QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 6, 2011 -> 06:51 AM) Hobo With a Shotgun was awesome. It's the second fake trailer from Grindhouse that they've turned into a movie. Wow. Just watched the unrated trailer. Looks amazing.

I'm starting to think Dunn is cursed. Any team he goes to automatically sucks.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 6, 2011 -> 07:53 PM) One thing's for certain, we heated up the Twins' season. It's an annual ritual.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:44 PM) Isn't King Felix the reigning cy young? were you expecting a sweep of the M's? It doesn't matter who we're facing. It's always the same result whether it's the opponent's ace or their #5 starter with ERAs in the 8s and 9s. -

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:44 PM) Two changes I would make. Viciedo for Pierre in LF. Lillibridge for Rios or Gordon. Both deserve it since Pierre, Gordo and Rios suck. Hell Ramon Castro should get a hell of a lot more ABs. I'd be down with all of those moves. -

I don't get it. What will it take for some kind of move to occur whether it's sending a player down or firing someone?!?! -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 6, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) This year he's pitched 7 starts and has 47 innings. That's 6.2+ innings per start. Wow. Talk about small sample size. In those 7 games, he more often than not pitched at 6.0 innings or less. -

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 6, 2011 -> 03:13 PM) Really? I don't agree with that. GM's realize that record is very dependent on the team around the pitcher and we've done a horrible job scoring runs for him pretty much his entire career here. He might not have a sexy record to get casual fans excited or grab media attention but I'm sure guys in front offices know how good and valuable Danks is. Regardless of records, he's a 6 inning pitcher at best. His pitch count is seemingly always around 90 or so after 5 innings. -

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) The Bulls are better with a healthy Taj Gibson in the lineup than an injured Boozer. No doubt. Yeah. I'd be more than happy to give Carlos a game off or two at this point.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:05 AM) While the Tom Kelly thing might be unrealistic. The firing our guys and holding them accountable is realistic and it should be done. I'd also ship Beckham to AAA (f*** his feelings, he can either fix his s*** there and come back up or be a bust) and get Viciedo more at bats. I'd consider moving Morel down as well and I'd use a very odd, horrificly defensive lineup with Viciedo at 3rd and Teahen getting AB's at 2nd (which he has played a bit in the bast). But I'd use Lillibridge and Vizquel a lot as defensive replacements. I wouldn't consider it a full-time move, rather just something to consider to spark some things up on the club. Another option would be to play Viciedo in LF and bench Pierre, but I'm not quite sure who would lead off. Have Vizquel or Rios lead off.

Kiss of Death? KW denies coach firings are imminent

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:01 AM) I'm sure he's just saying this. But if he's not, he's just going to piss off fans even more. And you'll see those crowds of 12,000 dwindle even more. So go ahead, KW. Keep your coaching staff together. It'll just mean your head at the end of the year. (It probably will end with KW gone anyway, but making big changes and hoping for a spark is really his only chance anymore) Dude, it's only May 6th. And it can't get any worse. -

QUOTE (flavum @ May 6, 2011 -> 10:58 AM) So, what, 4 or 5 hits tonight? I'll go out on a limb and say 2 runs on 7 hits. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2011 -> 10:12 AM) The next series we manage to avoid a team's ace will be the first. I guess it's good that we won't make the post season with this squad since we'll be facing the opponent's ace(s) in those games. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2011 -> 10:02 AM) I really didn't think Humber would be this good, but at the same time, I have no illusion about him finishing the season with anywhere close to those kind of numbers either. If Esteban Loaiza could do it, a more talented Humber can too. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 6, 2011 -> 09:07 AM) I don't question his death at all. I don't question anything about the mission. I'm just saying it looks pretty bad when high ranking officials disagree over basic facts - was he armed/unarmed, did he use his wife as a shield, etc. The most obvious though is the reaction from his followers (and more importantly, sympathizers) if people start acknowledging that he surrendered first. We already have a bumbling idiot saying he was "executed" and he should have gotten a trial. Whatever. This was a top secret Navy Seal mission that successfully killed public enemy #1. That's all I need to know.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 6, 2011 -> 08:54 AM) Honestly, for the sake of the story, I think the Obama admn needs to reign in everyone with knowledge of the mission so they can get their story straight. I'm sure most of this is the media to blame for spinning what's being said (for instance, when someone gives a press conference and says "to my knowledge" or "it's my belief" they never seem to add that in the story, making it seem like what the person is saying is absolute fact), but why are they letting like 5 different versions of the story out? http://blogs.ajc.com/political-insider-jim...den-was-a-miss/ The guy is dead. What else do you need to know? The exact number of bullets fired? Why is this even a controversy?

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 5, 2011 -> 04:29 PM) It's ridiculous to give up in the 1st week of May and I don't give a s*** where you are in the standings or who you're playing. Pass that s***!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2011 -> 04:22 PM) If Pakistan is Angry, I'd suggest the first thing they should do is turn down the $3 billion in aid, we funnel to them from China every year, out of protest. Fixed
