  1. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) There. 2005 Road Grey "Members Only" Dugout Jacket. I'll be with this group of schmos...we'll be hard to miss. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Should be a blast. We'll be hard to miss because you, steve, keith, and myself all have that jacket.
  2. QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) it didn't happen against wake forest....security was too tight.......i think. I wasn't on the floor for that game, so I'm not positive on that one though. The last floor rush was UNC in 02, the ACC/Big Ten challenge. There was no rush vs Wake last year. That would have been pointless. We weren't shocked we won...rushing the floor would have shown that we were ecstatic for the 'upset' of wake. I was on the floor, no one rushed. When a camera guy came into the corner, a decent group of people ended up on the very corner of the floor, just chanting "we're #1" and stuff, but there was certainly no floor rush.
  3. Security kept me from running on the floor tonight after the huge home win... Steve, good job on the wave in the 2nd half you dbag
  4. Well i'm off to the game against Minnesota, we'll show Iowa how not rush the floor after a home win. Take notes Jason
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 12:45 PM) Hopefully no later than noon. Well i better leave early from champaign then
  6. Aboz, nice analysis. If Illinois wants to win the Big Ten, we have to try to win 1-2 games between @ Wisky, @ OSU, and @ MSU, all while taking care of home court. IMO, we have no chance of winning at MSU, and we play crappy at OSU...so the Wisky is a must win game IF we want a chance to end up in first.
  7. This is a shame. No farewell tour for him either, just a retirement after being out basically all year. Thanks for the memories Mario.
  8. I can't wait to rush the floor today when we beat Minnesota.
  9. I'm 4-0 with Illinois thus far. Just beat Bradley in the 9th...went in down 2-1 and pulled it out. Varsity seems like it could be a good level to play at, but only time will tell.
  10. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) It's a rap song that plays to the beat of the old NBA on NBC anthem at the chorus of the song. I heard it during warmups of the ILL/NU basketball game. Any help would be appreciated. They play that as the first song for Illinois' pregame intro at home games this year.
  11. Alright i finally got a copy of it since i was out of town this weekend. I'm going to start out with the zone hitting, see how it works.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 03:10 PM) I ruin everything. Steve usually ruins everything
  13. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) Yeah, okay, Iowa shoots 35% and still beats the Illini by 15 and the Illini are suddenly going to dominate them just because they are at home. Illinois would actually have to score to do that, something they've had trouble with against any competent team. 68 against a young UNC team, and 79 against Michigan are the only two good offensive games I see against quality opponents, and another fairly good night with 65 against Xavier. Even against weak teams like NU and Coppin State they didn't exactly light up the scoreboard. Even assuming they play stellar defense it is going to be tough to hold Iowa under 50, meaning that Illinois would have to score at least 65 to make it a killing in my book. They've going to have to a very good night to do that, especially from behind the arc. They probably should win since they play better at home, but I'd hardly expect them to dominate. I don't think they'll blow them out, i'm mainly just messing with Jason. However, we will win that game. And yes, home court makes a HUGE difference.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) Note I said almost any team in the country. But the important thing is, once I get off my lazy ass you'll be sporting a sig as evidence that they could take down one of the best teams in the big ten There is an expiration date on this sig bet...i'm not going to be sporting an Iowa sig come March. Hurry up you bastard Edit: I also won't be sporting it past Feb 25th, when we beat you at Assembly Hall. And by beat, i mean destroy.
  15. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 01:30 PM) Louisville shouldn't even be ranked. Wow, 4 ranked teams, 4 losses. And good wins...?
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 11:45 AM) Latest RPI: http://www.kenpom.com/rpi.php Top 10: 1 Duke 2 Memphis 3 Villanova 4 Michigan St. 5 Illinois 6 Tennessee 7 Gonzaga 8 Wisconsin 9 Connecticut 10 Pittsburgh I still have hope for a #1 seed for MSU, if they can get on a pretty good streak. If they win the Big Ten i'd give them a good shot at a one seed. Obviously depends what other teams do, so we'll see.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 12:23 AM) We are capable of beating any team in the Big 10 and almost any team in the country. Put down the bottle
  18. Munro lets up 2 soft goals tonight, 5 hole...pulled after the third goal in the game. Crawford came in after arriving in chicago at 7am and shut down the wild the rest of the way. Look for a trade for a veteran goaltender really, really soon. Someone who can start now, and perhaps backup Khabibulin next year. Then we can use the young goalies at the level that they should be playing. And Arnason can eat it, i'm glad he sat...he's nothing but wasted talent.
