  1. I hope Buehrle goes deep as we have a DH tomorrow and Im sure Thornton is unavaliable tonight...Jenks also has thrown 30+ pitches 2 of the past 3 games
  2. To me its like he is looking for sympathy cuz he had to support his family...I guess whatever education he got at UCLA was pointless since he admitted having no skills at anything!!
  3. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 11:31 PM) Just got back from the game...is it me or could Pods have totally caught that liner hit to left? And what was up with the inside-the-park-HR? Where is his head? Also, Linebrink needs to get his s*** straight. I think he was scared that the ball would scoot by him and the tying run would score
  4. AJ was pissed he didnt catch it either...ALSO I was pissed that the OOT Scoreboard was stuck on the same 4 games for 7+ innings...SF/ATL, CHI/PHI, MIL/PIT, and NYM/WAS...Christ someone get that thing moving!!!
  5. GO SOX!! First game for me, will be there with my 3 kids and the wife!!
  6. Sox vs Bal: pods7, missile6, jd9, thome dh, pk3, aj2, getz4, beckham5, wise8. Buehrle pitching.
  7. We're putting the band back together!
  8. ML pitcher with the Sox...is he any good...well anyway, he was suspended 50 games for Boldenone ( White Sox pitcher Carlos Rosario...suspended after testing positive for boldenone. Boldenone (1,4-androstadiene-3-one-17β-ol, available as the undecylenate ester), also known under the trade names Equipoise, Ganabol, Equigan and Ultragan, is an anabolic steroid developed for veterinary use, mostly for treatment of horses. In the US it is not indicated for use in humans and is only available through veterinary clinics. Boldenone: The activity of boldenone is mainly anabolic, with a low androgenic potency. Boldenone will increase nitrogen retention, protein synthesis, increases appetite and stimulates the release of erythropoietin in the kidneys. Boldenone was synthesized in an attempt to create a long-acting injectable Dianabol (Methandrostenolone), but in reality Equipoise acts nothing like Dianabol. The muscular gains made on a Boldenone cycle are usually slow and steady, resulting in quaility sustainable muscle, whereas Dianbol is a faster acting steroid designed for immediate weight gain. Another reason Boldenone is so popular for bulking is because it increases the appetite; this is also a reason many athletes will stay away from it pre-contest. Boldenone has a low rate of aromatization (about 50% of Testosterone), which means it does not convert to estrogen easily and does not cause very much water retention. It has a very long half-life, and can show up on a steroid test for up to 1.5 years, due to the long undecylenate ester attached to the parent steroid. Trace amounts of the drug can easily be detected for months after discontinued use. Although commonly compared to nandrolone, boldenone lacks progesterone receptor interaction and all the associated progestinic side effects. Boldenone can, however, produce mild androgenic side effects. Oily skin, acne, increased aggression and hair loss are all possible with this compound but rare. Boldenone does reduce to a more potent androgen dihydroboldenone via the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme (analogous to the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), however its affinity for this interaction in the human body is low to nonexistent. Suppression of the HPTA, water retention, possible increase in acne and possible conversion to estrogen, high blood pressure are all side effects associated with Boldenone. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/news/ar...b&fext=.jsp http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boldenone

  13. we go 88 years w/o a WS win, KW gets it done, and you guys rip every move he makes...makes me think you are all ungrateful bastages at times Go watch the Cubs and see what suffering is all about!!
  14. QUOTE (beck72 @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) Something to consider, Allen was from the 2004 draft, 5th round. The sox haven't had many guys make it in the bigs from those early 2000 drafts The '06 draft was a disaster
  15. and Jerry is about to buy an NHL team in Phoenix...I know he says he doesnt mix payrolls or anything like that, but spending $170 mil HAS to factor in it somehow (or some of $170 mil, whatever his part is!)
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 08:33 PM) Well you can definitely understand that. We had a team that could have won it all that year and our season had to end because two sides couldn't agree. And JR had something to do with that strike too... we were up 1 game on Cleveland, and the Yanks were 3 games better than us...nothing was guarenteed
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 08:30 PM) That team was in first pretty much all year. They really struggled down the stretch. Doesn't matter, they struggled, made it to the playoffs, then got hot...we can do it too, oh wait, we are only mediocre so no chance right???
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 08:27 PM) Yeah and we're 2 games above .500. We've been a mediocre team. Didn't the Cards win the 2006 World Series after only winning 83 regular season games?? I bet their fans thought they were mediocre all yr
  19. we are 2 games out of 1st and in the race...our attendance should not be this bad
  20. I like the deal as well...I also have faith in what KW is doing when he trades...more times than not it works in our favor..remember Matt Thornton when we got him, he couldnt throw a strike...I expect we will work on Pena the same as we did Matty
