  1. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Aug 16, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) I asked him about that he said that he is "Just Filling Out". Hope that halps Tom Thanks bro... it's good to see that his body is developing nicely. I think he will be in the 215-230 lb range.
  2. Lets get em Sox... Anderson .. do your thing.
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) Gold glovers do misjudge balls. Ask Torii Hunter about that. He badly misjudged a flyball earlier this year against the White Sox that he should have caught. Instead he moved in quickly and it went over his head for a double. It happens. Rowand has had it happen a couple times, but for the most part he gets excellent reads on flyballs and very good jumps. He has not always been this way. He has worked damn hard to become an excellent defensive centerfielder. I dont question his work ethic... just the constant thread that he's a Golg Glover... he's not.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) Yeah, you also agreed with a troll but that's cool too. My stance on Rowand defensively is well documented, the guy will win a GG sometime in the next 3 years, I've watched every game this year plus last year and a lot of them in person. He gets amazing jumps on the ball and has above average closing speed. I don't want to see him diving all over the place in the outfield because a lot of the time it means you got a s*** jump or totally misjudged a ball. Rowand gets to a lot of balls and makes them look easy that others would be diving for. He also has an above average arm but with average to below average accuracy, which is really something he has to work on. I don't slurp Sox players simply because they play for the Sox, hell I don't even like that many players on the team at this point in time. I have seen Rowand play a lot of CF over the past two seasons along with a little RF last year, he's made amazing strides and is only going to get better. Sometime in the next 3 years... Just by that statement... he isnt close to a gold Glove? Give me Anderson the future CF of the White Sox or Young.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) I'm a diehard Sox fan, but I'm also a baseball "expert". I'll say this (and I'm sure I'll be bashed): I have absolutely no clue how the Sox are 12 games up on the Indians, and 15 on the Twins. It's one of the most pleasant surprises I've ever had in sports, because this is not a great Sox team we're talking about. True that. The offesne is horrid
  6. BHAMBARONS, looks to me that Sweeney has bulked up a bit from what I remember him last spring and this spring? Any feedback? thks bud.
  7. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) Hey oh...I thought Aaron's nickname was 'Baby Mays'... They back off when there confronted with facts.
  8. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) That's an idiotic statement. You'd rather have a 21 year old AA CF who has proven s***, hell this is his first real good year in the minors, over Aaron Rowand who has proven to be an above average player on the major league level. A lot of people feel as though Brian Anderson will turn out to be an average to abover average (at best) player in the bigs. Once agian Brian Anderson has not proven anything yet except that he can play in the minors. You take the proven ML talent, you don't bank on a minor leaguer. Guess why that explains why the Braves keep winning. Organizations need to take chances, if it wasnt for any of them taking chances. You never hear about K-Rod , Jaret Wright (rookie season) , Miguel Cabrerra ( 19 year old ) just to name a few. Be opened minded , average MLB talent.. I'll take my chances with the guy in AA who hanst done anything and the guy in AAA who is going to " be an average to abover average (at best)" in the next year or 2.
  9. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) Edmonds Him 2
  10. By the Way Edmunds way above Rowand as well.
  11. I guess... hail the all Mighty Rowand. Give me Young or Anderson for the future... you can have Rowand.
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) Uh, he has, where have you been? You guys hype him to much. No where near .. Lofton.. Griffey ...Hunter defensive status. He's a solid player.. love his heart.
  13. QUOTE(heirdog @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) If Griffey trade happens: Carl in left, Rowand in center and Griffey as DH If Griffey trade does not happen: Anderson in left, Rowand in center and Carl as DH You don't move a potential gold glover from center to appease a player that you want for his bat. If he vetos the trade because he will be DH, then he isn't good for team with his me-first attitude any way. Potential gold glover ?... gold glovers dont misjudge balls .. Rowand has done that allot this year. great series vs Yankees.. Gold Glovers do it every series.
  14. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) I agree however Ozzie will probably use his latin lover Marte. :fyou Ozzie LOL . I doubt it.

  16. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 07:38 PM) Haigwood dominant yet again. 9 K's 1 BB 1 ER. His WHIP in AA is sick. Combine his A and AA WHIP, and its still sick. Man this kid knows what he's doing.
  17. Just seen that Timo and Blum are playing... :puke
  18. QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:57 AM) unfortunately it could be for the reds Dont understand why the Reds would want another OF, they have a overload of them now up on there 40 man roster. They also have a couple of good prospects in there minors.
  19. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 01:55 AM) Yep and a few road games as well. Cool bud... just wanan know who you think is ready to move up or maybe even ready for the ML's ? Do any of them make it seem easy down there is what im asking?
