Walker pretty much said he won't change Alomar or Everett and will let them dictate what they want to do. Makes sense, i wouldn't shake em up too much considering he hasn't seen em and worked with em all year. Maybe a very minor adjustment would be in order

When/If Daubach cools and PK still isn't hitting, Lee can DH which opens the spot for Harris i guess. At least we have some options if guy start to go cold, and we have guys off the bench to use late in the game

The speed problem is a definite subject to talk about...good point. I don't think i'm sold on this deal at all. however, it's going to give the team a shot in the arm knowing they have the backing and confidence of their front office that they can win with this team. Is it official anywhere who we gave up yet?

The clubhouse shakeup with adding Everett and Alomar is definitely an issue. I don't like this trade nearly as much as the Alomar one

Well, who has more value, Rios or Jimenez? I'd say Rios. Graff can play IF but he's our only guy. Harris/Rowand and Daubach can play the OF

The difference of going for it in my mind Cubs are "going for it" if they trade Zambrano, etc to get Lowell. Otherwise they can trade other guys for a decent upgrade that's low risk (Jose Hernandez if you will). I don't think cubs fans said "well, we're going for it" after Jose donned a Cubs uni. Sure, they are trying to improve their chances. But if it doesn't work, no biggie, right. Now, if they go for Lowell, you'll find cubs fans saying "this is the year"...and they'll be giving up the farm to go for it.
