QUOTE (T R U @ Aug 13, 2010 -> 02:27 AM) For those of you who have seen The Other Guys, are there any real inappropriate parts in it? Like lets say someone 13-15 years old was to go see it with their family, would there be anything pretty questionable in the movie for a person of that age? I don't care about language, I doubt that's big in it.. but other things.. You're aware it's rated PG-13, right? It's fine.

Taking the wife to see "Eat, Pray, Love", tonight. Hoping to eat up a solid dinner beforehand, praying that the movie is ok, and gonna get some sweet lovin' out of this.

So I have a question. For a dollar I can make one player healthy for the rest of my franchise season. This begs the question, did Madden make it so more players get injured in games, just so we minions spend our money to make them healthy? I don't like this idea of charging for such things, because they could have done anything to the algorithms to alter the frequency of such events just to extort money from users who already dropped 60 bucks on their video game. I think we have an ethical dilemma here.

Teahan rehab could be great for the sox

You can't tell me that swapping in Teahen for Kotsay at DH, and batting him 9th wouldn't be a huge upgrade for this roster. -
Castro seems like a no-brainer here... what the french, toast?

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 02:49 PM) Disappointed in "Brooklyn's Finest" I thought it was decent.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 11:33 AM) I still don't understand how AJ has regressed so much. It really seemed like he was figuring the game out last year, just calmly taking what the pitcher gave. Now we just see one long, hard swing after another. Him and Jones are about as close to guaranteed, unproductive outs as it gets. He's 33 going on 34. It actually makes a lot of sense.

QUOTE (The Baconator @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 10:53 AM) Daniel Hudson is 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA with AZ. Why are we so happy to ignore the supreme amount of ass that Edwin Jackson has dominated, and so quick to forget how ineffective Hudson was in his pre-deadline "try out" with us?

I haven't seen it, but I presume we can just go ahead and submit most of the film "The Human Centipede".

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 10:09 AM) Oh s***, how about the leg breaking scene in Misery. Yes.

It's a crappy way for him to go out, but it appears that Chipper tore his ACL. All this guy did was rack up 2,490 career hits with 493 doubles, 436 homers, for a whopping .941 OPS on the career while playing a whole lot of 3B and some OF (and even SS in a handful of games). He's a lock for the Hall of Fame. What a freak.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 09:39 AM) I can't figure out why no one else in the league seems interested in him either. At some point, I tend to start thinking that the groupthink probably has a reason to back it up. I always liked the guy, he's a productive player.

I do not understand why the Bears are not kicking the tires on our old friend Ogunleye. I am not comfortable with Anderson against the run. Someone please explain this to me, because I'm annoyed that we added Peppers, let AB and Adawale walk, and are supposed to believe the d-line will be better for this.

That was a fun game to watch.

It rubs the lotion on its skin... or else it gets the hose again.

Love me some Troy Murphy. Collison should rock in Indiana.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 11, 2010 -> 09:04 AM) IMO, if you need cheering up after losing a few games, I am proud of you that you just got into baseball this year. This is a sport of failure and the team is going to lose at least 60 games every year, its just part of a baseball season. We are still in this for the long run.

Freddy is what he is... when he's not getting the calls on the corners, he's in big time trouble. I know this might be due to listening to Hawk, but Freddy wasn't getting some of the calls Scott Baker was last night. That makes a big difference.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Aug 11, 2010 -> 11:24 AM) I enter into a contract with Steve whereby he will be my hoe and I will be his pimp. Pursuant to the contract Steve is to be paid $10 for each trick he turns. Steve turns 100 tricks in a 2 night crystal meth induced frenzy. When he wakes up 2 days later he asks me to be paid. I refuse to pay him. He sues me for breach of contract. I still can't believe I lost that case. Nothing but a bout of crabs and regret after that weekend.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Aug 11, 2010 -> 10:29 AM) Hopefully for Hudson something clicked after being traded and he can become a quality major league pitcher. What clicked was his going to the National League. Edwin Jackson is a more talented and better starting pitcher, and is better for this team going forward.
