2012 TV Thread
QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 08:18 AM) I don't watch Walking Dead anymore but seems some shows are only being talked about when characters are being killed off. That isn't a good formula IMO. You certainly picked the wrong time to drop the show. This season has been fantastic.

Tablet Buying
QUOTE (Reddy @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 12:02 PM) I just got the Samsung Galaxy 7 Tab 2.0 love it. it has an SD Card slot which no other 7 inch tablet has, and works as a universal remote for my tv/roku/etc - baller. Although it's not as portable, I plug in an adapter in my nexus 7's microsd slot and can plug in any usb drive as extra storage.

2012 TV Thread
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 14, 2012 -> 06:17 AM) That is true I suppose. But it didnt appear that part was fake. Also, it kind of looked like the Governers daughter should have bit him when he was brushing her hair and she started moving. at the very least his arm was right in front of her face and she didnt go after him. I didnt really like that Yeah I was thinking the same thing.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 12, 2012 -> 09:20 PM) Talked to my friend who invests money of only the richest people and said he is "devastated" by Obama's re-election. He said he didn't want to go into it, but basically said the economy is doomed and we are in deep trouble. Just passing on what he told me. Talked to my friend who is a world renowned doctor who works on the sickest and most needy people out there and he's "ecstatic" by Obama's re-election. He said he didn't want to go into it, but basically said healthcare is going to become accessible to most of us now and we are so lucky. Just passing on what he told me.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 10, 2012 -> 04:16 PM) All except for the biggest legacy problems not being solved... Not sure what you're talking about. Obama's legacy will look great after saving them.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Nov 10, 2012 -> 10:15 AM) You are under the misguided assumption that a bankruptcy of GM and Chrysler would have led to tons of auto workers being out of jobs. That just isn't the case. With a restructuring of the contracts and debt both entities could have emerged from bankruptcy in better shape than they are now. Yes, there would have been concessions from the unions, but they would still have jobs. And with the renegotiated contracts and vendor deals, you have a thriving business. One that doesn't have government fingers up its ass telling it what to do. Leave it to you to complain about something that turned out to be extremely successful.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 9, 2012 -> 08:28 AM) How is this relevant at all? Just because people do it doesn't make it right. Just pointing out the hypocrisy. Conservative women who've had abortions don't want others to have that option.
-
**2012 Election Day thread**
I wish they documented the political positions of women who actually get abortions. I'd bet conservatives would be shocked at how many of their own go through with it. Anectdotally, I know more than a handful of conservative women, including family members, who've had an abortion. It's ok for them but not for others.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 9, 2012 -> 07:56 AM) I agree with this but we also, at some point, have to decide how we're going to handle it as a society. And we further need to decide if government should be involved at all in those decisions (i.e., paying for those decisions). With regards to abortion, we already have decided how we're going to handle this. See Roe V. Wade.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Nov 8, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) Let's see, which of those groups do Democrats give lots of free stuff to....... Like freedom to marry who they love, freedom to choose what to do with their own bodies, and freedom to go see a doctor without having to declare bankruptcy?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 7, 2012 -> 06:48 AM) [/b] What does that even mean? That doesn't really make any sense. The Libertarian party has very little in common with Obama. The Greens have even less in common with Romney. It means you're "supposed to" vote for Obama so when you vote Libertarian you might as well vote for Romney since you just helped him out.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 09:15 PM) I assume youre right since federal obviously trumps state law. But in regards to Colorado, a local police force would not be able to do anything about you smoking your joint on your front porch, if its the DEA though........ This is how you get the federal law repealed. One by one the states legalize it.
