  1. So Flapship was accepted as an official Google News Source.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) No. He's supposed to be swinging at meatball pitches, making more contact, hitting more home runs, and driving in more runs. It will eventually lead to more walks. But he makes no contact. He's f***ing awful.
  3. So the big plan with Adam Dunn was to take away the one thing (taking walks) that lead to him getting meatball pitches, and thus turn him into a complete waste of a player?
  4. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 08:55 AM) no, she has some very serious emotional issues. Apparently years ago she chased her brother down a hallway with a pair of scissors, then when he closed the door she stabled the door. SHe's put a dent in our family room wall when she threw a hair brush at it. Any kids?
  5. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 05:17 PM) if it were foreign someone would have taken credit by now... It being on tax day I feel like it has to be domestic.
  6. "We will find out who did this, and we will hold them accountable." Don't make promises you can't keep...
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 05:03 PM) Right now? I'd want the Bulls as a 2nd round matchup, they're less deep than some college teams. With Noah and Gibson and Hamilton and Hinrich all playing, that's a different story, but what are the odds of that? Bulls are 4-0 against the Knicks this year with varying degrees of a depleted roster.
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 04:53 PM) also, 22 people are injured (maybe more), that's not nothing. Where are you getting your old-ass info? The Boston Globe ✔ @BostonGlobe MARATHON EXPLOSIONS: Two killed, at least 90 injured in Boston Marathon finish line explosions; third blast reported at JFK Library
  9. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) Why? Why cant I point out the real truth here? If two teenagers wrapped a V6 Mustang around a tree and got themselves killed it wouldn't get this attention, if two 10 year olds in the cancer ward passed on the same day it wouldn't even make the news. But a couple bombs go off with similar results and we cant help but be enamored by it. I generally wouldn't care about people's reaction to this, but I think it carries a price to immerse yourself so much in these stories. We get scared and we want something to be done to make us feel more secure. So because the first two Americans to be killed by a bomb in this country since I-dont-even-know-its-been-so-long an entire city is on lockdown and people have found a whole new reason to be scared to live their lives. That's really all I wanted to say, I think someone should say it. There's no reason to say this. Those two events, though they may yield the same amount of deaths (we don't know yet) are completely unrelatable.
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 04:47 PM) edit: and first reaction would probably be to gtfo Yeah, that was my point!
  11. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 04:41 PM) They've already been pretty substantially wrong twice now. I don't think they really are more credible than Steve. Let's be honest. One of these involves an American tragedy. One involves Derrick Rose's playing the game of basketball. I would like this comparison stricken.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 04:30 PM) I respect the balls on those policemen to go straight at the bomb source without thinking twice.

QUOTE (juddling @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) I will give huge props to Joshua Jackson who I didn't think much of as an actor before the show but was very impressed by the end. quack quack quack
  14. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 12:06 PM) For anyone in the area, I'd recommend Justin Bentley with Golftec Des Plaines. I've been working with him for about 2.5 years now and he has completely changed my game in every way. What does something like this run, cost-wise?
  15. QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 11:13 AM) It isn't even so much that he has to go. As I've argued for a long time now; It's just that he cannot bat in the middle of the order. If we had a productive left handed hitter hitting clean up, it might be acceptable to have Dunn bat 6TH or 7TH. No one seems to offer any suggestions regarding who that might be, via trade or free agency, but the Sox better find someone quick. In lieu of that, all we can do is hope that out of desperation, he decides to try a different approach. What he's doing obviously doesn't work. Joey Votto will work fine.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 11:47 AM) I hope it's 0-0 and we win it off a Blue Jay reliever in the ninth. I'd be down with this. Is Santos playing yet? If so, he'd work!

Mad Men was fantastic last night.
  18. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 11:42 AM) I know I am supposed to bow before the throne of Rose because he's a Chicago kid, but I have lost a TON of respect for him. I found it so funny that Carmelo Anthony was telling people to leave Rose alone, while his own teammate, Iman Shumpert, was injured on the same day and he's been back since January 17. It's in Melo's best interest that Rose doesn't return this year, because if the standings stay the same they could meet in round 2.
  19. Two more games in the Bulls season. No D-Rose. I can't believe that s***.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 06:11 AM) Yet the Tigers are only 1 game in front of the Sox. Bodes well as we all know the Sox will hit and catch the ball better. Wait. We know that?
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 09:52 AM) I'm not going to get caught up in sample sizes. LOL Now, that was prior to the weekend, but it still applies.
  22. That was such a great tournament to watch. Had the father-in-law and sister-in-law's boyfriend over to watch masters all day Saturday. Hooked the pc to the tv and stereo and watched from 11-1 - hit the bar watched the rest of the day. Yesterday was good for recovery.
