It's hard to get anything going when you are hitting 0-1, 0-2, 1-2 in the count. It seems like everytime up there dude is in the hole. Out of first 193 AB 98 0-1 counts 35 0-2 counts 62 1-2 counts Whereas on the flipside he has only had a few hitters counts only 32 2-0 counts and just 7 3-0 counts I'm not trying to make excuses for him, but pitchers are getting ahead of him early.

Underrated outside of Chicago, I would say definately. I wonder if the fact that he is paid next to nothing has anything to do with that. I don't see any other explanation for it, the guy had 40+ saves in his first two full seasons in the bigs. What more does he have to do

In order to make these plays, they have to be hit to him in order to make them. It could be that there are just fewer opportunities to make spectacular plays. They, like hits, I would assume mostly come in spurts.

NO REPLAYS WHATSOEVER!!! I don't care how many games we lose to bogus calls replays are ridiculous. Here's an idea GET BETTER UMPIRES, or hold them accountable for their blown calls. I never recall this many bulls**t call before these scab umpires came into the league. Ever since the umps held out, or whatever they did, and all got booted, thats when things went down hill. Farmer was complaining about the call at third, in the same inning as well. Said that on the lineout Crede got back to the bag before the runner but the ump still called the runner safe. Anyone see that play? I was surprised that Hawk wasn't saying anything about that play if Farmer was saying it was a blown call.

Or better yet, don't bring in Dotel when a game is still in reach
