  1. It's finally happened. I never thought it would happen but it has. It is time to fire Ozzie. I think I've seen enough to know that Ozzie's obsession with the teams he was base coach for is a problem. I have no idea how I fell for the Juan Pierre idea, but I fell hard and I'm making all apologies right now. I can't imagine how he ever hit .300 without insane luck. The guy has absolutely no power so he can only hit it down the line, bunt himself on, or find a hole through miracle praises to the great Allah. Now that the intro is out of the way... I've resisted being negative. I've resisted giving up. However, we don't have a very good offense to begin with, but I don't think Ozzie really wants to be here. Let me give you a prime example. - Omar Vizquel hit 2nd for us tonight, and it won't be the last time he does so. He has also led off for us... an American League team lying to it's fanbase about wanting to "win". His OBP the last three seasons? .305, .283, .316. Put a gun in my mouth and pull the trigger until it goes click. - Andrew Jones hit 3rd for us tonight. I get it... fun story. Great story, maybe. However, this is the pudgy f***er who hit a whopping .214 last year, and that was a marked improvement from the season prior. His OPS is over 1.000 and I still want to find a sharp object and start slicing my arms to wind up on an MTV special. Guess what? Texas stunk last year and they didn't even start these two idiots. We're hitting them in the top third of our lineup against the hottest team in the American League!! Seriously?? The 2010 White Sox are offering Vizquel and Jones... batting immediately behind Juan Pierre... as the answer to this awful start to the season?? This is f***ing unacceptable. Pierre couldn't start for an NL club last year and can't field. Vizquel should have retired 3 seasons ago, and Jones should hit no better than 7th and we should be doing cartwheels because of what we've seen so far... something that there is no way in hell will continue. I don't know what to do here, boys. This lineup is in shambles. We need Carlos Quentin to hit like its 2008 pre-wrist and we need Alex Rios to hit like its 200-.... that year he was supposed to break out and never did. I love the White Sox. I love going to games. I love the sound of Gene Honda. But the Blackhawks had better go deep into the playoffs so I don't have to deal with this crap. It's Chicago, and a much better lineup could have been had, and we're dealing with this crap. Pierre - Vizquel - Jones Your 2010 top 3 for at least one game, and one was too many. So Ozzie, I've fired you, and Kenny... I love you but you are now on my watch list, and I never thought I'd say that either.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:28 PM) I like lamp. I LOVE lamp.
  3. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 08:46 PM) Anyone catch Survivor? Another great week. First crazy blindside in two seasons that wasn't orchestrated by Russell Parvati better watch out for Russell right now. He hates not knowing what is going on.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) Off all guys to take a puck to the face... I can't say that I am too upset to see it be Tootoo. ftw
  5. Oh man Foley and Eddie-O just ripped a dude with f***ed up teeth. Hilarious.
  6. Dustin Byfuglien. You just played well on defense. I thank you.
  7. Solid first period for the Hawks. They really need to score in the 2nd to get the Preds to open up their style.
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 04:30 PM) Sox Cubs (barf..) Bulls/NBA playoffs Blackhawks/NHL playoffs NFL Draft I honestly don't think many people in Chicago (or in other places for that matter) will have their clickers on one channel tonight. I'll watch Peavy in between periods of the most meaningful Hawks game of the year. The rest of that crap I will pay no attention. Cubs... as you stated barf, Bulls? HAHAHA please visit my comments in that thread.. Draft? No picks for the Bears. Hawks all the way baby.
  9. QUOTE (AJUribe @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 04:29 PM) Should get a standing ovation tomorrow, gotta love a player who pisses off cub fans so much He should be booed by anyone with a mind. He SHOULD have pissed off any Chicagoan for his made up stories about the school system.
  10. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) In other news, Willie Harris is batting 3rd for the above .500 Nats today Fixed that for ya.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 02:46 PM) By entire team, I meant the offense, defense, pitching, coaching, base running. Yes, there are some bright spots for individuals. I love watching Santos pitch. F*ck Santos. I brought him in in the 8th in MLB 10 the Show last night and he gave up a 3 run bomb. Not cool!
  12. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 02:23 PM) I think Campbell will replace hendry and move Buff to in front ofthe net on the PP. Why Hendry? He's played well. EDIT: Nevermind, you're the guy who thinks Sopel is playing well.
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 01:00 PM) From April 17 to May 5th during the 2008 season, the White Sox went from 9-6 to 14-17. That's a record of 5-11 during a 16 game stretch. That's a rough stretch early in the season that is 1 game worse then the one the Sox are currently on, and that team won 89 games and a division title. That offense really wasn't any better or much different, and they were just fine. Sit down, relax, and enjoy baseball. It does take about 40-60 games to determine how good a team really is. I'm not about to say that everything will fix itself, but we don't know what this team is or is not capable of completely yet. Post of the millennium.
  14. Coach Q after morning skate: Brian Campbell will take part in warmups, game-time decision
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:39 AM) caulfield could you please stop with your daily doom and gloom threads? We all know the team is struggling, everyone is pissed. We dont need you showing every single connection to every single sox team that struggled in the past 50 years, every day. Easy big fella...
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:33 AM) Maybe the Mitchell injury and the fact that Viciedo's not the monster (yet) I thought I would has been what most bugs me. I was so excited when we signed that kid, I thought he would be our version of Miguel Cabrera. He still might be, but it's not looking good at the moment. Well, that was your first mistake.
