QUOTE(Texsox @ May 1, 2007 -> 05:50 PM) Yep, and as rap has become more popular, the image of women has declined. We could mark '83 as the beginning of the decline. coincidentally, i was born in 83... the beginning of the decline!

For Gio: What is it like to get traded for such established players as Jim Thome and Freddy Garcia. Ego-booster or pressure-packer?

New Siggy
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 1, 2007 -> 01:40 PM) No, I wanted any kind of feedback, but yours puzzled me a bit. I'm simply paying homage to a great play and the picture really fit into the idea I had in my head. how dare you moon me. a year after the play, my reaction is "zzzzzzzzzzzzz"

New Siggy
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 1, 2007 -> 12:51 PM) Well, does timeliness make or break the graphical elements of a sig? You asked for thoughts... I said it was a good looking sig but old and played... next time you only want thoughts on the graphical elements, state so.

From what I hear, he's incredibly demanding and not flexible... he basically wants to take ownership of player moves and what not. though with that track record...

Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
Going into the series, I don't understand how anyone would think that old Heat team would stand a chance against the Bulls.

New Siggy
It's a great looking sig, but it's an old play that would have been cool to honor last season... looking at it, it seems like something that would have been put together about a year ago.

Did Bears sign Darius Walker
can't argue with adding wolfe and walker at the price it cost us this offseason (one 3rd round pick)

Bears TE Greg Olsen and the 7th Floor Crew
QUOTE(danman31 @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:24 AM) Exactly, including Haugh. It's just bad journalism on his part to ignore that obvious fact and not admit he himself had joked about similar things. Like was said above, it's issue of stupidity that he could get caught instead of a character issue. I sent him an email about it, actually...

Bears TE Greg Olsen and the 7th Floor Crew
I think the lyrics are hilarious, and almost everyone who ever went to college participated in stuff like this or joked like that...

Big Hurt Countdown to 500 Thread
QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 03:50 PM) Emmit was plenty pissed at the Cowboys when they cut him loose. Things change, I hope it does for Frank after he hits 600. No chance in hell those legs get him to 600...

1B/DH (speculative)
Just a thought, reports have it that NYM is looking to deal Delgado. If Thome is out for an extended period of time, he could fill in... However, I'm sure his contract would nix any of that... just wanted to get discussion going, while there's no real appropriate place to put this thread (yet).

Entourage
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 09:43 AM) I have loved the way they have broken down Ari and how they are rebuilding his character. He has always been one of the strongest, if not the strongest character in the show. The way they pulled the rug out from under him and revealed a different side of Ari has been a really great part of this season to watch. Im really curious as to how Ari got in the good graces of the head of Warner Bros(I think that was the production company) to free up Medillan for Vince. I thought Vince burned that bridge to the ground. Yes, I am interested to see how this plays out. Mediilen seemed like it was dead, but its fairly obvious Ari is going to pull it off and Vince will be back. I adored in an episode a week ago or so, when Ari looked at his screensaver and saw himself and Vince together and started crying. Then he got his "Ari-ness" back and the way he fired that guy was classic. "Tell me if you can read this." Then he scribbles, with his hair everywhere, "GET THE F*CK OUT!" Hilarious.

Garrett Wolfe, NIU, Chicago Bears
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 08:44 AM) Bush is not what fits the Bears needs at all, and he's hurt REALLY badly, so I don't get that love here. I understand for sure that people could be upset over passing Pittman, as he could be a very good pro. I will say they reached a round early for Garrett, but he's a GREAT blocker and pass catcher for a running back and has home run ability, which makes him a perfect 3rd down back and change of pace guy, as well as somebody to stand next to Hester on kickoff returns. He fits EXACTLY what the Bears need if Benson is as good as they think he is. That is the most honest opinion I can give ya on him, having spent 3 years seeing him play every game. He isn't good enough to be a pro bowler, but he can do exactly what they drafted him to do very well. Key is, Benson has to be really good. Check out his numbers over 3 years. He torched Michigan for 150 at the big house, he had 202 yards in one half against a nationally ranked Bowling Green team, he had 225 yards against a Northwestern team that was a 4th and 21 stop against Penn State away from a Co-Big 10 title, he finished his career with 6,000 yards from scrimmage and over 5,000 rushing, and he didn't play a down as a freshman. There are a lot of things you can question, but production isn't on the list. The only slow down he had at all was late last year at times (and he still had almost 2,000 yards rushing), and that was because he was (1) playing for the worst offensive coordinator i've ever seen (enjoy him, Ga. Tech fans), (2) teams had 10 in the box (yes 10) on every play and (3) he was playing with a knee injury so bad he had to sign a waiver before every game so that NIU wouldn't be liable if he was badly injured due to the risk of playing. He's good enough to be what the Bears drafted him for, period. Benson HAS to be good though because Wolfe is not an every down NFL back. voice of reason
