QUOTE(beautox @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) ill take that argument, Thornton had what 8 scoreless apperances before this? and the count had two of his pitching jems pissed away? this is a knee jerk reaction sure our bullpen has sucked tonight, but its been a culmination of things that have led to our level of suckitude. Leaving tons of Men on base, and having a CF whos hot right now, and can't play defense worth s***, and another CF who can lay down the glove but cant hit his own weight. *hits beautox with a stick* NO! BAD! BAD BEAUTOX! I need a beer. -

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) Check the poll on Soxtalk.com, 80% of us agreed with you before tonight. Well then this post is for the other 20% that disagreed with us. -

Anyone still want to make the argument that having Brian Anderson's >.200 average is our biggest problem? Just curious. -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) And put in who? This is why the pen is such a weakness. You can tell Oz doesnt have much faith in the pen right now, and I dont blame him. Amen, and everyone continues to b**** about how Anderson is our biggest weakness. -
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) Thx for the help. It's more about shutting his mouth, but I guess I gotta hear it now. You could always go with the Kitties record vs. the White Sox and Yankees. (0-6) Hopefully 0-7 after tonight. CWSOX45

If the White Sox come back and win, I will never b**** about this team ever again....

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) Listening to Hawk and DJ describe Cleveland pitchers, its amazing anyone ever scores a run off them. I was just thinking that.
-
QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) I understand the point you are making... but we just need to worry about ourselves right now. If we are in need of the Tigers and Indians to lose all the time over the summer... it's gonna be a long summer. That's what I mean, the Sox are missing golden opportunities to take control of this race.... This team needs to get their heads outta their asses and start playing like World Champs.
-
We're fortunate that the Kitties are having a tough time against the Yankees. Otherwise we could be in deep s***.
-
We were really spoiled by Cliff's performance last year......
-
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) Over the long haul, the BP is going to be much more important. We don't have the automatic out in CF tonight, yet the White Sox offense has a goose egg, and Garcia has 2 more earned runs against him than he would have if the automatic out was in tonight's game. Thank you.

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:31 PM) That's a strange thing to worry about now. The last thing I want to see is a .160 CF or another guy who has trouble not tripping over his feet out there. Maybe that's just me. The Twins are not trading him to the White Sox. Period. That is just one reason that can be used. It just doesn't happen, teams don't trade within their own division. The centerfield position is the least I'm worried about, our main concern should be A) Our bullpen. You feel comfortable with Politte and Nelson? I sure as hell don't. We need another arm in that pen. Thorton, Cotts, and Jenks have done pretty well. B) Shortstop. I really think it's time to show Uribe that Ozzie means business. Cintron should be starting at least for a few games, maybe that will spark Juan. C) Centerfielder. If there is a better option out there, which to me seems like there isn't. Steve Finley? Ryan Church? No thanks. I'd rather save the prospects. Brian Anderson is a good defensive centerfielder. If you can't find a defensive upgrade over Anderson, then I don't want to hear about it.

Great, Paul Byrd is pitching tomorrow....another pitcher we've had so much success against. Can we just get back to the Cell please? Jesus Christ.
-
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) I'm trying to figure out why Minnesota wouldn't trade Hunter to the White Sox. The guy's a free agent at the end of the year anyway. If the Sox want him, they can sign him at that point. You never trade with anyone within your own division....the last thing I want to see is Lance Broadway shutting the White Sox out 3 years down the road.
-
We wouldn't be having this discussion about replacing Anderson if the rest of the 8 guys hit like they usually do. You want to know who should be on Ozzie's s*** list? Juan Uribe. There is no excuse for him to be batting .210, he's not a rookie anymore, that's f***ing unacceptable. If you want to b**** about someone not hitting, b**** about Uribe. CWSOX45

QUOTE(ThinWhiteDuque @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:15 PM) RYAN CHURCH Or, Jose Guillen, and move Pods to CF. The Nationals' firesale will begin shortly. I've heard from a person within the Oakland A's organization that Jose Guillen is a punk ass little b****. Why do you think he's been with so many teams? Jose Guillen is the last thing this team needs.
-
QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) Hopefully every person who ran and ran their mouth about Anderson today just saw Mackowiak try to make that play in center. Amen. That is why Brian Anderson needs to be out in centerfield.

all up to gooch...
