  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 02:27 PM) Laurence Bowers of Mizzou came back from an ACL tear and yeah, his jumpshot is pretty great now. He can even consistently hit the three (he's a PF). But I'm hoping rose has a better recovery because Bowers appears to have lost some athleticism and shotblocking since the injury. Rose will have to play into that shape; Ricky Rubio is dealing with that right now. Rose won't feel right probably for a few months even after he returns, so expecting a 100% Rose before tip off of the 2013/14 season is expecting too much. Sure, Rose's work-ethic is unrivaled, which bodes well for a full recovery (and further development into an all-around beast), but there's just no way he'll hit the ground dominating.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 12:10 PM) There's no homer quite like you. Problem, of course, is that, regardless of his talent level, Forte's never been able to punch the ball into the endzone, and if you are to even be a candidate for MVP as a running back, you need to score touchdowns Forte has become so overrated - the dude can't stay healthy and can't shed tackles.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 10:33 AM) Everything you thought you knew about your Nintendo is wrong http://www.buzzfeed.com/hunterschwarz/blow...medium=buzzfeed Bulls***, blowing on the cartridges worked!
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 11:05 AM) Damn. I think South Bend just exploded. Wrong Kelly. EDIT: Already corrected.
  5. Brandon Marshall‏@BMarshall Heard so many GREAT things about Coach Trestman can't wait to follow his lead. Reading his book now #coolread #BEARDOWN It's too bad Hester can't read - maybe Trestman put together a coloring book at some point, too.
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 09:59 AM) Nothing would make me happier. All these meatheads clammering for a new D should shove it. Marinelli is excellent at what he does and It will be huge for the contunity of the players to have them back. I think Briggs & co. will breathe a huge sigh of relief if this does in fact happen. Keeping Marinelli is huge. There's nothing wrong with the D. Maybe change things when Briggs,Tillman and Peppers are gone, but til then set it and forget it. The Bears need to leave this offseason with Jake Long and at least 2 of their top 4 picks spent on OL.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 08:18 AM) Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi Manny Ramirez has 4 HR during Dominican Winter League postseason and wants to continue MLB career, according to agent Barry Praver. He must be juicing again.
  8. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 09:27 AM) DeAza had a .760 OPS playing CF and will get $1.7M. Beckham had a .668 OPS playing 2B and will get $3.1M. That seem out of whack to anybody else? Gordon Beckham making over $1,000,000 absolutely seems out of whack. He's f***ing horrendous.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 09:35 AM) The Score meatheads are in rare form this morning They really, really are - so many people with so many opinions on a hire they have no clue about... just sad. We'll see what happens, hopefully this hire is a stroke of genius.
  10. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 09:25 AM) It's pretty much made up besides a rumor from realgm that the Bobcats supposedly want their pick back (and discussed Biyombo) and an article stating teams may wanna trade their draft picks this season. It's amazing how f***ing awful the Bobcats continue to be - I'd love for the Bulls to hold on to that pick and certainly they need to wait for more than f***ing Bismack Biyombo regardless. How the f*** did the Bulls manage to move Tyrus? Sad story - Tyrus is still owed 8.694 million in 2013/14 and 9.388 million in 2014/15.
  11. I CAN'T BELIEVE DA BEARS WUD HIRE A GUY FROM CANADIA
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 11:16 PM) So, for some reason the Bobcats are trying to trade their pick. They've had discussion with the Bulls because they REALLY want their pick back. Biyombo has come up in trade talks. So... Bobcats Pick + 2013 Bulls Pick + Rip for 2013 Bobcats Pick + Biyombo 2013-2014 Rose/Hinrich/Teague McLemore/Hinrich Deng/Butler Boozer/Gibson Noah/Biyombo I'd be ecstatic with that. Are you just making up rumors? Where's your source? Obviously the above wouldn't happen, but boy it'd be nice to unload Rip and get Biyombo in here to have that backup PF/C defensive force like Asik was last year.
  13. Hopefully the above has become a thing of the past.
  14. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 08:21 AM) Garrett Wolfe was on M&H this morning, he played under Trestman this year in the CFL. Sounds like he respected the guy a lot. Did Garrett Wolfe manage to not stab anyone while in Montreal?
  15. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 08:02 AM) AdamSchefter: Former Saints interim head coach Aaron Kromer has accepted the Offensive coordinator and offensive line coaching job with the Chicago Bears. That's badass.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 16, 2013 -> 07:25 AM) Maybe we will get to see some offense in Chicago for once! I'll believe that when I see it.
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 06:25 PM) He's a mini-tank right now. I love him forever.
  18. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 06:34 PM) Dave Toub is the new Kansas City special teams coach. That hurts us quite a bit. The Bears need to get a point where special teams doesn't come close to out-scoring offense. Hopefully we're headed in said direction.
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 04:02 PM) They would. He shot lasers out of his eyes. and lightning bolts out of his arse
  20. leroy boyd - 5 hours ago I am glad that Rose has deciided to get into the weight lifting to get strongr and improve his mscle levels. This is going to make him much better. I love comments on articles - and of course that guy's name is Leroy Boyd.
  21. Soxtalk has how many members?? Let's all pool 10 bucks and buy this sonofab****.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 11:53 AM) This is pretty f***ed up: http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id...y-chicago-bulls Even if Dolan gets some dirt, so what? Is he going to tattle on players to the league? James Dolan is an idiot.
  23. "The job [of quarterback] is like a Japanese garden," Steve Young said. "It takes a lot of care. It takes a lot of time. It takes intricate work. … I've got to believe that if someone came in and in a resonant way could speak to him -- like when you put your finger near a crystal glass, it starts to sing to you -- that resonant sound that happens between quarterback and coach, that he would respond to that. Why wouldn't you respond to that?" What a fruit.
