QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 28, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) I would stay away from Aaron Rodgers, did you see how poorly Kyle Boller did? Yeesh. Aaron Rodgers' hands are too small, he won't make it in the NFL.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Nov 28, 2012 -> 12:21 AM) Anyone still watching SONS? Tonight's episode left me speechless. For those who dropped it, they've missed the best 5-episode stretch in that series' history. I was REALLY close after the Goggins debacle, but I am SO glad I stuck with it.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 27, 2012 -> 10:19 PM) If a horrible defense like the Eagles let him go then you know he isnt worth picking up. It's a lost season and they're saving money. Dude had 18 sacks last year and 13 the year before - I'd say he still has some talent despite that ship sinking. No team should ignore him.

Bears signed C/G Andre Gurode. A 127-game starter with the Cowboys and Ravens, Gurode takes the roster spot of DT Amobi Okoye, who was waived in a corresponding move. Not a corpse.

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 27, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) Just horrendous. And so boring. So so boring. That's the main gripe with this collection of stiffs - the only entertainment to be found is in the event of a Taj dunk or a Noah celebration. #TheReturnAlready I'm predicting 01/28 for Derrick Rose's first game, by the way.

Technology catch-all thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 07:54 AM) Basically it's the Starbucks effect. It will give you a good quality cup of coffee without a second thought. It is standardized quality. It will not give you the best cup of coffee you ever had, you could outperform it quite readily if you pay some attention to the type of beans you purchase, supplier, how they're roasted, grind them freshly yourself, etc, just as you can outperform Starbucks on quality by finding a local coffee shop that knows what they're doing. If I'm living in an area, I will take the time to figure out where the good coffee place in walking distance of work is. If I'm walking through an airport, I know that I will get a decent enough cup of coffee under the Starbucks sign without having to figure out what other place to visit. If you don't have the time or energy to put into learning how to produce that quality cup of coffee, a Keurig gets you "Close enough", and at a price level that is manageable for that type of people. This entire post kinda swung and missed on the benefits of a Keurig. It lets you single-serve quickly brew one cup of coffee in 30-seconds (assuming water's already heated). You can also make your own cup inserts with whatever grounds you want. I, still, however, don't want one in my house. I did just pick up the Elite for my sister and her husband, though.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 08:09 PM) This has to be the end of Norv Turner and Andy Reid right? If Bengals miss playoffs maybe Marvin Lewis too? I just had this conversation in my office. Norv clearly has nudies of the right people - I can't believe he survived past the LaDanian Tomlinson era, let alone this long. As for Reid, if he doesn't get canned he looks like he's ready to resign.

Joe blocking me from replying is likely the best thing that ever happened to me. I would have absolutely found a way to get suspended trying to reply to the zaniness posted the last two days. The out of bounds rule is the simplest rule in all of professional sports.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 27, 2012 -> 07:47 AM) That was just miserable last night. No team should blow a 27 point lead, ever. I remember when the Bulls lost that game when they were up 18-0.

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1865/iman-shumpert Iman Shumpert (knee) says doctors have told him he is on target to return in January and isn't worried about his role on a crowded roster. Didn't Shumpert 1. tear his ACL much worse than rose? 2. tear it only hours after rose? Bulls are very quiet. Adidas is very Quiet. Rose's people are Quiet. #THERETURN

2012-2013 NFL Thread
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 02:13 PM) The Apple stuff I post could easily be considered trolling, I don't deny that. But saying the Spaeth TD should not have been ruled one based off a similar call earlier in the year is NOT trolling. This is the NFL thread, not the Bears thread. Just because it's dominated by mostly Bears fans doesn't mean I have to see things in favor of the Bears. I'm not even a Packers and Lions or Vikings fan, I have no reason to try and disagree with Bears fans either. NOT trolling. Why is the out of bounds rule so difficult to grasp? It looked close via live tv, but the first replay clearly showed that his foot was in-bounds and hit the ground first, which is all that matters. It was close, though, I'll give you that.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 09:06 AM) It's particularly dumb because Cutler clearly turns his head to the right as he's passing by those guys and could easily being saying a quick "hey" Tom Jackson is an idiot. "It doesn't mean anything, it's just something."

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Seahawks starting CBs Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are both facing four-game suspensions for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing drugs. Per Schefter, Sherman and Browner are appealing the bans and "insist they are innocent." The substance for which they were popped is unclear, but their agents claim it's Adderall. Sherman and Browner are integral to Seattle's defense as physical press cornerbacks who make it incredibly difficult for opposing receivers to run pass routes. Sherman is more a shutdown-caliber corner. Browner is 6-foot-4 and more of a ballhawk. We should know more by early this week.

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 12:59 PM) I hope it's alright. I haven't played too much -- I didn't notice much of a tactile difference between the screens, but as expected the Samsung looks better. I bit on the Tegra processor and I liked Asus's reputation on putting out OS updates. If the s*** don't work, I'll be tearing it a new ass everywhere I can Given I'll likely hack mine the second I get it, the OS updates weren't exactly a huge deal!
