Most Heartwarming Movie Scenes

Featured Replies

My top one has probobaly gotta be in "The Rookie" when Jimmy Morris (Randy Quaid) gets called up to pitch in the major leagues, and it's in his home town on top of it. Being a true story even adds to a whole dimension to it. Another scene is when the kids walk in through thr tunnel, and it hits them as to how big a venue that "their coach" is going to pitch in.

Not exactly a movie, but the ESPN 30 for 30 about Hank Gathers, and the resulting scene with Bo Kimble shooting a lefty FT, always gets me.

If you dont cry at that moment, you have no heart.

I'll move away from sports...

When the old man in "Home Alone" gets to see and hug his granddaughter again toward the end.

In Million Dollar Baby when Clint Eastwood tells the girl what that Gaelic (I believe it was) saying meant.

Little Giants:

Chicken little flee flicker on go.

what's that?

A pitch to Johnny.

Pitch to Johnny, you can't pitch to Johnny, I'm Johnny!!

(gives ball to Johnny)

Now what?

Run to him. (points at Johnny's dad at the end of the field)

yes

When I first watched True Romance I was so happy to see them make it alive at the end and wind up living on a beach somewhere.

in Wall-E when he finally got to hold the girl robots hand

I get shivers every time I see this scene:

"You have bled with Wallace. Now bleed with me."

*sword toss*

*army charges*

"I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope."

Seriously, the final scenes in "Brokeback Mountain" are some of the most heartbreaking I've ever seen in any movie.

That was my first thought too. What a f***ing movie. Anytime its on TV, I'll stop what I'm doing and watch it to the end.

Just reading that gives me the chills, awesome movie.

"Well, there's only one thing left to do."

"What's that?"

"Win the whole.f***in.thing."

The scene from Love Actually where the guy reads Keira Knightley the signs he has prepared to tell her that he loves her, or the scene when the mother is crying because she finds that her husband cheated on her emotionally.

The scene in Rudy when the players go into the coach's office and offer to sit out so Rudy can play.

You guys are wusses.....

Um, the part in UP where he opens the photo album and sees the note his wife left about creating his own adventures.
