QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 10:37 AM) Part of Lebron's post game problem comes from the Heat's lack of C who can really hit a jump shot. As soon as Lebron gets below the free throw line its almost an immediate double team from the big who isnt guarding Bosh. Yeah, I mean, Jordan's dominant post game only developed because of the light's out jump shooting he received on the court from Cartwright, Wennington, and Longley.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 09:10 AM) We've got the Bears in the midst of hiring a new GM, which is a huge decision, and look where the discussion in this thread has been this week. Well, let's be honest. The Bears are bumbling that and you can only b**** and moan about nothing happening before you stop talking about nothing happening. -
What a lame cover.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 08:25 PM) I'm looking to get a new phone. I'm kind of torn between the Galaxy S II and the Sensation 4G (Sensation already has ICS). The only thing that's stopping me from already deciding is the fact that the Sensation has an S-LCD screen, not an S-AMOLED. So for any of you that have had phones with both types of screens, is there a big difference? I know the AMOLED is far better with contrast and viewing angles and the S-LCD is slightly better in sunlight. But from daily use, do you notice anything that stands out? The AMOLED is about 100x better looking. EDIT: and that's coming from a guy who doesn't have one, but has friends with them.

That's it, I'm officially done with Carlos Boozer and done making excuses for him. The Bulls had no Rose last night, so you would think he could step up. In 25 minutes against the travesty of defense that is the Washington Wizards (who also give ZERO effort toward rebounding) he puts up 4 points and 6 boards on 7 shots. What a waste. Amnesty him the next chance you get.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 08:59 AM) And now Chris Paul. I was talking about youngsters in their first (playable) years in the NBA. CP3 obviously already had a defined game.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 08:41 AM) Gosh...it might be nice if there was a person who's job it was to teach players not to do things like that and to craft an offense that put them in positions where they were more likely to be effective. One could even call it a "Coach". It blows my mind that VDN has been put in charge of molding first Derrick Rose in his first two years and now Blake Griffin. It's insane.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 08:40 AM) He's averaging five and a half shots per game from 16-23 feet and is shooting just 33% on those jumpers. Comparatively, he's shooting 75% at the rim (on seven attempts per game) and 49% from 3-9 feet. The issue is he has zero post game (like most big men these days). Those 75% are open dunks and/or alley oops. The 3-9 are when space has already been created.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 08:25 AM) Actually, that is a record for the Bulls though...fewest points given up through 4 home games. Memphis (Z-Bo injured early) Atlanta (3rd of 3 b2b, awful game) Detroit Washington Yup, sounds about right.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 08:33 PM) Lucas is so bad. Dude almost has a triple double, but yeah... The Wizards are a f***ing joke.

D-Rose in walking boot, so apparently this is way more significant than the turf toe he got two years ago.

Oh My F*ck.

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 03:27 PM) Getting rid of Martz and Angelo was a great start but Lovie should have been fired as well. Lovie doesn't really deserve to be fired, though. However, the incoming General Manager should be allowed to evaluate, and I'm sure could even have the recommendation made that Lovie not be canned. Instead, the Bears make it a point to publicly state that Lovie is going nowhere, and then promote Tice to OC, and make countless other moves before hiring the most important person in building a winning team. It's so bass ackwards. -

Dear Lord, the Bears just seem so clueless. Two teams have already hired guys, and the Bears haven't even begun interviewing. Also, whomever they hire basically answers to the head coach. F*cking awesome for that guy! -
I would like to thank the NBA scheduling Gods for giving us the Washington Wizards as the final team of this back-to-back-to-back. They are f***ing horrendous. And yes, I realize this post means they will win by 40 tonight.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 12:58 PM) Derrick Rose re-aggrivated Turf Toe injury last night. It should just be called "Derrick Rose forever has turf toe". It's never going away, it'll just get worse at certain points. He's a beast, and I'm sure they'll just inject the area prior to tipoff as they did throughout the entire postseason last year.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) "The Clips can't contend with Vinny Del Negro. He's a strategic abomination. It's unbelievable. Maybe the worst game coach I have ever seen." tweet from Bill Simmons a few minutes ago I'm still completely shocked that he got another job. VDN was abysmal... one of the worst and most confounding and frustrating coach hirings in Chicago sports history. EDIT: And yes, I said that the moment they hired him.

Carlos Boozer has been better on defense this year, there's no question about that, and his field goal percentage is in line from last year. He's simply playing less, which makes his ppg much lower. He's averaging 6 fewer minutes and 4 fewer shots than he did in Utah when he put up 21.1 ppg. I presume this is all planned to keep him healthy, and obviously to keep him off the floor in close 4th quarters when his offense doesn't outweigh his defense. If he were averaging the minutes he got in Utah, he'd be very close to 20 ppg. However, I'm not advocating those minutes. The Bulls' rotation is a huge reason we have an upper hand in this shortened season.

The T'Wolves definitely have a few keepers amidst all those random puzzle pieces.

It's as if D-Rose was taking requests today!! Threeeeeeeeeeeeee....

Adelman needs to get Ridnour back out there!
