Just another interesting story with a twist that makes baseball so fun to follow.

FWIW... I was in Bakersfield, CA last weekend visiting with family, nephew who plays baseball is coached by Brent Morel's old hitting coach. Morel was also in town promoting his charity. Long story short, got the chance to chat with the old coach, told him I'm a Sox fan and he said we're in for a surprise this year, that what we saw in September was what we can expect to see next season. Says Morel is the smartest player he's ever worked with and that he's made the adjustment to the majors and has been working his ass off during the off-season. Again, take it for what it's worth. But it was encouraging to hear.

Just booked tix for Sox vs. Cubs and Sox vs. Rangers. And Cubs vs. Dodgers (traveling with a damn cub fan).
