QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 03:06 AM) Am I the only one that watched the Heat/Knicks game and thought "The Bulls could beat both these teams"??? I watched it and wondered what the hell happened to Carmelo Anthony. He doesn't look anything like the premiere talent he is; his head is all messed up. I watched it and thought, wow, would I trade Deng straight up for Carmelo Anthony given team makeup? The answer wasn't as easy as I once thought it was. I watched it and realized how my hatred of LeBron James is 100% justifiable. I watched LeBron hit a ridiculous, fadeaway shot one step inside the 3-point line (brilliant, by the way, that's just the worst shot in basketball) and hop backwards down the court with a s***-eating grin and nodding his head like he'd just done something amazing. I watched that game and started to really want LeBron James to die. I watched the game and realized the book is already out on Jeremy Lin and his stay as a factor in the NBA is going to be a really short one if he doesn't truly focus on protecting the ball; some of those turnovers you just don't see in the NBA... and he did it multiple times in the same quarter. I watched that game and felt suffocated by the defense the Heat were playing. Two guys running to the ball at all times. I watched the game, and I got even more worried.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 09:01 PM) Lin has more turnovers on the year than rose That is a monster statistic.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 07:48 PM) I assume you mean Carlos Gonzalez in your keepers, right Steve? Yeah.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) There's this thing called guarding your man. And Lin didn't do that at all. There is SOME human element to the game, right? I mean, Lin was riding pine two weeks ago and now he's in a playoff atmosphere against the best team in the NBA showing full court press on him while Carmelo stands around staring at him. The Knicks veterans need to step up and help out, because Lin is being exposed and certainly needed time to adjust. Look for a big 2nd half from Lin and Melo.
-
The Heat play such insane defense. Oh, and Lin is being exposed badly.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 02:12 PM) Rose was a beast in the 4th quarter, that got the bulls back to nearly tied, but the last 3-4 minutes they put LBJ on him, and that's what did it. Lebron was on the bench to start the 4th when the Bulls made their run. I mean, come on, he's a dude who is as fast as Rose but 6 inches taller and probably has at least 50 pounds on Rose. That makes s*** rough.

So, because of discussion and my love of the series, I picked up the Star Wars bluray set. Wow, does it look and sound incredible. My belief that Episode 1 is absolutely underrated was only confirmed moreover. That movie rocks. However. Man, Episode 2 is even worse than I remembered. How they managed to have the CGI look less realistic than in Episode 1, I have no idea. That movie is terrible. There are a few scenes that are worthwhile, but it's mostly horrible romance and horrible CGI wrapped with some familiar character names. Awful. I am excited to get into Episode 3, because that's obviously one big Star Wars masturbatory emission. Maybe tonight after Knicks/Heat.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) I saw today that Montador could be done for the year. That's a blessing not even trying to disguise itself.

This absolutely would get one wondering if he blacked out or if this had anything to do with his concussion.

Derrick Rose denied rumors that he requested the Bulls make a play to trade for Pau Gasol. "It was all false and that's something I'll never do," Rose said. "I'm good with teammates that I have." God, I love this kid.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 11:27 AM) Stop it with your "Stop it"s. You dont want to hear anything that in any way disagrees with how you see the NBA unfolding. You said the Heat would win last year, Dallas had no shot, a 1 superstar team will never win, knicks will be the 2nd best in the east. You also just in the past two weeks opined on how nobody can stop the heat, and then how nobody can stop the Thunder. So if these two unmovable forces(per J4L) meet in a game, who shall win? I dont think either will. Stop it STOP IT! http://www.nba.com/bulls/stacey-king-soundboard.html

I threw this together for s***s and giggles. I'll probably use it.

That's just badass. I was thinking of making my own cover this year, but that pic of Bautista rocks. Oh, and sad face.

QUOTE (KG#1 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 09:07 AM) Yesterday, for my birthday, my wife bought me a PS3. So I'm finally up with the times! I literally cannot wait for The Show to be released Tuesday . . . I have never been one to do this, but I think I'm taking the day off either Tuesday or Wednesday to just sit and play that game. All day. I don't think it gets released until 3/6, so don't go taking this coming Tuesday off!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 10:00 AM) Here's my biggest problem right now. 5 games in a row, between the Bulls and heat, it's come down to the final minute or two, and 5 games in a row the Heat have taken care of business...and it's mostly been the same way, cranking up the defense and saying "You're done scoring" while they put together a couple buckets, sometimes on miracle shots, themselves. 5 games in a row is starting to convince me that this formula will simply work on the Bulls too often. Keep the game close, beat up Rose some, and when it gets to the last 5 minutes, put Lebron on Rose and say that's it. Yeah, it's 5 games in a row where LBJ shuts down Rose and no one else steps up. I drunkenly waved the white flag after that first matchup this season, because it was a nightmare re-lived. We didn't have Deng though, and lost on the road, so who the f*** knows, I guess. The fan in me believes the Bulls can pull it off, but the realist doesn't really expect the Bulls to ever get to full health, while LeBron is a f***ing tank who cannot be injured.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 09:39 AM) lol You guys are never gonna let J4L live that down. The NBA thread is unforgiving. I still get s*** for the Decision 1.5 years later.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 09:31 AM) Bring up the Knicks all you want. I'm a big boy. I can take the heat (no pun intended). What does this have to do with Chicago/Miami? The records are basically identical. But the numbers say the Heat have been more impressive against a tougher schedule. We don't have to get into the talent/athleticism gap. We could insert overall health and the fact that the NBA's best home team (Bulls) over the last two years has played 2/3 of their schedule on the road.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 04:55 PM) Sadly if he gets a career threatening problem from it, the Hawks future for years to come is in dire straits. Yeah, my first thought was Crosby.
