    QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 01:58 PM) No, it didn't. Jesse clearly shot Gale. People just couldn't believe it unless they saw it. Gilligan even said that he shot him when the rumors came up. For the 99% of viewers who don't read every interview about the show, it was left as a serious cliffhanger... even just not knowing what would happen to Walt regardless.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 10:07 AM) Given all the hype, an 8.5 from IGN has to be rather disappointing for "RAGE". I rented it anyway. Wow, Blockbuster, thanks for the super-competitive pricing. $7.49/month unlimited games/movies 1 at a time (an introductory rate). I'll beat this, then just pick up other crap.

    QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 12:59 PM) I'm not sure about the cliffhanger, as they don't seem to go that route on Breaking Bad. And I'm glad for that. But I don't disagree with the ending you theorize. Season 3 had a pretty massive cliffhanger.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 12:39 PM) Well I'm stumped. darkened and circled

    QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 12:07 PM) The superlab would die, yes. But it might not prevent Walt from continuing to cook on his own. And since all of the major distributors in the area are gone in that situation, it could allow for Walt to become...wait for it...the Scarface character that Vince Gilligan said that he wanted to turn Walt into. In that situation, Mike and his men can be his enforcers. I doubt he would have any lingering loyalty to Gus after he's dead, not after seeing Gus kill the other employee and understanding that Mike is in this for the money. And then the final season would revolve around Hank and Walt. After all, with Gus and Jesse out of the way, Walt is the only guy left on Earth that can cook the blue stuff. This entire scenario would be awesome.

    QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 12:11 PM) Explain. Does it really need explanation? Call Comcast. Say "I heard you are doing a promotion for pay channels for 3 month trials". They say "yes", you say "I want them all".
  7. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 11:10 AM) Perhaps we have different definitions of minute. The scratches won't look like they were made by a knife, but there will be tons of them. I've played plenty of DVDs with minor-looking scratches like that (borrowed ones, not sure how people let that happen) that worked without a problem. Tons of scratches does not = minute, in my brain. If what constitutes as "minute" for you is anything that looks like it hasn't had an ax taken to it, then yeah, we have different definitions!

    QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 11:25 AM) I think Hank will be involved in bringing it down at the end though. I can only hope the poor f*** gets some credit. It seems, if Walt is fingered, that Hank's career will go to s*** as well letting that happen right under his nose.
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 10:43 AM) The DVD player is very new. I seriously doubt that it's the problem. minute scratches + dvd no working = hardware

  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 2, 2011 -> 12:57 AM) I'm anxiously waiting for NBA 2K12 to release this Tuesday. I'd be getting it today if not for the whole lockout thing. I can't get the game with the lockout looming, it will just piss me off.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 08:41 AM) It is a pretty amazing thing when you think of it. I know they didn't win it last year, but they were still super competitive after dumping a lot of very good players. I think the fight back from down 0-3 last year to take the 'Nucks to 7 games has clouded your memory. The Hawks were 1 point from being the first team in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup and then miss the playoffs. They even choked a near-must win on the final day of the season but backed in anyway. I'm ready for a new season, and hopefully, a healthy Hossa!
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 07:49 AM) According to ESPN, Verlander threw 15 pitches yesterday clocked at 99.5 or above (i.e. rounding to 100+) He good.
  14. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 08:16 AM) Maybe he can sell hot dogs on the 500 level-the only experience he has. He'll sell shoes with giardiniera on them.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 3, 2011 -> 06:29 PM) REALLY getting tired of Netflix recently. It seems that every other DVD I get is scratched so minutely that it hardly even shows, but prevents the movie from playing. The worst part is that it always happens closer to the end of the movie, so I have to wait an extra couple of days just to finish it and further delay my next DVD. Is Blockbuster any better? I'm completely serious about changing this. I can't even stand it anymore. Milk, this sounds much more like a hardware issue than a data issue. Your DVD player might be taking a s***, because it should be able to handle light scratches as described above.

    I watched Breaking Bad last night. It was definitely solid... the continual wait for s*** to go down is really, really building the suspense. I'm hoping Gus left to go back because he realized something was off with Jessie, vs having some sort of Spidey-Sense about Walt being ready to toast him in his car. I'd like to say, one more time, for those of you who have Showtime or have Comcast (Comcast is currently offering 3 free months on all movie channels if you call in and speak to a rep), you really have to watch 'Homeland'. It was like a slightly slower, slightly more realistic '24', and the scenes for the season look epic.

    Wow, Homeland on Showtime is fantastic. There are no words.
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 3, 2011 -> 04:14 PM) Thats because its: Buehrle Peavy Sale Humber Axelrod/Stewart I'd be so happy if the Sox moved Danks/Floyd.

  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 3, 2011 -> 03:36 PM) Time for this to get bumped. So I'm doing a spring break trip this year and I'm trying to get myself to exactly where I want to be before that. As I've said in this thread, I've lost a ton of weight with in the last year and a half but despite everything I still got a little too much fat in the belly area that's covering up the abs. I obviously have a good amount of time to fix this problem but figured I'd see if any of you guys have a good work out plan to get rid of the last bit of body fat. Diet wont be a problem. No booze. Run. Ab Ripper X.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 3, 2011 -> 02:51 PM) aka Chicago Sun Times writer. I hold you to higher standards than I do those bozos.
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 3, 2011 -> 02:16 PM) Oh, who knows. Everything I hear is actual information whether it happens or not. That's a good spot to be in... "it's right, even if it's wrong!"
