  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 03:09 PM) Wouldn't be shocked if we saw Bynum go into "I don't give a sh*t" mode this year. Why, because he has an afro that makes him lazy? He's being billed as the star of that team, I don't really see why that would make him care less.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 01:51 PM) So are these players who are going overseas not going to play in 12-13 even if the season DOES start, or is there a clause in their contract that allows them to come back here if the NHLPA and owners reach an agreement? Unless they have Forrest Gump as their agent, there will be an out clause. Some NBA players goofed that up last year.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 12:17 PM) I have no problem with my wii, I'm looking forward to the WiiU. I am going to trade in the garbage that is Madden 13 today and pick up NBA 2k13 and have some fun with the Bulls.
  4. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 12:44 PM) Andre Roberts not on that list because he should already be off the market? Or are Young, SR and Hankerson better options? (Already have Gordon) Depends on need - it's not comprehensive by any means and no two leagues are the same. Andre Roberts' affinity for snagging touchdowns to start the season likely got him scooped up, but I wouldn't want a WR who had John Skelton or Kevin Kolb throwing to him, and that includes Larry Fitzgerald. You just can't depend on them.
  5. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 07:56 AM) [rant] Yesterdays waste of time debate highlights exactly what is wrong with everything political in this country, from the politicians themselves to the media, to the people, and in doing that, highlights why we are where we are as a nation. A nation of consumers, for consumers, by consumers. Beg, borrow, and declare bankruptcy...and then do it all over again. Nobody takes anything seriously anymore. Not even the politicians we elect. It's a joke to them, and while we laugh along with them at home, or on blogs, or Twitter, or Facebook, or by the water cooler, the reality is they're not laughing with us, they're laughing at us. After all, they're all millionaires we keep electing to fix the problems that affect the middle class/poor. Only they never fix them. But all the while they never fix them, this much is true: Every. Last. One. Of. Them. Gets. Richer. All these debates were to 99.999999999998% of the people/media -- including most of us here -- were reality TV events to laugh at. Point 1) What do we all talk about from the first debate? Big Bird. Point 2) What do we all talk about from the second debate? Binders. Point 3) What will do we all talk about from the third debate? Bayonets. In other words, 99.9999999998% of rest of the debates are forgotten or outright dismissed, because these three key points are all that matter...and they're all anyone talks about. Because, I don't know, they funny? But if you actually stop to think about it for a second, they're not funny...they're sad. It's sad we have politicians on a pedestal and these are the types of things that come out of their mouths. And we allow it. People making domain names for bayonets, binders, big bird, trend similar hashtags on the Twitterverse, etc...it's so honestly and profoundly sad to me that we all watch our nation crumble around us and all we can do is laugh at the morons that are hammering at the foundation with sledgehammers. The Fillibuster just got its best post ever.

  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 11:51 AM) Madness!!!! For the brief period that I owned the travesty that is the Nintendo Wii, the one saving grace was how f***ing awesome and fun those Super Mario Galaxy games were.
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 22, 2012 -> 01:13 PM) yeah the streaming video has added nothing to the prime experience. They also make it more difficult than it should to discern between their free videos and paid rentals. I could not disagree more - the entire Fringe library being on there is awesome, they have a ton of selection. Also, how difficult is it to select the "Amazon Prime" section to see which movies/shows qualify as free under Amazon Prime? There's tons. I'd say your review mostly tells us user error.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) I don't have much of a doubt that Suh did try to hurt Cutler. He ripped Cutler's helmet off last year. He also elbowed him in the head two years ago in Detroit. Suh's not stupid. He seems like a pretty intelligible person when you hear him talk. Which is probably why he didn't go after Cutler when he had a shot at him early in the second half. That probably would have resulted in a fine or suspension. But IMO, one of the worst parts of that sack was after the play, when Suh went over to check out Cutler on the ground. Suh didn't give two s***s about Cutler's well-being. He was trying to act like he didn't try to hurt Cutler on that play. I have to call bulls*** on this - you have no idea what Suh was thinking. If/when Peppers gets to the QB, I'd hope he took him down just like Suh did. The hit was perfectly legal, maybe now Jay will wear a flak jacket.
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 09:34 AM) I'm assuming you don't have a roommate that's just messing with you? Because sounds like someone's living there while you're gone. I'd be trying to hide out to watch them go in, and be calling the cops immediately. A camera catching people in the act is good evidence, though. I'd personally just change the doorknob, thus have a new key, and then send the landlord a bill to cover the $10 or so it cost.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 11:21 AM) And i've admitted as such. All I pointed out was that Lori is still awful. Do other people seriously disagree with that? Eh, I have a preggo fettish, so I'm down with Lori this season.
  12. This thread is full of win.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 22, 2012 -> 04:24 PM) keep us updated. Best post in history.

    2012 TV Thread

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 10:19 AM) But that's crap. It doesn't need to be that way. They can split, or just not talk to each other. Or guess what, they can f***ing deal with it instead of talking about over and over and over again without actually talking about anything. It's boring as sin and it's a huge problem with the show. I'm resigned to the fact that it's going to be a part of the show, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. At this point Lori isn't driving him to do anything. The group has taken her place. Ripping on The Walking Dead when they were wasting 8 episodes trying to find a little girl or at some boring farm is one thing, but the first two episodes this season have been awesome. Rick's giving her the cold shoulder because she's knocked up with another man's kid. It's still a storyline. He loves her, but that s***'s complicated, son. I was so happy when Rick put that machete through that prisoner's head. Seriously, just sit back and enjoy The Walking Dead this year and stop picking it apart. The show is f***ing awesome right now!

QUOTE (Boogua @ Oct 22, 2012 -> 09:10 AM) I don't understand how big easy keeps getting invited. He's useless. Yeah, he's the biggest fail in Challenge history. This season should pick up as the noobs have to start offing one another.
  19. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 20, 2012 -> 08:40 PM) A's got a steal, and the Marlins got robbed. Wasn't there a good market for Heath Bell before the trade deadline? And then they give him away with some 2nd RD prospect that had a terrible year in A-ball, while still paying $9M of his contract? Drugs much? Chris Young's OPS+ by season. 2006: 73 2007: 88 2008: 91 2009: 83 2010: 108 2011: 103 2012: 95 All tha for only $8.5 million (2013) or $11 million (2014, or $1.5 million buyout)! WHAT A STEAL! BEANE IS A GENIUS!
  20. Amazon Instant Video > Netflix - so many good shows on there for free with Amazon Prime ($79/year, free 2 day shipping on almost everything + Prime Instant Video is the best deal ever). It has newer, better shows than Netflix, is cheaper than Netflix ($7.99 x12 = $95.88), and gives you the sexy free 2-day shipping. I loves. It looks super sexy on my blu-ray player and ps3, too.
