  1. Hopefully this is the tough stretch, but with Minnesota, New York, Texas, and Anaheim still on the schedule, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few struggles later on. I'm kind of glad that this is happening right now, though. Maybe KW will be able to see some flaws and push for another bat or reliever.
  2. Of the reamaining games this seasons, only 19 are against teams with sub .500 records, and the Tigers are playing near .500 right now. We play the Twins, BoSox, Yankees, Rangers, Angels, etc. This is not over by a long shot. I am thrilled with what the White Sox have done thus far this year, and I really don't see any reasons why they can't continue playing good baseball. I do hope that KW tries to pick up another bat or pitcher to help grind out the rest of the season, and hopefully the playoffs as well.
  3. They said on Sportscenter that there were four teams that he would accept a trade to. I think they were Houston, St. Louis, Atlanta, and I forgot the other team mentioned. Chicago wasn't mentioned, but I think he would approve a trade to the Sox. I don't see the Reds trading inside the division though.
  4. I don't know what waiting until near the deadline really accomplishes. Last year all the Yanks got for waiting was Loaiza... Point is by that time most of the bigger names are gone, and the scraps are left.
  5. Burnett is 5-6 now; I'm not sure he is the answer if we have to give up Contreras. Count still is the hardest pitcher to hit in the AL. I think he will be fine with more run support. Burnett or Schmidt would both be great additions, but not at the expense of Contreras.
  6. I found it hard to believe too, especially with Houston at .500 in a weak National League, but here it is. St. Louis Post Dispatch
  7. Yeah, Clemens isn't going anywhere. His son Koby is going to sign with the Astros.
  8. Does anyone know anything about the list of teams Roger Clemens will accept trades to? I was sure it was only New York, but the Cardinals say that Clemens will accept a trade there as well as a few other teams. I wonder if the Sox are on that list ...
  9. This may have been posted already, but according to Rosenthal KW is going after Burnett, and we may be a frontrunner ahead even of Baltimore. link
