs. As for the personal attack calling me a whiner, that's fine. I don't really care what you have to say about me, but I will not lower myself to your level.
  12. QUOTE(JimH @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) He did, and the closer sucked ass. My God, what is there to argue about, Thornton blew them away in the 8th, Jenks was the guy who gave up all the damage. Jenks sucked tonite. That's true, but I'd feel better about it if Jenks just got the ball at the start of the 9th. Closers blow games, I didn't like the decision-making again tonight with the match-ups, I'm more pissed because this isn't the first time it has happened either. CWSOX45
  13. QUOTE(S720 @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) You guys are hilarious! It's so obvious that Jenks did not have anything tonight. His straight fastballs are easy to hit at 93MPH. Stop blaming Ozzie! What do you mean don't blame Ozzie? You put your closer in the 9th. Not your set-up man. I'm sick of this lefty v lefty matchup bulls*** in the 9th. In a one run game in the 9th inning, you give the ball to your f***ing closer. It's his game to win or lose. YOU GIVE THE BALL TO YOUR CLOSER. The end.
  14. I hate when Ozzie does this bulls***...
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) There is an article on the FutureSox board about this, but he was part of the Chacon deal. Here's a link to a story giving some details on what he throws and all that stuff. http://www.futuresox.com/frontpage/modules...order=0&thold=0 Makes sense, from Oakland to New York to Colorado for Chacon. I'd love to see Sierra make it on the Sox roster. CWSOX45
  16. I worked for the Kane County Cougars when he was there, he dominated Single-A ball. I guess other organizations were scouting him, in fact I saw Jerry Krause there one day, and I'm guessing he was scouting for the Yankees. I believe later that summer Sierra was traded from the Cougars to the Yankees for Chris Hammond if I'm not mistaken. Sierra has good stuff, and I'd love to see him make it big for the South Siders. 17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:24 PM) Yay, Wendlstedt behind the plate. Great.
  18. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:33 PM) OK We get it Yogi Good. Glad I'm getting through to someone.
  19. To all those who were claiming that this game was over, or that the M's had the "momentum" in the series. This is why you play all 9 innings, all 27 outs, and it's not over until it's over. Now let's win this damn thing! CWSOX45
  20. To all those that have been criticizing Brian Anderson... SHUT THE f*** UP. Thankyou.
  21. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) Now the M's have all the momentum for the rest of the West Coast series. :banghead Relax. We can still win the series. CWSOX45
  22. Is it just me....or do we still have 3 outs to work with? Jesus Christ people. CWSOX45
  23. Could I have a sig with Neal Cotts in it and just my name, I'm not really not that picky, just make it look cool. Thanks CWSOX45
