You don't always have to give a 3-0 take because that pitch can also be a get me over fastball down the middle of the plate. You'd never give the take sign 3-1 because then it's a full count and you have to now protect the plate and your chance of striking out rises greatly because you will be expanding your zone. 3-1 and 2-0 pitches are the best pitches to hit in baseball

When it happened, i thought Corey was in big trouble. Then he literally jumped up, and walked off the field. I was like wow, what a huge break for the Cubs. This is really weird.

Thomas is having a good year, not a great year. He's basically saying he should be in for career accomlpishments and where the game is being played, IMO. And both these things should be non factors.

I think we could get LA to overpay for Carlos Lee, which would open a spot for Everett in left (he CANNOT play center), and then have rowand and harris platoon in center. If Konerko starts hitting, we'd have way too many at bats. LA needs a stick really really bad and i think we could get some value from them. Maybe some immediate bullpen help or some prospects.

From some of the Frank comments i've heard, he thinks he should be in the AS game because it's at home and he's played here his whole life. I don't think where the game is played should factor into who makes the team at all. Just as i don't think Clemens should start the allstar game because of a career accomplishment. It's supposed to be based on single season statistics alone.

I don't know if major league teams want to disclose what they make off gate receipts from every game all year long
