Hideo Nomo - S - White Sox The White Sox released RHP Hideo Nomo from their Triple-A team. Nomo had pitched just once this season because of elbow problems and could be at the end of the line. He has 123 career wins since coming over from Japan, but hasn't had an ERA under 7.00 since 2003.

If he were to come here, then Thome will have a few more homers since he won't be bringing them back against us. I think he would be a good, younger option if the Sox are looking to upgrade in centerfield and maybe give BA more time in AAA to improve his offense.

Rumor heard during Phillies-Dodgers game...
AWhiteSoxinNJ replied to AWhiteSoxinNJ's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sorry I started this thread, forgot about Garland having a no trade clause. Seems like the people in Philly don't want him to leave but the fan base is overvaluing Rowand's worth. -
Take it for what it's worth, got it off the Philles board. http://www.philaphans.com/forums/showthrea...&threadid=41726

Any news on Tad or Thome playing tonight?

Thanks for the reports, I'm stuck in NJ watching the battle of New York and MLB.TV has be blacked out.
-
Sorry if it was already posted but what was Anderson's and Marby's role in the fight since I only say AJ get hit by Barrett
-
So what is the official list of ejections, MLB.TV says the game is blacked out.
-
He sure did s*** himself every time Pods was on base.

QUOTE(Finkelstein @ May 12, 2006 -> 11:55 AM) I can't believe how many people on that board said that they wished Rowand didn't attempt to make that catch. That catch saved the game for them, against the first place team in their division, and they wished that he would have pulled up on it to avoid potential injury. They don't deserve to have Aaron, IMO. Living in the Philly market, the reason for that reaction is because he is likely heading to the DL and are left with Shane Victorino in CF.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 12, 2006 -> 12:34 AM) Seems like even if there was padding, he still would have been running full speed face first into the wall....seems like he could have broken his nose regardless. http://www.philliesphans.com/phorum/viewtopic.php?t=33454 Yup, regardless of the amount of padding, the same result would of happened.

Just was wondering if you guys heard any news on Dye's injury for some of us out of towners. All I've been able to find is that he is day-to-day. He's been a real force behind Thome and Paulie so I hope he returns to the lineup ASAP.

Game Thread - 04/16 Garcia vs. Towers

time to catch some other games on MLB.TV, I refuse to watch whatever WGN has on right now -
I'm surprised they didn't let him steal today with Guch and then with Thome up. I wonder if they didn't let him because he's hurt? Usually when he gets on base he usually goes within a pick or two.

So I decided to go with the Black road World Series jersey with Konerko. I figure yeah he's a big name player, but not many people have one in New Jersey so I should be good. Here's what it looks like. http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?prod...1452620.1452701

Hey guys, I was going to order a customized black sox BP jersey for my bday and was wondering who you guys though on what player I should choose. I'm leaning towards Paulie right now since he'll likely be here the longest...thoughts?

Just got home and my email from DDD was in my mailbox, woohoo!
-
Interesting...don't remember seeing an email for it. I guess I'll just have to keep on checking my bills. I was going to get it anyways but would of been nice if it were for free, lol.

Hope this is in the right forum, but I signed up for MLB.TV last year and I still can sign in and watch some of the Spring Training games. My question is if anyone else bought it last can still do that or if I'm going to be billed for this coming season? Or am I lucky and they never cancealled my subscription?

QUOTE(longshot7 @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 04:52 PM) I think we should keep a running tally of all the media outlets (TV shows, magazines, websites) that pick the Sox to repeat in 2006. I've seen numerous fans' predictions, but not major media (yet). I suspect we'll see some after ST gets going. Most guys on ESPN (Reynolds, Gammons, Phillips, etc) said they can. No one really makes there prediction till the night before the season starts.

Brian N. Anderson - Outfielder Brian Anderson still has some concerns about his right wrist after having a plate and seven screws removed in November. Anderson broke the wrist back in 2003. "No matter how minor the surgery is, whenever you have any type of offseason surgery, it's going to be some type of a setback,"' Anderson said. "I don't have pain for the most part, and the strength is there, but I am still having some of the repercussions of the surgery. There's still scar tissue that I'm breaking through. Put it this way: It's never a good thing to have surgery." If Anderson isn't at full strength this spring, it might open the door for Rob Mackowiak to see playing time in center field against right-handers. Feb. 15 - 2:19 pm et Source: Chicago Sun-Times

Comcast Sportsnet in Philly has just reported the rumor on Sportsnite of... Bobby A. and Gavin Floyd for Count and Dye.
