  1. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) Soriano could not have prevented us from giving up 6 runs in this toilet of a game. he could help an offense that can't seem to score more than 3 runs these days
  2. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) Shouldn't that be 4 ER? Punto was Neal's runner. naw, it's five, two of the three were javy's
  3. Javy's line: 6.0 IP, 8 H, 5 ER looks familiar
  4. soriano, make it happen KW. we need a jolt bad
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) The game thread is relatively quiet all night then Javy gives up 3 in the 6th and suddenly everyone comes out of the woodwork. Funny how that works. myself included..... but it's hard not to see this coming every start. at least the rest of the rotation is coming around and this game is not over either
  6. lot of baseball left though, cmon javy, jesus
  7. get him out next inning..... he needs a five-inning leash the next couple starts
  8. one more batter, if he gets on here they need to pull him
  9. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 08:22 PM) Great to see from the 8-9 now if we had soriano in the 1..... lol
  10. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) Well it's the only way this deal makes sense, I don't know who else is interested. The only way I see us keeping Soriano is if we sign him to an extension.... I don't know that Kenny would make this move unless he intended and knew that he could sign Soriano. I just don't see Kenny renting a player or this caliber. It costs too much. I mean he even signed Everett for one year the second time around.
  11. QUOTE(soxpride77 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) But who do we flip him for? Soriano is an A+ player, I don't know who we would get that is better than or equal to him. i can't see this deal going down without soriano getting a new contract. you're right, nobody is going to give us the same back for soriano. but i don't mind giving up mccarthy either assuming that we resign him
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) King Felix. Ha, that would be nice...
  13. I think Kenny likes our current staff a little too much...
  14. Now that the starters might be coming around, when is the offense gonna catch up? This must be a nightmare for Williams. I'd rather Freddy get nailed for 7 runs knowing that a change will be made rather than a great effort like this spoiled. This is so hard to watch. And we've got the Twins next.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 04:59 PM) Before his injury, he was absolutely a spark plug. However, the magic seems gone, and he's been having some bad at-bats. I'm more worried about his defense in LF, especially with Rangers hitters pulling Garcia's 86 mph fastball. Yeah, but if Garcia shows up with those meatballs tonight, it won't matter who's in left
  16. QUOTE(CySox @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) I might get ripped for this one... But i'd rather have Reed then Anderson. i'd rather have a world series than reed.....
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 10:23 PM) Another week or so of this miserable team play, and we're going to find ourselves in a lot of trouble. I'm thinking more like 5 days. I really hope we're not in third place in 5 days...
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) Cleveland blows, you can forget about them. They will not be making any sort of run this year with the current personel they're running out there. That doesn't mean they can't win a series against us, Detroit, or Minnesota and ruin somebody's season. They're easily the best 4th place team in any division, errrr, maybe the Dodgers...
  19. gotta get this last one to keep in this race. detroit's coasting through everyone else
  20. how many have we stranded now? this is ridiculous
  21. well, it's nice here in kc so i think im gg try and enjoy the weather, this garbage is ruining my saturday
