Updating a previous item, Iman Shumpert (knee) has been cleared for full contact practice. Shumpert's return gives him clearance to participate in 5-on-5 practice drills, and it is just a matter of time before he makes his debut in mid-to-late January. Rose must be right around the corner.

Luongo oks trade anywhere Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo is in Florida preparing for the 2012-13 season, but for which team he plays that campaign remains in question. Luongo told the Toronto Sun he has given Vancouver GM Mike Gillis "the green light" to do whatever is best for the team, including trading the three-time all-star goaltender.
