heres the picture that espn currently uses I think it would be nice to atleast have one where the games a sellout
-
seriously is it that hard to replace the picture they have up there fans deserve to see the new and improved stadium on espn, and since we won the worldseries the least they can do is update the team page

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) Studies have shown that the lungs of a person who smokes for years then quits return to normal within 1 year. Cillia regenerate making this possible. Also within a year the risk of coronary disease is reduced dramatically, and within 5 years the risk of stroke is that of a person who has never smoked. "How Quickly Do the Benefits of Quitting Start?" * "Just 20 minutes after your last cigarette, your blood pressure and pulse rate drop to normal and the body temperature of your hands and feet increases to normal." * "A mere 8 hours after your last smoke, the carbon monoxide level decreases and the oxygen level in your blood increases to normal." * "Just 24 hours after your last cigarette, you substantially lessen your chances of having a heart attack." * "Two days after your last cigarette, you will notice that your ability to taste and smell is enhanced." * "Three days later, your breathing should be noticeably better because your lung capacity will be greater." * "Your circulation will improve and your lung functioning will increase up to 30% within two weeks to three months after quitting." * "Between one month and nine months, the cilia in your lungs will regenerate, allowing your body to clean your lungs and reduce infection." * "One year after quitting, your risk of coronary heart disease is half that of a smoker." * "Five years after quitting, your risk of stroke is reduced to that of a nonsmoker." * "Ten years after quitting, the lung cancer death rate is about half that of a continuing smokers. The risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, kidney and pancreas decreases." * "Fifteen years after quitting, your risk of coronary heart disease is that of a nonsmokers. (U.S. Surgeon General's Reports (1988, 1990) And please don't mistake my comments as a defense for lighting up anywhere.. it's not. But if you're going to make such strong statements you should have the right infomation to make them. sorry for misspeaking then, I had no idea about those facts

QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 09:46 AM) a smoker who smokes a pack per day for 10 years and then quits only has a SLIGHTLY higher chance of lung cancer/disease than a non-smoker. So you wanna explain to me how exactly a brush with second hand smoke on the concourse is a "risk to your health"? I would say the person who smokes for 10 years has the dark black lung, tell me that doesn't have a significant risk over someone who has a normal lung I think the "brush" with second hand smoke doesn't mean that if you inhale second hand smoke for one night that it will kill you, the idea is that the amount of second hand smoke you breathe in a lifetime accumulates, and in turn becomes harmful

love this now I won't have to have my shirt over my nose while I'm in the concession line

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 06:23 PM) Who cares what these guys think? Preseason predictions, as we all saw last year, mean nothing. They're not even worth discussing.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) There's nothing better than being at the CELL when it is sold out. I agree no better park in baseball when the seats are filled

QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 08:12 PM) can i delete this thread yet? because this is ridiculous c'mon is it really bad I'm not saying were going to lose 100 games because of this I was just thinking that I'd rather fly under every ones view, than have to be the refuted front runner although I'll take this position with a championship any day

being the superstitious guy that I am, it always comforted me to see the critics ignoring the sox, knowing deep down that my team could come through now that we have on paper the best team in baseball, repeat predictions are flowing through, and it worries me I have complete faith in ozzie to keep the players away from media pressure, but nonetheless, I don't enjoy the predictions Am I all alone here?
-
the green seats, in my opinion, is the last renovation the sox need to give the ballpark some character when the stadium is filled, there is no better park in baseball to be at

QUOTE(palehose23 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 05:12 PM) This was the greatest day of my life- (I am the big black guy on the right if you were wondering) WOW I can't believe you got to hold/touch the trophy I just went in deerfield... I was lucky that since I live in a mostly cubs area I only had to wait 20 minutes, but once I was in it was really cool to be so close to the trophy and get pictures with it

good article

I think it all depends on our record as much as I would like to think that we have the diehard fans that will come out full-force even if we suck, it's just not true that said Brooks Boyer was a genius with his world series-season ticket deal he must of boosted the season ticket base to atleast 15,000 add that to all the scout seats being sold out and walk ons I would say payed attendence of atleast 20,000 a night add sellouts and I think they'll draw 2000000 this season if they suck if they're good and draw really well even for bad matchups, then I think we can average 30,000+ a night bringing a total more close to 2500000 this season things also have to be taken into account such as april and may, which are always slow months

Aaron Rowand game used (cracked) autographed bat even though he was traded he was my favorite player and when he kicks ass with the phillies it will be worth a ton
-
Aaron Rowand was my favorite player....
GoRowand33 replied to whitesoxownyou's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Aaron was also my favorite player although it sucks that HE had to be the one that was traded, I have to understand that baseball is a business and people come and go overall I think this was a good deal for both teams, and I wish him well in philly -
Why the Bears should take a shot at T.O.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) I'm pretty sure he can't catch all of those passes that he overthrows and just plain misses. Well, then, why the hell isn't he smart enough to shut the damn mouth? With two receiver threats orton wouldn't have to be so touchy on his throws, so maybe the accuracy would improve also the control issue that T.O. had with Mcnabb wouldn't be an issue with Orton -

alright I guess I'm the only one who thinks how great it would be if we got him to change his ways, even if it's just for one season It would really help Orton, and if we want to do better than lose in the division series of the playoffs I think its a risk worth taking -

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) That is terrible logic. TO is an idiot and I could see it happening again quite easily. I'd rather be optimistic and say that his agent will make him clean up his act and if he won't then his careers over -

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) If Andy Reid and the Eagles can't keep the guy in line, nobody can. I could be wrong here, but my reasoning is if the guy gets kicked off a team once, it won't happen again
