  1. "Horrible" loss. I've missed the hyperbole
  2. only 2 games, but has a reliever not put a runner on base so far?
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 09:40 PM) I just have to say this...watching Quintana pitch with men on base is awful. He takes FOREVER between pitches. It's like he wants to bore the hitter so he'd swing more often. He started that last season. Drives Hawk nuts
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 09:41 PM) Go back to bed dude.
  5. great base running, melky
  6. I'd forgotten how much I miss Gene Honda doing voices for CJ Wilson Mazda
  7. Good. Latos is going to be a gas can IMO.
  8. must be awesome to be Drake and know that you're the reason for all of this bulls***. Thanks, dad.
  9. QUOTE (Baron @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 08:13 AM) I'm getting real sick of Chris Sale and Eaton. Shut the f*** up and play baseball. I'm actually glad both are being so vocal on this issue because (a) it clearly highlights dysfunction in management of this organization and perhaps that will get addressed and (b) I always like to see players rally around one another. Plus, the fact that both see themselves as leaders on this team is a good thing, IMO.
  10. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 07:42 AM) This is honestly the 2nd most annoying thing about this. You say you're the main guy and one of the bigger stories about the White Sox in years and not a peep. Unreal. Pure speculation: Hahn made the deal for LaRoche and Hahn agreed that his kid could be around as much as he liked. KW is undermining that agreement.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 01:45 PM) Then there's this: "His teammates rose to his defense and challenged Williams in a heated clubhouse meeting, according to multiple sources" http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/adam-la...going-on-031616 WTF is he in the clubhouse making this call. It's a manager's decision.
  12. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Feb 25, 2016 -> 01:54 AM) As an African American myself, I always wonder about how hard a time black prospects have adjusting to a ML clubhouse when the number of black players is constantly diminishing. I know that whenever I am in a unfamiliar environment/situation I always feel more comfortable after seeing someone who looks like me. I think this will do wonders for Tim Anderson's development. I wish there were a way to fix this.
  13. Great baseball man and really important to the franchise I love. He had a great life, RIP
  14. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 09:30 AM) I laughed out loud at the news. Kenny gets his man once again! At some point Alex Rodriguez will be wearing a Sox uni
  15. I remember when he got busted with a crack pipe in his hand while in a hotel room across the street from the big A playing for Anaheim. It's a sad thing.
  16. I say get a LFer and let Melky start his career at DH now.
  17. I agree that the answer is already on the roster: Avi Garcia. Let the kid play.
  18. Learn to love the Memphis White Sox
  19. QUOTE (shipps @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 08:31 AM) Like bmags said, this has bad idea written all over it. IMO what is sad is that the Sox should have done a complete overhaul this off season and started from scratch and I think it would have been a better PR move than what they have done so far. This team and its direction leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. I like Hahn, I think he is a really smart baseball guy but I feel like he has been mentored by KW for so many years so he will have the same tendencies as KW had. Plus I think Hahn is moved by a lot of his decisions with a sprinkle of a KW influence. I hope things turn around, but damn. I do not like that this team is going to be a day late and a dollar short in every aspect of the team. The starting staff is great for the top three and but the last two slots are question marks. The bullpen I think is going to be a great strength however bullpens are the one thing that is fickle from year to year. Its hard to judge. The offense has some really nice pieces but its not solid from top to bottom, it just isnt. Teams with championship expectations have far less question marks than what the Sox are looking at and no one gives you the feeling in the FO that they have a true vision of exactly their what they want to do. They are doing a lot on the fly here, so it seems. I'm with you but I think Rick is torn by the same things fans are: what do you do with a couple of studs like Sale and Abreu who are in the prime of their career? Do you build around them? Do you jettison them for prospects and do a true re-build? Or do you try to add a few pieces and hope you have one of those years? The hope I'm hanging on to is the universals consensus that came out of the clubhouse last season, ie, this team wanted another chance to prove itself. Not saying they deserved that at all but I do like that mentality. LaRoche and others know they seriously underachieved. I don't think they have the talent on paper to compete with a really solid division but maybe a chip on the shoulder can make some things happen.
  20. Nationals official site broadcasting a major announcement tomorrow
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 01:15 PM) 10 years ago also was the peak attendance of the franchise. The thing is, they drew a lot more last year than any year before Reinsdorf owned the team. Maybe he should threaten to move them again.
