  1. Early line is Steelers -4 and Over/Under 47, from what i found
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 22, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) I said a few weeks ago that Keith, Seabrook and Bell should be the only ones kept. Scratch Bell off the list. He has been just as lazy and Arnie latley, and looks like he could give two s***s about being on this sorry team. What a horrible, horrible franchise. It makes me mad just typing this. This city deserves so much better. I couldn't have said it better myself. I almost question myself for supporting this franchise all these years.
  3. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 05:44 PM) I think part of this is that maybe he has the "typical" Russian player attitude and doesn't quite work as hard as he should or could. I have read/heard that before, for what it's worth.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 05:37 PM) Oh.. they weren't fighting.. someone just had to remind Bri of his priorities... :rolly :headshake
  5. Thanks for the title change Greasy. I think we can put everything in here and make it easy to find Hawks stuff the rest of the year.
  6. More on Richmond ASSETS: Knows how to quarterback the power play. Skates well and is excellent when pinching in from the point. FLAWS: Lacks size and strength. Turns the puck over too often in the defensive zone. Needs more work without the disk. CAREER POTENTIAL: Power play specialist.
  7. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 01:48 AM) If we can get 20 pucks for him, great. If we can get a bag to hold those pucks as well, even better. They can take cullimore back, he's just taking away ice time from guys like babchuk who should be playing minutes in the nhl. Cullimore has been terrible this year. Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have acquired defenseman Danny Richmond along with a 4th round pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman Anton Babchuk and a 4th round pick in 2007. “Danny Richmond is a kid with a lot of passion for the game,” said Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon. “He is a skilled defenseman who possesses a lot of grit and toughness. He definitely is the type of player who fits in with the type of team we are trying to build in Chicago.” Richmond, 21, stands at 6.01, weighs in at 192 pounds, and is a native of Chicago. He was originally Carolina’s 2nd round pick (31st overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft out of the University of Michigan where he was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team that season. This season, Richmond split time between the Carolina Hurricanes and Lowell in the American Hockey League. For Carolina, Richmond appeared in 10 games and had 1 assist with 7 penalty minutes. For Lowell, he appeared in 32 games scoring 4 goals while adding 11 assists for 15 points with 60 penalty minutes. He was also named to the AHL 2006 Planet USA All-Star Team. Richmond played for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League in 2003-04 where he had 35 points (13g/22a) in 59 games. He also played for Team USA in the 2004 World Junior Championships winning the Gold Medal. He played in 6 games and had 4 assists including 2 assists in a 4-3 win in the championship game over Team Canada. He played the 2004-05 season for the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League appearing in 63 games scoring 4 goals and 13 points with 139 penalty minutes. Danny’s father, Steve Richmond, played defense for five seasons in the NHL appearing in 159 career games for the New York Rangers, Detroit, New Jersey, and Los Angeles. Anton Babchuk, 21, was the Blackhawks 1st round pick (21st overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. The 6.05, 212 pound defenseman had split this season between the Blackhawks and the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL. Babchuk appeared in 24 games for Norfolk in the American Hockey League this year scoring 5 goals and adding 7 assists for 12 points with 22 penalty minutes. He was recalled by the Blackhawks twice this season and played a total of 17 games scoring 2 goals while adding 3 assists for 5 points with 16 penalty minutes.
