  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 05:54 PM) I guess one of the real gm people said the Bulls offered Taj and Deng for Iguodala? Take it FWIW, I don't even read those boards and only heard of that through a friend. Was this rejected? That's exactly the move I wanted...
  2. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 05:02 PM) don't know if this was reported but kyle korver to the bulls....3 yr 15 million This is a really nice move.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) I wonder if Melo would be the type of guy who would work out well with a coach like Thibs... I'm really hoping the Bulls are out there offering any scenario for guys like Melo or even AI2. Why the f*** not? If any of the, kill me, Miami Thrice go down, the East is in play big time.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 04:07 PM) The worst example I ever saw of this was the Bulls with Gordon. Gordon isn't good at creating his own shot, but VDN and others insisted that was their only option; he had to go 1 on however-many-defended-him. Vinny "play calling" BG was the worst ending to games of all-time, and I swear it happened like 15 times.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 04:03 PM) Ah I see. Stories about the olden days provided by our elders... I've been Melo's main cheer-leader for like 5 seasons. He is so underrated. (or was before this year)
  6. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 03:41 PM) It helps that after he bricks it Gasol and Artest are there to put it back in. Well, I think J4L was talking pre missing a finger/worst game 7 imaginable Kobe.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 03:30 PM) I don't give a damn about advanced statistics in this case. If there's 10 seconds left in the game and I need a basket to win, I'm givin' the rock to Kobe 10 times outta 10 over Lebron. Anybody who says otherwise needs to quit watching basketball and take up Lacrosse as a hobby or something. This.

QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:00 PM) As soon as the movie started and it was the same type of music from the original Predator I was so pumped up.. The original is the absolute s***.
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) @WojYahooNBA - Tyrus Thomas has reached agreement on 5-year, $40 million contract to stay with Charlotte, league sources say. They must have matched, or he got it wrong originally. Either way, bad bad bad bad bad contract.
  10. I think I'm done with the NBA. Seriously. The same mistakes get made over and over... blatantly obvious mistakes, such as giving Tyrus Thomas $40 million to be the least efficient player on the court. Then there's the whole issue with managing your franchise into the ground in the hopes of doing what the Heat did that will become the norm more and more. Seriously. The best team next year will be so because they got themselves to 3 players under contract headed into this offseason. Unreal. At least the Celts traded for their monster roster.
  11. Wow, New Jersey Nets just offered TYRUS f***ING THOMAS 5/40 ($8 million per) in an offer sheet. The Russian Billionaire strikes foolishly.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 11:45 AM) From TSN's Bob McKenzie I'd be happy to sign him to that contract, I think he's worth $3.5 mil, especially with how well him & Campbell play together. Suck it San Jose. Jesus. You have to match that.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 10:23 AM) I don't think people really understand the gravity of what's about to take place. That's because we've really never seen anything like this. Three players of this caliber in their primes on the same team. So it's easy to be like "they don't have enough roleplayers." The typical rules of how to construct a championship team change dramatically when your THIRD best player is Chris Bosh. Yeah, they'll need a shooter, which they apparently already have gotten, and a big who can defend and pull down some rebounds (think Kendrick Perkins). But that's really it. It's really that simple. They are going to skull-f*** the NBA. I pray 72-10 can hold strong.
  14. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:43 AM) Okay, so it looks like JRich has one year left on his deal at $14.4 million. Trading for him, unless we are unloading Deng in the process would severely limit our flexibility this off season. Damn, SoxFan1 beat me to it. Phoenix hearts Deng.
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:32 AM) Whats with all the Iguodala talk? Is he on the block that I'm not aware of? I thought the 76ers were putting him at SF. I think you could go get his ass right now given their glut of contracts and bad performance.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:21 PM) Ok, he needs to shut up too. This is going to be such an easy league to not care about. It's really pointed out how much of a joke it is to follow the NBA. It's all fun and games until Jordan retires and you're left in NBA hell for the next 12 years with no way out. Think about franchises like Minnesota, Milwaukee, Golden State, Cleveland, who will never stand a chance of winning unless they get three #1 picks in three consecutive years and happen to get lucky and win one before the first #1 overall leaves after year 5. The league died last night, and the knife is pushed a little deeper with the Miller and Shaq news.
  17. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:19 PM) Bosh just went on ESPN and compared his time in Toronto as being like a caged wolf watching others eating meat. He's clearly a giant dick. Wow. That's horrible.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:10 PM) Bosh is a total piece of s***. I've said a few times how hated he is by people at Ga Tech who dealt with him. He's always been so worried about his perception. Too bad LeBron wasn't.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 10:56 PM) don't get suckered, he says what the media wants to hear. He's a real douchebag. I like Bosh... he's done NOTHING wrong. Hell, really, no one did. They just didn't look out for the good of the NBA. Miami blows as far as a sports town, but they hired Pat Riley and he's an evil genius. Give them props because they snookered LeBron into going to Wade-County. LeBron will win a couple championships, but it won't really matter. Crazy.
  20. Wow. It still is just crazy. Riley will build around the threesome, don't you all worry. Diesel for the minimum, Beasley shipped off for a pick. They'll build well around the best 3 players to wear one jersey at one time. You thought Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen was good? Have we ever SEEN LeBron James without a double team? What about Chris Bosh? We all know what Wade can do when other guys need to be guarded. This team is going to flat out dominate. The landscape has changed. All this time we thought that LeBron cared about being "The Air Apparent"... hell, the Bulls built their whole marketing campaign around that (and that's where they lost him)... it's not about legacy. LeBron couldn't care less about that. This is about parties, parades, the ESPN Hype machine, etc, etc. His team of buddies was a terrible idea. They liked the idea of South Beach, and Pat Riley, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh talked LeBron into becoming the biggest villain in the NBA. Suddenly, Kobe seems worlds better... probably already was. We're about to witness something completely unique to the NBA... a team hated by everyone... A team that has two superstars and another team's best player, three of the more popular players in the game, and no one cares... we're rooting against them. LeBron just earned boo's in his hometown. His jersey is being burned in the street. This threesome will be booed wherever they go. And if they somehow miraculously don't win the NBA championship, they'll be the biggest laughingstock of all-time.
  21. STEIN_LINE_HQ Wolves-Heat deal, sources say, calls for 'Sota to absorb Beasley into cap space and send its 2011 second-round pick to Miami to seal deal Wolves just got a steal. Former 2 overall never given a chance to really get going in Miami.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 10:43 PM) All things said, I love how this is blowing up in LeBron's face. Tons of articles in the media bashing him already. Yeah, that's really going to hamper the party on South Beach and the mad p**** and cash he's rolling in...
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 10:42 PM) wow, not only did he lose his franchise tonight, but he lost his dignity Yeah. And good luck with the whole guaranteed championship thing.
  24. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) You guys gotta read this. Dan Gilbert is pissed. http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/gilbert_letter_100708.html THATS CRAZY
  25. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 10:08 PM) Richardson would be the best fit of those 3 Damn you snagged it before my edit. Andre Iguodala anyone?
