  1. Also, Zoom has been absolutely correct. The Thunder have s*** for depth. They have also become a truly dumb team. That is on Brooks.
  2. Everyone needs to calm down about the refs. The Thunder blew that game and James Harden needs to change his name to James Choken. He should stare more people down as he tries his damndest to avoid wde open jumpers. Good for LBJ, he's on one leg and the Thunder were STILL terrified to take it to him. Thunder are learning the hard way that titles are tough. They need to grow up. LBJ sure did.
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 08:29 PM) Spoelstra's line up here is a real risk, OKC could blow this lead open. Or it was brilliant to get Cole out there. Go figure!
  4. Everytime I see the thread title, I think of Manny Puig. This is a good thing.

  6. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 12:47 PM) It appears Edwin Ubiles, last years D-league rookie of the year, may join the Bulls Summer league team. He was also All NBA D-League First team....How many guys like this, who are real good in the D-League, make it to the nba and are productive?? He's a 6'6" SG/SF. CJ Watson was a D-Leaguer.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:24 AM) The short answer is nobody was hitting 50, 60, 73 homers a year in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's. Ok--George Foster and Cecil Fielder, but you know what I mean. But yeah, we don't know if Rickey Henderson or Paul Molitor juiced at the end of their careers. It's certainly possible. It was institutional cheating. If Mantle and Mays played in the late 90's, they probably would have done it too. I think it's insane to punish players for roiding, when roids saved the game. MLB had to know pipsqueak Sosa turning into a monster and hitting 66 bombs while Big Mac was jacking 70 was due to steroids. They f***ing loved it and the attention it brought the game.
  8. QUOTE (SnB @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 07:40 PM) I received a letter from Lombard saying that First Energy Solutions is going to take over my electric bill from ComEd unless I opt out. Has anyone dealt w/ any of these new electric companies since the deregulation? Any issues? Sh*t, I think I threw that out without opening it assuming it was another solicitation for a switch.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 06:11 PM) It was a joke, the guy changed his name so people would forget how crappy he was. He would have jumped straight to the NBA if he couldve, he came from a trailer park basically. Waste of a recruit, you too kosta koufos Yeah. Mullens actually took a step this year, but he's a SG in a big, clumsy, slow center's body - not a good thing.
  10. Zach Stewart continues to be worse than worthless.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 04:47 PM) Thats Byron Mullens No s***. But we were talking about guys when they were in high school.
  12. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 04:16 PM) IMO Barnes will be better than Deng for the rest of his career... I remember when he first came into UNC he was being hyped as a Lebron type prospect. Let's acquire BJ Mullens, then.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 04:03 PM) Did he actually have a deal about done with someone? I got the impression that it could be a standard July deal for him. If that's the case, this woulnd't be a bad thing, give him some extra rest before he's traded. There was a lot of hubbub that he would be gone by Thursday. A lot.
  14. But seriously, how do you throw a strike to Cats McShaggin? His OBP would be through the roof.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 04:04 PM) How dare you use my gif on me. I claim all Soxtalk rights to annoyed Ed Norton!
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 02:34 PM) The Sox have been offering a groupon today for patio parties for about 8 games. Reasonably priced There are zero sold so far. Considering what kind of crap people buy on groupon, that's quite a feat. There is something very bad going on with White Sox perception. Yours is clearly not working as it says "over 450 bought, limited remaining" when I click the link. Clear your cache.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 10:48 AM) Ventura has used his bench WAY less than Guillen ever did. This. I think we had the same lineup for 8/9 games in that streak.
  18. Also an upgrade from Brent Morel. Cats McShaggin
  19. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 03:23 PM) Jury has reached a verdict. Not sure when the announcement is expected. Not guilty on all charges. The government can't get that money back.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 01:24 PM) Not based on how little this one grossed? DVD, Bluray, and digital downloads will have this film making bank for a decade to come. Adam Sandler movies make money.
  21. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 07:33 AM) I got the mlb.tv package. My laptop is HDMI compatible but I don't have an extra cable, so I either need to buy one or switch the one I have back and forth between my cable box and my laptop. HDMI cables are like $2 on Amazon. Same quality as the 50-60 dollar ripoffs at Best Buy.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 12:25 PM) You wanted the Sox to trade Viciedo. Why did they sign him in the first place? I don't think Dunn and Rios performances will match their salaries moving forward, just like you don't think or at least didn't think Viciedo was a good as advertised and wanted to max his trade value. I believe there is a good chance the Sox will be "stuck" with Dunn and Rios in the future, and will not waver with if someone will take their money, let them have them. Mine isn't so much trade value. Its being obligated to pay tens of millions of dollars to guys that aren't going to be worth tens of millions of dollars. Right now, they are earning their checks, but they haven't the majority of their Whtie Sox careers. The point is most likely mute. I really, really doubt anyone is asking about them, and I really doubt KW is throwing their names out there. moot

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 11:36 AM) One has to wonder how much the garbage that Sandler's put out for most of the last 2-3 years has finally caught up with him? Most aren't blaming Tom Cruise for the failure that is Rock Of Ages, but Sandler's deserving a lot of the blame for the complacency that set in with his production company. 13-18 year olds still love all the garbage that Sandler dumps out (for the most part). That following alone will keep the wheels turning.
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 12:15 PM) There are a lot of dollars owed to Dunn, that and the memory of 2011. Maybe you considered his contract a steal, I would say the majority would have thought at the very least a slight overpay. We know how bad he can be. Again, if I was convinced he would hit like he's hit this year for the rest of the season and the next 2, he wouldn't be touchable except for an overpay. I don't think that. Its my opinion. You are entitled to it, of course. Looking at Dunn's career over 13 MLB seasons, 2011 is the outlier, not his start to 2012. I just don't see how anyone could talk of dumping him, no matter how shrewd a move it has the slight possibility of being.
  25. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 11:59 AM) Is this getting any traction? Or are most outlets ignoring it? It's being ignored. 670 briefly mentioned it jokingly.
