QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) They'll probably do something stupid like sign Harden to a max contract. They have Eric Gordon. That'd be pointless.

Youkilis, $5.6 million traded to White Sox
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 03:53 PM) I think it would take about a week for almost all of us to regret trading Matt. He's choke city these days. Up 5 runs he'll 1-2-3 the competition, up 1? Walk, double, run. He has crumbled under pressure since the beginning of 2011.

The Wizards have traded Rashard Lewis and the No. 46 pick in the 2012 draft to the Hornets, in exchange for Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nba/182...or-okafor-ariza Awesome trade for the Hornets. They can buy Lewis out for a tick over 13 million (jesus christ, that dude is so loaded for being terrible), they dump the big money owed to Okafor, and yeah, Ariza is solid, but they aren't going anywhere. Big money to find someone to play with Davis soon.

KW whining about (OK bringing up) attendance again
QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 11:44 AM) There are a lot of non-prospect 3Bs in AAA who would be significant upgrades to what we have now. They could be had for next to nothing -- for example, look at what Arizona did to get Josh Bell from Baltimore. You don't need to spend millions of dollars to get Youk in order to improve the position. That's the lazy way out. You mean the guy with a .542 OPS in 468at bats this year, and the career .495 OPS? Spectacular GM ability.

Youkilis, $5.6 million traded to White Sox
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) I'd be curious how his back is. He could be a massive waste of money if his back is still acting up. Well, it sounds like that waste of money will be Boston's problem, they just want him gone so Will Middlebrooks can do his thang without awkwardness.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 10:58 AM) am I the only one that thinks it didnt look like Lebron cramped up last night? The way they were treating him and the way he was acting looked like a thigh bruise or strain or something. I was thinking hamstring pull/tear, but I'm no doctor. I don't think they'd be stretching him like they were if they thought that were the case, though.

Big Bad Youk is on a two game hitting streak. After going on a 6 game hitless streak.- 6/20 GT: SOX vs Cubs - 7:10pm - CSN
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) It's like the baseball god does not want the Sox to win any more. It's almost as if a .500 team that went on a 9 game winning streak is regressing to the mean. Shocking.- Can we please find a big league 3B?!
QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 09:55 AM) This guy would be a significant upgrade, and could be acquired cheaply: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?p...&pid=435222 I'm dead serious. At least your member name is accurate. You clown.- 2012 MLB Catch All thread
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 10:15 AM) Yeah, its still cheating and if he knows the other team knows why would he use that glove during a game? Maddon really is lookin like a crybaby this year. old and cranky- 2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 09:50 AM) Age 27 was Jordan's 7th year in the league. It's LeBron's 9th. Yeah, but there's no reason LeBron can't play as long as MJ did.- Catch-All Anything Thread
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 07:50 AM) So, has anyone here done the insanity workout? I don't feel like the gym is working like I want it too. The gym works whatever way you want it to!- 2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 08:14 AM) And instead we will get back to the greatest of all time talk from ESPN.. Oh joy. It depends on what type of run the Heat are about to go on, because statistically, you can't argue with LeBron being one of the best ever. He's the age that Jordan won his first title, and already more accomplished in piling up stats across the board. LeBron can finally not be a villain, because people can finally stop being terrified of the "big three" winning a title. This is LeBron's title, and Wade and Bosh have simply been spectators. ...waits for the Thunder to make history to make this post look dumb.- 2012 White Sox Catch-All thread
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) Its $90.45 for a bleacher seat tonight on ticketmaster. That's simply unbelievable. They need to adjust those prices. I only buy through StubHub anyway.- Hats off to Jake Peavy
Now that his money's been where his mouth is, I'm just loving this guy. He's a beast. I love that he said the Sox shouldn't be losing to a team like the Cubs.- 2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:24 PM) A little OT, but is anyone else incredibly excited to see LeBron and Durant on the same team this summer? Should be fun to watch. I've thought about that a lot since enjoying the Dream Team doc. Then I got sad thinking about a special kid from Chicago who can GO UPSTAIRS not participating. It should be awesome, though.- 2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:17 PM) Really? You the person who was here about the Spoelstra no call on Westbrook's shot, now is all of a sudden the "Ive never said a word about the refs guy" Dear Mr Kettle, Id like to introduce you to Mr. Pott I even said I thought the refs were fine but Spo pissed me off on that play. It's over. We never have to hear about 27 year old LBJ not winning a Championship again.- 2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:13 PM) Right you mentioned reffing and I responded that its game 2 people likely have an issue with, not game 3 or game 4. Responding to a post is not complaining. Look at the post: I think most people are just disappointed with game 2 and how it was reffed as it was a home game for OKC, the last 2 games were @ Miami, you expect the benefit to be given to them. Notice how I dont even give my opinion. I just say "I think most people are", its merely stating what my opinion on the subject is. In comparison complaining would be: The refs stole this series, if it wasnt for the bulls*** no calls in game 2 the thunder would be winning. See difference. Notice how I also have said that this series isnt over and that OKC can still win, which is the exact opposite of fixating or blaming the refs. Christ in a dump truck.- 2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:02 PM) Im not sure this series is over though. Not team in NBA history has come back from down 3-1 since the 2-3-2 format was implemented. It's over. The most talented player in NBA history is getting his first championship. At the same age Jordan did, by the way.- 2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:03 PM) Where am I not over the refs? Maybe it was my comment that OKC was getting some calls? If you think the reffing in this series has been good, thats your call. I personally think its been terrible for both sides. In the exact post I quoted you complained about Game 2. You can't lawyer your way out of this one, Brian!- 2011-2012 NBA Season Thread
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:56 PM) I think most people are just disappointed with game 2 and how it was reffed as it was a home game for OKC, the last 2 games were @ Miami, you expect the benefit to be given to them. Then most people need to get over it. They had a tie game tonight and James left the game... Mostly. They played stupid. They were also up 33-16 and went into halftime only up three. Get over the refs. This is on the Thunder. - Youkilis, $5.6 million traded to White Sox
