ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Seahawks starting CBs Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are both facing four-game suspensions for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing drugs. Per Schefter, Sherman and Browner are appealing the bans and "insist they are innocent." The substance for which they were popped is unclear, but their agents claim it's Adderall. Sherman and Browner are integral to Seattle's defense as physical press cornerbacks who make it incredibly difficult for opposing receivers to run pass routes. Sherman is more a shutdown-caliber corner. Browner is 6-foot-4 and more of a ballhawk. We should know more by early this week.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 11:49 PM) Galaxy Tab 2 at 179 or Nexus 7 at 200? Nexus 7 no-brainer.

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 12:59 PM) I hope it's alright. I haven't played too much -- I didn't notice much of a tactile difference between the screens, but as expected the Samsung looks better. I bit on the Tegra processor and I liked Asus's reputation on putting out OS updates. If the s*** don't work, I'll be tearing it a new ass everywhere I can Given I'll likely hack mine the second I get it, the OS updates weren't exactly a huge deal!

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 10:46 AM) If you guys are wondering, I got the Asus. I'll be happy to explain my choice if anyone is still up in the air. I apparently will have the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 under the xmas tree, now I have to wait. Let me know what you think of the ASUS. I played with a transformer over the weekend and the screen was so-so.

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) It is a concern for sure, but I'm just trying to weigh all the options. With the latest update - and the deals available right now - the Galaxy seems like a no brainer.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 11:03 PM) Its a medicore team right now. Very average. It's as if an MVP-level player would make some sort of difference!!!!

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 10:23 PM) If I go for Nexus 7 (price concerns), what do I lose from the 10 inch models like Nexus 10, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, ASUS, etc other than size? That's pretty much it. The Nexus 7 is a wonderful little device. I'm going for a larger tablet because I want more screen for NBA League Pass and at the gym.

That was an incredibly good Bond film. I don't know that I enjoyed it as much as Casino Royale, despite most reviewers claiming I would. However, I'll watch it a few more times before making a decision one way or the other. Really f***ing awesome movie.

Apparently Brian should have jumped all over that deal. What a crazy turn of events!

QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 01:08 PM) http://www.woot.com/offers/asus-10-1-tablet-keyboard-dock For $300, you get a Transformer and a keyboard dock. It is refurbished though. I'm just not sold on a keyboard dock. I mean, laptops.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 11:11 AM) Homeland was uncomfortable when everyone was listening in. Looks like a strong finish to the season. That was hilarious. Claire Danes' husband can't watch the show because he hates seeing his wife act-cry. I wonder how he feels about her getting ravaged??

NFL Week 12 Preview by John Norris (JPN). This one is yet again hilarious. I spent some time putting together a funny tebow thing.

The Chicago-Sun Times reports Alshon Jeffery's Wednesday knee scope will be "minor," and likely sideline him 2-4 weeks. Well, that was a fun week.

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 05:40 PM) How does this stack up? https://blackfriday.bestbuy.com/computers+a...b+memory++black That's a really well-reviewed tablet. http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/22/asus-tr...d-tf300-review/ The Tegra 3 processors are hot as hell (and not in the galaxy tab 2 10.1). I don't see you being unhappy with it. One feature missing on that is the IR Blaster on the Samsung (can be used to control home theater - something I'm intrigued by).

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 03:23 PM) I'm starting to lean that direction too. I can see the positives with the Nexus 10 over the Galaxy Tab 2...but the price paid for the extras is something I don't have. I think I would need the 10" monitor to really like the device, so I'd rather pay $300 for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 than $200 for Nexus 7. I have a 7 inch tablet right now, and really wanted more size. s***, this 10.1 is going to be lighter than the rooted Nook Tablet I have right now. Reviews you'll find for the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 are from May and June, but everything since the OS update just raves. I'm pretty excited. And yeah, I can't fathom spending another hundo on something so similar like the Nexus, when I can just Flash Jelly Bean on this bad boy.
-
This thread motivated me. Apparently with the latest OS update, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is an incredible steal at that price. Done. I'll probably upgrade it from Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean upon it's arrival.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) I need to decide whether I can make non-changeable, alternative plans for 12/7, which is when I have Hawks/Devils tix. Even if by some miracle they reached an agreement this week, there's no way they'd be playing that soon, is there? I'd estimate a 2% chance, at best. They absolutely will not be playing 12/7.
