QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 16, 2013 -> 08:02 PM) Are you sure that really happened? Dammit. Thanks for reminding me how old I am!!! I'm 26 days older than Mariano. Can always say "I'm a Sixties Kid," haha. When Vizquel was playing not so long ago, it was comforting to know there was at least one player in MLB older than me, along with Jamie Moyer. Ken Griffey, Jr., is right around the same ago, too. I'd never have guessed you were so old!

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 17, 2013 -> 09:46 AM) Steve, Maybe it would help if you would elaborate on the project a bit? New logo for a content management / collaboration software product.

Keep em coming, gentlemen. Even animals that transport s***. Something that's not ugly that would make for a good logo idea.

Do you know any animals that share/work together?
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 17, 2013 -> 08:51 AM) Beavers are known for working together, and as an added bonus you get all sorts of double entendre jokes. Hahaha. Yes, we should avoid beavers.

I'm trying to come up with a mascot for a project - I need an animal species that's known for sharing or working together. Anyone have any ideas?

So much bad, non-science related math going on here. Four beers in four hours can have a vastly different effect on two men of same age and size. The body is a wonderland!

The Beatles were still technically a band when Mariano Rivera was born. He was born 4 months after we landed on the moon. Still in the bigs.

Not that I ever expect the Bulls to actually pull off a meaningful trade.

2012-2013 NBA thread
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 16, 2013 -> 04:20 PM) Pointless talking about Love. Bulls have nothing in players/assets that would peak any interest (not that they have any interest in trading him anyway). Well, to be fair, a lot of deals for good players have gone down recently with s*** going back. And they do have that Charlotte pick. I mean, Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, and some bad picks for James Harden!

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 16, 2013 -> 04:08 PM) Wasn't Hinrich supposed to be the starting 2 guard when Rose came back? If they can swing a deal for Love involving Deng would you guys be ok with a Rose-Hinrich-Butler-Love-Noah starting 5? Yes, but it'll never happen.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 16, 2013 -> 03:05 PM) You do understand that by "next year," he is literally referring to the year 2014. He's still going to miss the first 2+ months of the season. Hell, it could be just referring to any time next season. Maybe he'll be back by the playoffs.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2013 -> 02:49 PM) It helped the a lot. It gave them the knowledge that they could both score, and win games, without Derrick Rose and Luol Deng. It also gave them a starter in Jimmy Butler. Yup. They learned that Nate Robinson can get hot enough to carry you in some games and cold enough to bury you and set records in futility. Oh wait, they learned nothing.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 16, 2013 -> 02:40 PM) Because I know you and your track record so well, I'm going to assume the Bulls will add Sasha Vujacic and call it an offseason. You also seem to know the Bulls. *sigh*

2012-2013 NBA thread
I don't know. If I told you the Bulls could add a 25 year old MVP candidate to a roster that made the 2nd round of the playoffs - how would you rate their chances? D-Wade won't be a factor next year - hell, he's not one now. The East is a joke. Thibs seems finally at the point where he's no longer going to fall in line and allow the Bulls to pawn off guys like Rip as the answer. I'm guessing a big move will be made this summer.

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 16, 2013 -> 12:12 PM) You can actually get pulled over for this too I think Exactly - for the purposes of a DUI a bicycle counts as a vehicle, too.- f***ing drunk driver
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 16, 2013 -> 10:37 AM) I don't think the solution is punishment. I think that if there is a solution it's to be proactive. Governments and businesses make a fortune on people drinking in this country. They ought to be able/willing to establish and provide services for people to get home. IMO, it would actually help their business; I could have an extra drink or two if I had a safe way to get home provided by the business that didn't involve me struggling to figure out where my car was the next day. Do the businesses also provide transportation TO their locations? It's simply an unrealistic idea.- f***ing drunk driver
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 16, 2013 -> 10:34 AM) Why not? Automakers are putting all kinds of stuff in cars...why can't they do this? How does this prevent someone else from blowing for the driver? - f***ing drunk driver
