  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 01:22 PM) Recognizing that we want our best pitchers going where we have the most troubles winning is a great move. Especially since we are in third place if we get swept in this series. This supposed great move resulted in consecutive losses so I'm not sure how great it was.
  2. How is Castro's arm? If it's halfway decent I wouldn't mind seeing him get a start today or tomorrow. AJ has no chance of throwing out a runner.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 10:41 AM) I'd much rather have my best players going against the best teams, especially when we are in a race with them. Besides if Danks would have pitched like that against Cleveland, he might not have won that game either. Rotation juggling this early in the season doesn't make much sense. Especially since we're setting up the rotation against the 3rd place team in the division. Might be a different story if it was against Detroit.
  4. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 09:26 AM) I am still pissed with Ozzie's rotation juggling. We could have won Thursday's game against a crappy Cleveland pitcher with Danks pitching. A bird in-hand is better than two in the bush. Instead we got nothing. Danks has struggled against the Twins, especially in Minnesota (6.19 ERA), so it wasn't as if we were really giving ourselves some favorable matchup. Richard would have been fine pitching in our regularly scheduled Metrodome losses to the Twins. You're reading my mind.
  5. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 04:07 PM) I am a change whorte. I will pick up anything as long as it isn't covered in urine. Does that include women? Or is the urine thing optional?

Who did we trade Bobby Bonilla for? EDIT: Jose DeLeon
  8. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 03:25 PM) Well if you have curly hair that is the way to go. Unfortunately I don't so it's sort of an odd look.
  9. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) You use butt hair to cover your bald spot? I use my pubes.
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 01:53 PM) Eyebrows, nose, ears, everything. Tweezers on nose hairs. It only hurts for a few seconds. Damn. Wtf!?! You is crazy son!

QUOTE (Kenny_Powers @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 01:29 PM) im going to try to not sound retarded here but, i know going overseas sounds bad but, its really not as bad as you think... especially if you are not in the marines or army.. from my 2 deployments i dont ever think ive ever seen a navy or air force soldier put in any kind of danger unless they were EOD (bomb squad) types. for some reason the military makes sure that the navy and air force get prime facilities even in Iraq! i personally am greatful for my experiences in iraq and would like to go again if i could. but lets say for example youre going to be a Navy Satellite guy, u pretty much have zero chance of ever leaving the wire or getting put in harms way. the only soldiers that get put in those positions are the combat jobs such as Infantrymen, Mortarmen, Tankers, etc. and i would recommend if you DO join the military, pleaseeeeee pick a job that will actually serve you in the future if you decide to get out of the military. you dont want to spend 4 years as a cook (for example) when you want to work in an information technology field after the military. Kenny Powers served in the military? Well I'll be damned.

  13. LOL. Chris Rock in his prime was a force.
  14. I will make sure not to listen to Hawk as he is unbearable to listen to when we're in that dome.
  15. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 10:59 AM) Yahoo Article Dang. You really have a thing for female sportscasters and reporters.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 10:53 AM) I'd rather not call up anyone to replace BA but if we did...Norris Hopper. He's fast, can play CF and has had some small success at this level before. And has a much cooler name.
  17. Hard to argue with your picks knightni. EDIT: Maybe Ozzie over Juan.
  18. Karkovice at catcher.

  20. When talking about her intelligence I think we need to define the particulars. In this case, intelligence to be President of the U.S. Sure she's intelligent enough to be the manager at Chili's but I haven't seen anything that defines intellectual excellence, a trait most of us would agree should be required for our leader. She's not eloquent, she wasn't a great student, and she shows very little knowledge of basic facts about how our government works.
  21. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 10:07 AM) If she can breath and feed herself she is more intelligent than the media portrayal. Thought so.
  22. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 10:03 AM) There are very few politicians whose actual, versus media portrayed, intelligence are skewed more than Palin and Quayle. Care to enlighten us with a few examples of her intelligence?

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 09:52 AM) I watched Fanboys yesterday. It was a way better movie than I thought it was gonna be. I thought it was painfully awful.
  24. Happy Birthday!
