  1. Lets sweep KC and gain some momentum for the Twins and Tigers...
  2. JD...seriously no one remembers closers unless their names are Smith, Gossage, Rivera, or Hoffman
  3. With 6 games left vs Detroit, we are still in it...Odds arent good, but something is better than nothing

  5. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:12 PM) And they are ALL homers. Except Santo right?? LOL
  6. QUOTE (VAfan @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 10:34 PM) Meanwhile, Brandon Allen started tearing it up in Arizona's AAA team -- 12 HRs in 145 ABs, a .413 OBP and .600+ slugging percentage -- and has two HRs in 11 games after being called up, including a 2-run HR off Billingsley tonight, after he'd mowed down the first 13 Diamondbacks. what about his HOF .242 average coming in to today??
  7. I seriously the air conditioner was going to keep PKs tater in play
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 11:40 PM) The fact that we agreed to trade Thome for that guy (which is basically, next to nothing) and trade him to a contender tells me that Thome is going to retire after this season. I'm pleasantly surprised at what we got for Count. Big Jim wants 600...I see him going somewhere in the AL next yr...hell why not the Yankees!!!
  9. Ill take Ozzie Guillen as my manager anyday of the week...you people forget how successful he really has been over here...Maybe we should bring back Terry Bevington and you guys can deal with his stoopid azz!!
  10. Chicago White Sox right-handed pitcher Jake Peavy will try to throw a side session on Thursday in Boston, according to a White Sox source. Depending on the results, Peavy could make another minor-league start on Sunday or Monday for Triple-A Charlotte. It was decided after Peavy was hit in his pitching elbow with a line drive in his Monday start for Charlotte in the International League that he should make one more rehab start. If Peavy is able to get his pitch count up between 80-90 he could start against the Boston Red Sox at U.S. Cellular Field during the Sept. 4-7 series.
  11. I cant believe all of you have thrown in the towel...there is still a month left and ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!! How about a big win over the Cubs at the end of this trip ignites the Sox on a tear to win the Central!!
  12. Peavy was pushed back awhile after taking line drive off elbow. He backed off after 5 min of throwing. No NY start-no timetable
  13. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 26, 2009 -> 08:10 PM) Scotty f***ing Podsednik. Its the f***ing Catalina Wine Mixer!!
  14. You can play noon games before fox coverage but it is local only. No directv and probably no superstation coverage
  15. run would not count since one runner did not tag up properly...obviously a different story if the runner is trying to advance
  16. I am in until the last out of the season...in the playoff chase or not!!