  8. Boers and Bernstein are interviewing Davis' wife at 5:20 today.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 12:59 PM) I had to switch back to the classic hitting style. I'm having a hell of a time hitting still though. Don't know whats up, but it may be because my team has 20 freshman on it. I made my own school and than took a D roster in the big west and boy did they blow. Simmed through my 1st season to get to recruiting and holy cripes all my team was seniors and my 2 good underclassmen transfered (probably because the team started 0-14). One thing pissed me off, Illinois won the whole damn thing. Thats bulls***. No way should that happen in the 1st year of the dynasty. To make matters worse, Fullerton was under .500. So a perrenial national title contender goes under .500 while the Illini win the whole damn thing. Haha, that's awesome. Don't be jealous because we have a better baseball school than you do
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 08:47 AM) Just saw this Boz... Awwww... BTW.. Houlihans said no way Jose to a reserved dinner. Can't blame them.. we barely got them to give us the tables we needed last year.. so how about brunch/lunch on Saturday..? Looks like Brian isn't going to make it this year so we won't have to worry about waiting on him to crawl off the floor before we can eat. :rolly No no, you do have to worry about it
  11. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 02:02 AM) She's not one of the options, but my choice is queen Steff. I think she would be a funny ass drunk. I could see her tellin everybody off. Snappin on everybody. Wait, she does that sober. She also does other things while drunk which are, well, entertaining to say the least She also confuses past and present White Sox players
  12. Dan Stevenson...Notre Dame OL Went to my high school, went to the state championship with him leading the line.
  13. Yeah, i saw those rumors as well. While i like calder, he's better suited to be a grinder on the 3rd line of a good team than a 1st or 2nd liner on our team. By the team we have a good enough team where Calder can be a third liner...well, who knows when that will happen is my point. I'm fine with getting something for him, as long as it's not a bunch of 2nd round draft picks (aka the sullivan deal). And Barnaby...the sooner the better. All the names listed are fine with me. This team needs to start rebuilding, and these vets can be shipped off to start that process. As mentioned, the contracts will make it hard...but i trust Tallon at this point. I don't think he did a great job in the off season, but i think he's done a good job during the year. I think he knows what he wants/needs on this team, and now he can focus on getting that.
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 01:41 AM) Apparently, Cullimore will probably get shipped off to the Lighting soon, as they need to improve their D-Corps. If we can get 20 pucks for him, great. If we can get a bag to hold those pucks as well, even better. They can take cullimore back, he's just taking away ice time from guys like babchuk who should be playing minutes in the nhl. Cullimore has been terrible this year.
  15. SnB doesn't even drink! I should be nominated due to soxfest alone, this is a shame.
  16. Sorry, i didn't recognize the name Steff _______ in my inbox :rolly Edited by YASNY: Probably not a good idea to post someone's last name on an internet message board. If this turns out not to have been a problem, I apologize. Better safe than sorry.
  17. I beat SnB all 3 games we played. All i have to say is plays at the plate still suck in mvp, you are out every time if the ball beats you. It's ridiculous, the throw can be up the line, under the guys body, or right on the plate with no tag, you are out
  18. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 12:46 PM) They haven't played many teams, but I'd still call them a major threat once March rolls around. They have a very balanced team. Brewer and Horford are both future lottery picks that are playing pretty well. Taureen Green is playing very well at the point. He's distributing the ball fairly well without racking up a ton of turnovers, and his outside shooting has been deadly. Joakim Noah gives them another big body that makes life difficult for the other team. He's been solid on defense. Humphrey doesn't do much other than shoot, but he does that fairly well. They don't have a lot of guard depth, but Richards gives them another fairly productive post guy off the bench. It's hard to say what they'd do against the top teams, but I'd expect them to do well against virtually anyone but the top few teams. They've got a lot of different weapons on offense, and they seem to do pretty well on defense. The one thing that could hurt them is that they don't seem to be an elite rebounding team. I agree with what you said from things i've read and highlights i've seen. I'm not even trying to say i think florida sucks or anything. I just like to watch teams play in tough games and evaluate them. I can't really tell how good they are because they haven't played anyone. I've also seen them play like one half of basketball this year. So i'm not gonna comment on a team i haven't seen.
  19. QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) yeah, maybe i'll go over there and punch one of his chairs. You wouldn't dare hurt the futon, that's for sure
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 09:10 AM) I will tell you who DOES looks impressive, FLA. That team can play. Until they play somebody, i can't tell how good they really are.
  21. QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 08:59 PM) pffft, we were there. I will never forget seeing that floor rush in person. Probably the worst day of my life, all things considered.
