Hey Ozzie....
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 08:04 PM) It's time for Ozzie to step up and get this team going on the right track. He needs to stop feeling sorry for himself and talking a big game in the media. It's time for him to prove he can make a lineup without having some mediocre slap hitter at the top of the order. It's time for him to shake things up, even if that means drastic things like putting Owens or Mackowiak between Konerko and AJP to break up the automatic double play situation that those guys get themselves into. Basically, it's time for Ozzie to prove that he hasn't lost this team, and that he's the right man to stop this almost year long slump this team has been in. Please stop making comments about if you should be fired or not or what's going to happen in your career. Just go out and get this team to play with energy and confidence. interesting note from Whalen's blog...

Players only Team meeting after the game
a brawl against the tigers turned things around in 2000. Maybe these "nice guys" need a meeting to do something.

Not Even Jenks is immune
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 09:25 PM) 10 games out of the division lead, 7.5 out of the wildcard with seven teams to jump. It's over. Done. Get to work Williams and orchestrate a trade which benefits our future. sox are 2-7 in June. I predict they are about to go 16-3 in their next 19 and finish the month 18-10 and get back over .500. That's right, I'm drinking the Jim Jones cocktail. It's a lot easier to swallow when I'm waiting for a lineup to turn it around rather than waiting for starting pitchers to turn it around. If that were the case, I'd pack it in with you. The bullpen is another matter entirely. That should put them within striking distance of the WC and I still expect a stumble from the tribe and kitties.

MAKE A TRADE
the most idiotic thing the sox could do is make a trade right now. The value of Dye, Buehrle and anyone else will only go up the closer we get to July 31.

Not Even Jenks is immune
don't be depressed, be like the Sox: glad to see Konerko called a meeting, finally. Maybe now they'll win 3 out of the next 10.

The Reason This Team is Bad, and Yes: It's Ozzie's Fault
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 06:53 PM) Why are people so quick to dismiss that Ozzie is failing to motivate these players? are you suggesting that a managerial change is going to turn this season around?

Bullpen
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 11:40 AM) Who cares. If they can't throw a strike at USCF, I couldn't care less if the strike everyone out in AAA. thanks for that update

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 06:38 PM) Nice pitch by Contreras....but it's disturbing that he's only reaching 89 mph when he leans back and tries to throw it past someone. the count's forkball is so nasty I don't care about his speed. When he's throwing it for strikes from multiple angles...

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 06:36 PM) So now that there's rumors that Dye has some injury problems, are PK, AJ, and Uribe the only opening day starters we have that's been healthy all year? kong has supposedly been battling a bad hammy

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
looks windy tonight - no way they can hit in the wind, and it's unfair to expect them to.
