QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 14, 2009 -> 03:33 PM) Except that you obviously have. And I have. And so has anyone else who's watched the news this week. Don't let that stop him from overusing his LOL emoticon when posting.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jan 14, 2009 -> 03:27 PM) Thanks for making the point. So Cknolls point is that there wasn't enough outrage at the cost of Bush's inauguration?

QUOTE (Cknolls @ Jan 14, 2009 -> 01:00 PM) http://dir.salon.com/story/news/feature/20...on_inauguration I'm sure we'll here the same outrage about Obama's innaugural cost which will exceed both of Bush's combined. What outrage? The article you linked has this as a header: The D.C. press corps failed to ask hard questions about the inauguration's huge cost So for you outrage = one article by a Salon.com writer?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 14, 2009 -> 02:50 PM) Dunn would play CF. Oh. I thought Garland and Dunn would be the 4th and 5th starters.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 14, 2009 -> 02:08 PM) 1. The Surge So they want credit for fixing something they initially f***ed up for several years? Sheesh.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 14, 2009 -> 02:08 PM) Alcohol dehydrates your body in a number of ways, through stimulating your kidneys to overproduce urine and the reaction in the liver that consumes alcohol. That dehydration is a main cause of the headaches you get in a hangover. If there's enough water in your system, you won't cross that threshold. Powerade or something similar can also be useful because it supplies salts at the same time, something that is removed through a lot of urination. Check out the big brain on Brett.

QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Jan 14, 2009 -> 09:22 AM) Good call. I last ate there in 2006. Very good food and drink choices. Jimbo could go all out and get the tasting and just request that one of the courses be duck.
-
Try Red Light. Awesome food and a nice venue. The duck is excellent. I used to work there a few years back.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jan 13, 2009 -> 01:30 PM) LMAO Especially if you're walking around like Pete Rose in that ad.

Cowley wrote an article that the Angels want diapers? I think he spelled it wrong.

Ladies, if you're at a bar and notice that kyle is also at the bar, do not leave your drink unattended.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 13, 2009 -> 11:01 AM) This is getting awfully personal, let's take it back a couple of notches (i.e., not telling someone what kind of person they are, that is a road this thread doesn't need to go down). I find condoning civilian casualties equally awful. -
On a related note, why the heck is industrialized hemp still illegal to grow in the U.S.? It's a fantastic crop that doesn't need pesticide and has multiple uses.

I've had that one on my list of movies to see. Is it still in theaters?

QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 13, 2009 -> 09:06 AM) Dungy is a great man and was certainly a good coach. However, people in the national media (and lovie smith) are claiming he is one of the best coaches of all time, which I have a tough time buying into. While he was a defensive coach in TB (where he was an above average coach, but nothing else...only division champs 1 time) his defenses with the Colts were almost always subpar. He had a record under .500 in the playoffs, and quite frankly was just blessed to have arguably the best QB of all time on his team. I know he won the one superbowl, but how many times at the end of the year have the colts been a disappointment in the playoffs? I think candidly most Indy fans would tell you that this team should have won more superbowls, hell Dungy said it himself. I'm not really trying to be harsh, I guess my point is just when you have a truly great player like Peyton Manning, (not to mention HOF WR in Harrison, and one potentially in Wayne, and a potential HOF RB in Edge) alot of coaches will win a ton of games. You could pretty much substitute Don Schula for Tony Dungy and Dan Marino for Manning above and the consensus is that Schula was one of the greatest ever. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 13, 2009 -> 07:55 AM) Saving Sarah Marshall Is that the one where Tom Hanks tries to save Sarah Marshall deep behind enemy lines in WWII?

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jan 12, 2009 -> 05:14 PM) I know the gist of it, and frankly, if they are killing Hamas terrorists, I'm all for it. You have the same "kill all" attitude that you despise in your enemy. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 12, 2009 -> 12:39 PM) There's something about watching it on a big screen with the sound of a projector faintly in the background that I love. +1 Besides, I like to support oscar-worthy films and download the garbage films out there like Transformers, etc.
