  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2011 -> 01:29 PM) A week ago a story came out saying they had a nuke they were going to detonate if OBL even was killed or caught. That seems far fetched but it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities that a few recruits of theirs, living here, can detonate explosives in highly populated areas (i.e., Times Square, Union Station, Navy Pier, etc).
  2. I wonder if they had a plan in place that if for some reason OBL was killed, several terrorist attacks be carried out within the US within X number of days. God I hope not. As we all know, we have a ton of vulnerabilities here including trains stations and other public areas.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 2, 2011 -> 01:18 PM) I don't know about that. How bout when God parted the Red Sea and when the bad guys were in the middle of the sea killed them all? We read that passage at Easter Vigil every year. War is awful. War is a b****. But you have to make the culprits pay with their death and it's OK to celebrate that. Hitler? How did people react when that bastard went to hell? I am Christian but I don't really feel bad for celebrating his death. I mean he was a murderer and had to go. Now if God created a perfect world and there was no war ... it'd be different. I guess one of the 10 Commandments is optional for Christians.
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 2, 2011 -> 01:10 PM) You've been suspended from thread creating duties*. *Suspension is terminated if Sox start an extended winning streak starting tonight.
  5. QUOTE (Tuna @ May 2, 2011 -> 12:04 PM) I'm not sure why anyone can assume the Twins will be in it at the end of the year. They let their bullpen go to FA, Mauer has aids (or whatever disease that made him lose all that weight and not hit), Morneau hasn't seemed to fully recover. This year is the first in awhile that they couldn't plug in some no name jerk off that suddenly becomes a star. My argument (in my circle) to every Cub fan I know is that I've never hated the Cubs, I hate that their fans allow themselves to be exploited by inept management, follow their team like sheep and have no backbone to say "enough is enough, field a competitive team or I'm not going to pay to see the garbage you throw on the field". With that being said, if I continue to show up after JR has proven that his friendship with Ozzie and KW are more important than the good of the team, then I'm no better than the people I despise. Totally inappropriate but that made me laugh out loud.
  6. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 2, 2011 -> 12:01 PM) Obama killed birthers and Bin Laden in the same week. #ThatsAGoodWeek Going around killing people is what a Muslim Jihadist would do.
  7. QUOTE (JPN366 @ May 2, 2011 -> 10:56 AM) Plus, why wouldn't the USA have wanted people to know he was dead 10 years ago? If you can give people closure now or much later, which would you choose? I'd doubt people's feelings are high on their priority list.
  8. Surprised he didn't get the cover of their box at some point.
  9. QUOTE (forrestg @ May 2, 2011 -> 10:05 AM) I'll give the sox 125 more games if they haven't changed for the better by then I'm going to give up on the Sox. You're going to give up on your favorite team, for good, if they have one disappointing season? Sheesh
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2011 -> 10:00 AM) Piss in your cheerios sucks. Quite refreshing if you're Moises Alou.
  11. Only way to take the urine out of your bowl of Cheerios is to just dump all of it in the trash compactor and start from scratch.
  12. My goodness. Someone pissed in your Cheerios this morning.
  13. Keepin' it real is what I do.
  14. In case you didn't know, there's no such thing as Hell.
  15. QUOTE (SoxnGiants @ May 2, 2011 -> 09:29 AM) I'm not one to complain to much about coaches, but I have found it frustrating seeing Swisher leave the team, make subtle changes to his approach at the plate (which he credits Kevin Long for) and then see significant improvement. Sure, he's off to a tough start this year, but he put up back to back good years in NY after leaving Chicago. Maybe he should have had the same result here with a better hitting coach. Could be coincidence, but we seem to have players stay in slumps longer than other teams. Perhaps you didn't get the memo. Hitting coaches are paid $100K/year to literally do nothing.
  16. What are the chances that tapes of Osama speaking are leaked over the next few years to make it look like he was not killed? I'm sure they could have easily taped a few speeches of his while he was in hiding.
