QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) I dont know if any of you have seen commercials for the new "found footage" movie Chronicle, but I think this might be a sleeper. 3 teenagers acquire superpowers and start to videotape themselves learning how to deal with the power, and one of them goes pretty bad. Thanks for the head's up... definitely has some promise. I really, really, really want to see 'Contraband' due to my rather ridiculous enjoyment of anything Mark Wahlberg... and Giavanni Ribisi is always fun. Sadly, I can't seem to talk the wife into it.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:58 AM) Certainly it is baffling to any human, I was just imagining being a Thunder fan, rooting/watching every single night. Having to deal with the constant frustration that comes with Westbrook's play and the shear amazing-ness of Durant, then seeing this list and possibly fracturing ribs from laughing so hard. I agree completely.

In my continuing efforts to make peace with Felix, whose posts I am enjoying more and more, I ranked K-Love as #10. It gets spotty around there anyway. I do believe K-Love is an elite 2nd man on a championship team.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:48 AM) I just don't even have the words to describe how stupid that is. Imagine as a Thunder fan, you gotta just be like : : As a living, breathing human you gotta just be like : : That is so stupid. Also, I don't care what he does in the playoffs, LBJ is #1. 1. LBJ 2. D-Rose 3. KD 4. Kobe 5. Dirk 6. CP3 7. Wade 8. Dwight 9. Melo 10. K-Love Obviously, there's room for interpretation, but Bucher having Westbrook in his top 7 and not ranking KD is moronic. However, doing so means he'll get lots of replies and hits, so victory to him, I guess.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:28 AM) Wait...what the f***? He has Westbrook in his top 7 players in the league but not Durant? He'sa f***ing idiot.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:18 AM) You know how you fix that right up right? Fry it in butter and sugar. It will be just great dontchaknow? I heard that rumor.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:01 AM) I liked it, but I didn't find it anywhere near good enough to see twice in theaters. To each his own, slick. The last movie I saw multiple times in the theater was "The Dark Knight".

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 09:40 AM) I am in the middle of a great book called Columbine by Dave Cullen. I have gotten about 150 pages down in about three train rides. The book is amazing and really dispels a lot of the things that were reported and now ingrained about what actually went down there. I read that book a couple of years ago, it's quite good.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:03 AM) It is very telling with that team when Bill Walker is considered by ESPN to be the knicks mvp of the game. No disrespect to Walker, but that team has Melo and Amare. No disrespect to this post, but Carmelo Anthony only played 19 minutes and is hobbled by two rather serious injuries right now.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 09:50 AM) I am taking great pleasure in the total mediocrity of the New York Knicks HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT THEY ADDED THE GREAT TYSON CHANDLER THEY ARE AS GOOD AS THE BULLS

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 09:19 AM) Parks & F'n Recreation Best comedy on television and it isn't close.

Somehow I didn't see "Moneyball" in the theater. Obviously I read the book whenever it came out, and I love baseball, and I like most of the cast (Chris Pratt LOLZ). Anyway, rented it on BluRay for tonight. Pretty stoked.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 8, 2012 -> 11:09 AM) Seriously? I saw it last night, actually...and while I thought it was very good, I thought it was almost the exact same movie as the Swedish version, with the exception of the ending. I guess they did make her a bit more frightening, but the people in my showing were actually outwardly cheering her on during the movie...they didn't seem "scared" of her at all... I find the gratuitous nudity a bit odd as well...(not that I am complaining). Rooney Mara did do a wonderful job, but I thought Noomi Rapace did an awesome job, and didn't have the advantage of watching someone else play the role first and then copying and adding to it... Have you read the books? I find it oddly surprising that you'd seem it strange that people would cheer on Lizbeth Salander. She's a pretty badass character and only gets cooler throughout the series. As for the gratuitous nudity... again, what did you expect? I mean, Fincher wanted to tell the story accurately, and a ton of the "Girl" franchise revolves around lust, sex, and yes rape. Expecting anything else surprises me. I want to see it again in the theater, and will. Hell, the intro with the remix of the "Immigrant Song" is worth the $10 alone.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 05:30 AM) There's a few of us on here who are fans of the show. That there are! That show cracks me up.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 09:08 AM) In what world is Dirk not thought of as a big man? The guy is 7 foot tall and has made a living in the post; even if it's an extended post. It's just his game. Sure, he's a big man, but he makes his living in the post and his first many years beyond the 3 point line. It's an obvious misconception, but an understandable one.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 01:16 AM) I think after Horford's injury today, I'd be pretty confident in saying the Magic are the 3rd best team in the East right now. Could they beat the Bulls or Heat in a playoff series as currently constructed? Probably not You mean "absof*ckinlutleynoway".

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 12:44 AM) Part of me regrets not watching Orlando/Golden State tonight, until I realize that I would have had to watch Dwight Howard shoot 39 free throws. Jesus christ... That is a punishment I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

I (and my fantasy team) find it comical that the once heralded BJ Mullens is in fact making quite an impact in Charlotte.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 03:44 PM) Kane gets in there every year simply to have a "name" player that people that don't follow hockey recognize. Yes, it has nothing to do with having the 6th most points amongst Western Conference wingers, and 10th most points amongst Western Conference players. Sure, you need 8 wingers and 12 forwards to fill out a normal roster, but it's only because idiots know who Patrick Kane is... Good call. Methinks Chicagoland is becoming hockey spoiled.

Happy Trails, Al Horford... Al Horford (pectoral) is expected to be out 3-4 months, a source tells Yahoo's Marc Spears. Horford tore his left pectoral muscle in Wednesday night's loss to the Pacers. Considering the timetable, he'll likely need surgery and be done for the year.
