QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 08:03 PM) Man at 3rd, 1 out. AJ up. Normal game? Double Play. But we're slump busting today. The run WILL score. Ouch, nevermind. She was in fact a he. No slump busted on that play. -
Jenny introduces Forrest to child, and then let's the cat out of the bag that this child, named Forrest, is in fact named for his father. Forrest gets choked up. Struggles to blurt out a few words, "is he... is he" and motions to his head. She then tells him how smart young Forrest is... Gets me everytime.

QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 05:00 PM) Might as well plank Joe Mauer. Dude gets on base like 9/10 times anyway. (well not THAT high of odds but you know what I mean) -
Go down on your ladyfriend, then spunkalunk all up inside her.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 12:38 PM) The tid bit I read about this stated that no deals are close to being made for him. Kenny should be all over the phones right now. Kotsay had a good game last night. Ozzie won't endorse a trade that supplants him.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 12:15 PM) I liked that movie when I saw it in the theatre then tried watching it again and couldn't sit through it. Good the first time but no rewatchability factor. Couldn't be stated any better.

GOTTA BUST THE SLUMP

I have to say, given the initial bad reaction Madden was getting, I wanted to come back in here and say how much I am loving it. I actually like having the coordinator audio on, while I call my own plays. It feels kinda realistic to have him chirping in my ear, so that's pretty cool. Plus, it really helps on defense. At first I thought I'd hate no turbo, but it actually has improved the game ten-fold. Instead of pumping the turbo, I'm looking for holes and making moves with my running back. They have greatly improved the blocking in all aspects of the game, so you can actually trust your blockers to throw a proper one leaving you in the clear. They finally figured out how to make WRs plant their feet, and they even did it properly so that every sideline throw does not equal an automatic grab. If the receiver is in position, he'll more than likely attempt a foot plant. The game feels way more realistic this year. I'm 3-3 as the Bears (although prior to the trade deadline I overhauled the offensive line with picks sent out for older guys... Cutler was getting creamed). I've had a couple of really close games, including a missed 48 yarder by Gould with no time left to tie against the surprisingly good Panthers, and blew out the Lions and snuck by the Packers. EA really got it right this year, so I wanted to come and post about it.

SOX @ Twinkies Danks (12-8 3.19) vs. Baker (10-9 4.76)

QUOTE (Real @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 08:22 AM) How many times will you let this team kick you in the balls before you realize they aren't solid enough to beat a good team beyond 7 innings Feel free to stop watching and posting about them at anytime. -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 07:06 AM) I for one saw something in those late innings that makes me think we've turned a corner against them. Aside from a gassed Thornton, the rest of the team didn't quit and even showed some balls by throwing at Hardy. I have a sneaking suspicion that we take these next two and rather easily. Having Jenks was also killing the Sox.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 10:28 PM) Good call Ozzie. It WAS a good call. What are the f***ing chances that Matt Thornton doesn't get Thome out. Lord, the overreaction is ridiculous. You swing as hard as you can at everything, you'll run into one. This has just been our luck lately.

He f***ing annihilated that ball.

I don't really get the whole playing Kotsay at all thing, but hitting him 6th is really, really bad. Add to that, Mr. Out Pierzynski is right behind him. No pitcher fears these guys.
