  1. QUOTE (TheBlackSox8 @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 05:37 PM) screenshots for MLB 09 the show I'll definitely be getting this one.
  2. This Obama appointment makes me very happy.
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 09:14 AM) As a Brees owner whom he helped to a championship, I believe you should retract him from that comment. Brees had both the touchdowns you speak of and had a decent day. Didn't Marshall put up like 12 points with a 120+ yard effort? You should complain about being the dude who took LT when all signs pointed to bad this year. Also, AP had an off-day, but never, EVER start two WR from the same team. Sorry to see you lost though, but your team was destined for failure! Going against the worst team in football I expected a ridiculous game by Brees. It wasn't bad but I would have expected at least 3 TDs against the Lions. I traded for LT a week before his bye. My top pick was Peterson. Thought LT would be a nice #2 especially after getting some added rest with the bye. Didn't really pan out. And for all the hype Marshall was getting early on he really wasn't a scoring machine. Sure he had a nice game but my opponents players were all getting TDs yesterday while my guys were just racking up yardage.
  4. The Saints, Broncos, Vikings, and Chargers cumulatively get 14 offensive TDs yesterday. So how many of those 14 TDs went to my supposed studs of Brees, LT, Adrian Peterson, Marshall, and Royal? 2!! Argh!! I hate fantasy football.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) A good portion of his blog posts are comical in nature. Like this gem:
  6. QUOTE (rangercal @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) if anyone is depending on anything more than that , they deserve to lose. Turned out to be a nice outing but going against the worst team in the NFL I was hoping for 3 or 4 TD passes. I'll take it though.
  7. Thank you Drew Brees for being a complete no-show against the worst team in football and most likely costing me $1K.

    QUOTE (Soxy @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 12:33 PM) I think you'll really like it. Easily one of the best movies of the past decade. We just picked it up along with Barbarella. Should be a fun weekend.
  10. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 12:35 PM) Obama doesn't support gay marriage, that shouldn't have been a secret, he's never pretended to support it either. He supports gays and gay rights is on his agenda, but not 100%. But isn't Warren someone who proactively opposes gay marriage? Seems like there could have been a thousand better choices for the selection.

    QUOTE (Soxy @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) The Lives of Others or The Philadelphia Story (depending on if you want funny or serious) I think I'll try The Lives of Others. Thanks!
  12. After Obama was silent on prop 8 and now this, I could see why the GLBT community is not happy.

  14. For any old school junglists out there...
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 19, 2008 -> 12:33 PM) Yeah, it's hilarious to me. I just want to tell them via a loudspeaker "guys, all you have to do is drive a few mph slower, brake earlier, and turn a little slower, like you do when it rains, seriously IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL AND THE WORLD ISN'T ENDING" Have you ever been in a car while a friend, neighbor, relative, or cab driver were driving? You're telling me you'd like all of those people to drive at the same speed as you in snowy conditions? I'm glad most of these drivers drive slower than molasses on days like this. Who knows how many more traffic fatalities we'd have if they didn't.

    QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 19, 2008 -> 04:35 AM) Pineapple Express was incredibly funny. When Saul busts his foot through the windshield, it might be one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen. My rankings for recent comedies: 1a) Role Models 1b) Pineapple Express 2) Step Brothers 3a) Knocked Up 3b) Superbad 4a) Forgetting Sarah Marshall 4b) 40 Year Old Virgin 5) Zack and Miri Make a Porno Pineapple is easily #1 IMO.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 05:00 PM) Of all the stupid things Bush has said and done, that isn't even on the radar. Talk about overanalyzing and overparsing someone's words. I think the blog post was merely a funny observation. Nothing more. A good portion of his blog posts are comical in nature.
  20. QUOTE (Wanne @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 02:27 PM) I LOVE BOBBY!!! Hope that chip stays on his shoulder all year... Well if not the chip at least this...
  21. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 02:20 PM) If the game is fun, people will play it. It doesnt have to be blue ray to bring in the guy who wants to play an RPG or MMO More power to them if they could pull it off. I just doubt the hardcore gamer would play a graphically inferior version of a game on a Wii if they can get a better version of it on other platforms.
  22. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 02:14 PM) Is that fixing something that isnt broken, or engineering a new revenue stream? With the console's limitations I really don't see how far they could make advances to bring in the hardcore gamer anyway.
  23. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 02:00 PM) I honestly think Nintendo will start a bigger program to bring in some hardcore gamers within the next year or so. JMO of course, but they know they need to step into that market a little bit Why fix something that isn't broken?
