  1. I think the question was asked in the manner that, Frank left (or was shown the door, depending on how you interpret it) on no so good terms with Sox brass, so it was like does JR and Frank get along enough for it to happen.
  2. So it's alright for you to be sarcastic, but no one else can?
  3. It would have to be Owens right? I mean as station to station as we are right now we need someone who can come in and pinch run in a late inning situation. Perhaps steal a base.
  4. I case you didn't watch it Jerry Reinsdorf sat with an interview with Chuck Garfien (sp?) that aired last night and was posed the question, will Big Frank's number get retired, and should he get a statue inside the Cell. JR said most certainly that Frank's number will be retired, and also that he felt Frank also deserved a statue. I was just interested in what everyone else's opinions were, I know there are quite a few Big Hurt haters here.
  5. Picking a fight??? Hardly "dude", merely invalidating your post like you did to the other fellow.
  6. Then what has been our excuse over the past 10+ years?
  7. Yeah dude, because everybody who hits .300 for their career in the minors goes on to have excellent careers in the majors.
  8. Oh well back to back goose eggs for the team that's "going to score 1000 runs" is almost as good as a sweep! How about that?
  9. Here's my question, Who really cares if the website is updated or not?? I and every self respecting Sox fan already know this.
  10. I don't know, I personally would love to have Pod's HR on there I don't know if I would take Crede's double off to fit it up there. The HR was a key play, but if you ask me Crede's hit was, by far, way more pivotal. The Sox were already down one game, to an "exhausted" Angels team. If that game goes into extra innings and the Angels end up pulling it out, we're talking heading back to Anaheim for 3, down 2 games to none. That changes the whole complexion of the series, and to be honest I question if they would have been able to pull it off.
  11. It looks great, but the only question I have is why did it take 2 1/2 years to get one in place.
  12. I don't know why this is such a big deal. It's all I've heard about for the past two days. If there is any guy in our rotation that I wouldn't worry about switching up their routine it would be MB. Boy they really hurt for things to talk about when there isn't any games for a few days.
  13. That was an inside the park GRAND SLAM if my memory serves me correctly.
  14. Yeah, me neither, but Stoney mentioned it during the game the other night. Said he played with him back in the day.
  15. The only reason the Sox should move Crede is if they feel there is absolutely NO WAY that they can get a deal done with him and Boras, which will probably be the case. But saying that it HAS to happen for them to have any chance to compete, doesn't shock me in the least. The Sox will never get credit for being a good team, even if they keep this lead. Just like in '05 they were written off for not making a deal at the deadline. And we all remember how that season ended.
  16. I guess the point I was trying to make is I don't understand why we are comparing Abraham Lincoln to Jackie Robinson. There isn't really any basis on which the two should be compared other than, maybe, their connections to Black history.
  17. Im not saying it didn't help, but to think JR single handedly changed white America's views toward African Americans is ridiculous. He was just one man in a list of Rosa Parks', MLKs, Malcolm Xs,......and so on, to do something special to HELP change the way blacks were and still are treated in this country.
  18. In perspective Lincoln was a US president who changed the whole country. JR was an athlete, that changed a GAME
  19. I say the American League teams should wear #14 in honor of Larry Doby, nobody ever mentions him, and he only had to deal with three months less of the BS that JR had to. wheres the love
  20. AWW HELLS YEAH you see that hot b**** up there in section 558?? She just flipped one of her titties out.
  21. YEAH, I gotcha grand slam RIGHT HERE Joe!
  22. No way to get an RBI there?? Sure there is, it's called a two run homerun.
  23. If we got Roberts, this would not be an option. I guarantee we would end up sending at least one of them back to the O's.
