  1. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 07:50 PM) Oh, you mean the bleeding heart Congress who have the balls to at least try to get rid of earmarks? dude, you're being delusional. they don't want to get rid of earmarks. they just say that stuff and then sign legislation with tons of pork in it.
  2. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) devastating body blow to America's image as the former champion of human rights and dignity. You know you stole that line from Kofi. admit it. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 06:46 PM) Considering the other options in Iraq.... hey, lets just throw another 100,000,000,000 at Iraq. that should fix things. http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews....=rss&rpc=22
  3. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 02:39 PM) I think, if we are serious about illegal immigration - these companies need to be fined hardcore. definately. QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) The government will not warn businesses or consumers when the same social is being used multiple times, and we are going to fine Swift $65,000,000? How does that make sense? If a bank loaned the criminal money, should the bank be fines also? I'm for fining the company if they helped the people with this identity theft, but if they gathered the necessary documents, and those documents are proved to be stolen, I can't see how the company shouldbe punished. We're holding them to a higher standard than the IRS, Social Security, etc. The company was knowingly enganging in illegal practices. at the very least the should face substantial fines. i don't buy this "well, i didn't know 40% of my employees were illegal" bs.
  4. Free Saddam!!! http://www.petitiononline.com/freeiraq/petition.html you know you want to.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 05:24 PM) Pu**ies.
  6. QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) I call BS. Give me proof of that. Germans killed 6 million innocent people in one war. I doubt the US has killed that many in all wars combined. it is BS Balta is right about Russian casualties. I don't know where Texsox got the numbers that suggest the US has killed more people than any other country in History, but he may want to find a new soucre of information.
  7. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 04:59 PM) Would you disagree that some aspects of our lives have been changed significantly due to "security" needs? The only things I can think of is longer lines at airports. IMO, the amount of incursions on privacy and civil liberties in the name of security has been minimal and appropriate.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) I think he was referring to a different group of roughly 19 Muslims. I still don't see the correclation you are trying to reach. There is a large difference between 'tightening' security in airports and a rapid erosion of civil liberties.
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 03:57 PM) We're doing exactly what the extremists want us to do - we walked right into their trap. A small number of idiots, who use Islam as a shield, have managed to kink American society so badly that some aspects of it aren't even recognizable anymore. That is an exremely abstract and generalized conclusion you are reaching. Exactly what aspects of American society have been 'ruined' by the actions of the airline in question?
  10. I think this whole thing, on the Imams part, was just a scheme to get attention and a quick pay day. I'm sure they knew their actions would cause them to be removed from the plane. suprise! a lawsuit from the Imams http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/view.php?Stor...11-125716-8798r
  11. yea, doesn't suprise me. it's the Tribune, they own the cubs. they've always been pro-cubbie. don't buy the paper if it pisses you off.
  12. a cards hat? wtf QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 11:51 PM) I really could care less if Mark Buerhle wore a Cubs hat. how about a twins cap?
  13. a main reason they don't use small attacks, in my opinion, is many terror cells in the U.S. have been successfully disrupted. someone with no ties to the groups, but feels the terrorist campaign is just and a fight for muslim freedom, would have an easy time pulling off an attack such as the one mentioned in the article. it's fortunate that most Americans agree that surveillance of radical terror groups isn't "racism", but logical and necessary.
  14. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 01:08 PM) I'm steadily coming up. any member of the 'Boone Logan fan club' definately deserves to be soxtalk president.
  15. QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 06:08 PM) Damn that Paul Konerko is the most selfish player I've ever seen
  16. Well, if he's been writing for the simpsons in recent years, i bet his "george bush cartoon" will be lame and not hilarious.
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 04:42 PM) Saw the pictures on TV earlier. Not really sold. They erosions could easily be made by winds or something, unless wind isn't possible in space. solar winds
  18. QUOTE(ChiSox9 @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) XBox 360 ... it was sweet... all he had to do was give up Uribe and the Yanks were all over it!
  19. QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 02:59 PM) Even worse than Rodman in a Bulls uniform. Rodman was great for the Bulls.
  20. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 11:29 AM) question from the non-science major in PA, why do they use gold plated stuff in space? it makes stuff look really cool.
  21. no way Bonds won't be on the WHite Sox. book it. if he is, i'll boo him every game i go to.
  22. QUOTE(juddling @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 11:56 AM) i bet Mary's dad thought he was the only Dick in her life! zing!
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 07:12 PM) We'd need to elect a house and a senate to pull that off. No my friend, a recall election is where it's at. Do we have any steroid-abusing Austrians who post here? RECALL! i wonder if we have any crack smoking mayors in da house
  24. hopefully the court will get it right this time and end the public schools system of racial discrimination.
