Ozzie's post game comments on Sammy
He was referring to the fact that Sammy is going to have to hit, because Tex will be walked every time. He wasn't saying Sammy is going to be beaned or anything like that, it just sounded bad.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 12:03 PM) Its increasing though as generations of f***wads reproduce at a higher rate than people of intelligence, respect and honor. Watch the movie Idiocracy for a full breakdown. I've seen it. It be f***ing hilarious.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 01:14 PM) Buehrle's going to prove he should be the ace and will go out and help this team to a win. I've got this one. MBINAA that'll save someone else the trouble. I heart Mark, though.

QUOTE(beautox @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 01:12 PM) yeah, i hate the way AJ sets its like last second but thats just a personal thing, he also had s***ty pitch selection. 0-2 count on sosa wow. This entire season our pitchers have been lacing 0-2 fastballs down the heart of the plate, which I don't understand.- White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/18/07 (W) ~Buehrle No-Hitter~
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 01:07 PM) I can't wait to see grindErstad lead off and hit into several 4-3 ground outs. Yes, the groundouts to first are f***ing awesome!- White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/18/07 (W) ~Buehrle No-Hitter~
FWIW, we're in for another long evening tonight. The Sox are woeful against Kevin Millwood, despite their 2-0 record against him. In 5 games started against the White Sox in his career, Millwood has a 1.32 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and 26 strikeouts compared to 4 walks in 34.0 IP. He has never given up a homerun to the Chicago White Sox, which is the only way we score these days, solo homeruns. Buehrle, we need 8 shutout innings from you to have a prayer tonight...- SouthSide Report: Turns out the Season Isn't Over
QUOTE(beautox @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:10 PM) id like to hear some opinions from the tribe side about, hafner/cc situation. Is Andy Marte a bust, would they rather have kouzmanoff? are they the team to beat going forward 08-onward with their talented farm? where is their bp going to come from? How does their rotation shake out if they loose CC to FA i would be very interested to hear a well informed tribe fan's opinion on such matters. Yeah, two years ago Mr. Marte was can't miss, and I was royally frustrated when he landed in Cleveland. He flew under the radar in the preseason, and is barely hitting .100. However, he could be one of the slew of batters this season that are underperforming.- Fire Greg Walker
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 12:07 PM) Its just horrible to me that we have only scored 39 runs thus far in this season. Thats 21 less that the freakin twins. I was just joshing. The approach our hitters have had this season is reprehensible. Last night, we all knew Crede was going to get busted low and away. If he can't make an adjustment and hit the ball to opposite field, when the whole stadium knew that's where ever pitch in the at bat was going, well, he needs to be coached better. I completely agree with you, Rock. You and your gravity-defying tittied, beer guzzling little lady over there.- Ideas for promoting baseball/White Sox in China
I have read a lot of China's recent interest in baseball, and the fact that it is growing. I know the Yankees have a great presence over there, but I am unsure about the White Sox. Excerpted from this article Making Sox-Yanks hit home in Japan- Fire Greg Walker
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 12:03 PM) Ill rub your nose in this thread Steve Heh, as long as I get to look at the avatar you squirrelly bastard.- Fire Greg Walker
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 11:59 AM) We havent even scored 40 runs yet. We are currently scoring runs at a worse pace than the f***ing Royals. Its time to stir things up before we are a lost cause. Wait, Rock, it's been hard to tell from your presence in this thread. Do you want Greg Walker fired?- What makes me bullish on America
QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 10:03 AM) Unfortunately, I believe that for every two kids like that, there's a Springer studio audience's worth of f***heads coming along. I guess that makes me Bearish on America, although to be fair, I think that about people in general, not just Americans. There's a Springer studio audience's worth of f***heads in ever generation, including yours there Mr. Critic. You're just at the age that all of the "Young Whippersnappers" really piss you off. Thanks for sharing the story, Texsox... always good to hear.- Pods Storage Question
QUOTE(Balance @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 11:34 AM) Has anyone here used one of those temporary portable storage services like Pods Storage or Door to Door? How was your experience with them? We're looking for a place to store some of our stuff when we put our place on the market, and it seems like a good idea to just have the company drop off a storage container at our place, we fill it, they pick it up and store it, and then they deliver it to our new place when we're ready for it. I'm looking to see if anyone has anything good or bad to say about them.... I've never done it, but if it's a good price and it seems like a reputable company, the idea is a good one.- LOST! thread

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 02:15 PM) I kept thinking they were going to show back up (Walt and his dad) but I guess that isn't the case. The actor, Harold Perrineau, who plays "Michael" was not signed on nor paid for a single episode from season three. However, he's rumored to be coming back in season 4.- White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/18/07 (W) ~Buehrle No-Hitter~

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) Was it Hriniak? Bring back Walt! Big Hurt used him to get himself back on the MVP track... using him for Uribe... just hire the motherf***er! QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 08:01 AM) Since Hriniak isn't willing to join a team full-time (if I recall), maybe the Sox can contract with him to rebuild the hitting coaches and theis system, throughout all levels of the Sox organization. Have him choose the coaches, give them some direction on methodology, maybe even move a few players around. I love it.- White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/17/07 (L)
Joe Crede could learn something from Sammy Sosa there. OPPOSITE f***ING FIELD.- White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/17/07 (L)

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:15 PM) Some more nice execution on double plays by this team...not! Let's see if Wilkerson makes us pay. At least Gooch got the lucky call that could have gone either way...- White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/17/07 (L)
QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 07:56 PM) Tejada is actually a good pitcher, may have best stuff on that staff. What about B-Mac?- White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/17/07 (L)
