  1. maybe the sox have enough fire power this year, but I feel like the fundamentals of the team have been drowned out a bit in favor of mammoth jim thome home runs it looks good now, but I don't know if its a long term solution for the offense I think podsednik and iguchi need to get back to their strategy from last year, and act as if thome doesn't exist feel free to blast me for this, but I think I have a point
  2. I don't think your crazy but I wouldn't go out and throw out an entire league in may I personally don't like to count any one out until its official be patient and wait it out before saying that
  3. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 1, 2006 -> 08:11 PM) Exactly. I'm not shocked by it. Who cares really? I mean, I wouldn't be one to boo, but people who are going to be booing Frank are probably guys who are mad about Thome being booed. that makes no sense to me I don't like thome being booed, but franks my alltime favorite player and I wouldn't boo him if he played for the yanks
  4. what a lack of respect shown by Indians fans :puke
  5. the guy didn't mention that barry has no world series rings anyways, so his affect has never helped any team in the playoffs (although he did come close)
  6. I don't have a problem with some one rooting for both teams I'm a neutral cubs fan myself but that guy as described sounds like a cubs fan
  7. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) He apparently also has issues with his balls.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 08:26 PM) He's fine at the plate...but he's already lost us one game with his defense in LF. Considering we have a pitcher who thrives on getting the other team to hit the ball to his defenders, I think we all would have liked to seen Crede at 3b, and Pods in LF. personally I think that was one of those nights in the field where any one could of messed up the outfield as a fan I think we should accept it was a tough night, and remember the outstanding play ozuna has given us in the past and hope it continues
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) The game's on CLTV tonight. my apologies then, the bulls game commercials didn't say that :banghead anyways I don't mind our lineup tonight, I think pablo is vastly underrated
  10. if any one is watching the bulls game besides me it seems to be that comcast won't start showing the game until the bulls POST GAME is over c'mon, move the postgame elsewhere either way go bulls and sox
  11. QUOTE(LeroySettle @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 08:37 AM) Whatever, you are probably one of the chicks that I got a phone number from and are still waiting a call back hahaha! Keep waiting I dont hang with girls from Plainfield, only city girls for me~ I know you want me... aww to bad he is banned anyways this guy looks like freddy garcia gone wrong
  12. yay 9 pm start, bulls game ending should sync up with about the 2nd are 3rd inning, instead of the end of the game like saturday
  13. IMO if I catch a homerun ball i don't care who hits I will never let go edit to say that I remember hawk an dj talking about how stupid it is to throw the ball back last year give the ball to a kid if you don't want it
  14. lets make it 8 I find it ironic that for as long as I can remember we only make it to 8 games, but 7 is crap so lets go for the sweep
  15. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) If you're going to make a thread about this--maybe you should eleborate on your observations a little more. For example: how were the fans "more annoying"? Like it was a sellout crowded bathrooms annoying or what? no problem crowds were more annoying because... a) a bunch of them were cubs fans around me b.) they were more focused on the bulls game c) were trying to start the wave d) too loud at pointless times concourse and seating area smelled better with out smoking because the great smell of hotdogs and onions actually creeped into where I was seated It felt great to be back in the park because I love going to games, and I hadn't been there since game 2 of alcs game was entertaining is self explanatory hating the wave is also self explanatory at first I was a little disappointed to be sitting in sec 556, but once I got there it was really a fine view, the height messed with my perception but I could see just fine alright there you go
  16. 1. It felt great to be back at the stadium 2.Great game, awesome fireworks 3.The fans are much more annoying this year 4.The wave is the worst thing to ever hit fans 5.Sitting in the deepest depths of the upper deck is not that bad 6.The concourse and seating area smells much better with no smoking
  17. freddy's a big game pitcher so I hope he gets hyped up for tonight with the (assuming) almost sold out stadium if not sold out can't wait to finally get into the park tonight!
  18. QUOTE(kman @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) lets do this thing guys.10 in a row here we come. actually it would only be 6 in a row
  19. I'm looking forward to this series, go sox great pitching matchups all around this weekend
  20. thank god my family was smart and locked up all our games from June on just to get to a game early on we bought tickets to saturdays game. After calling the park and having them tell us the game was sold out, we went online and had to settle for seats in section 557. Last year I could get seats a couple days before a saturday and be near the front row of the upperdeck behind homeplate ahh the beautiful price of a world series
  21. Am I the only one who feels like his swing is slow, or behind the pitches in a way I'm no hitting coach, but I think that might be why he wiffs so much
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 06:52 PM) First, don't jump to conclusions. Second, don't be naive about which players did roids, and which didn't. EVERY team in baseball had players that were on the juice a few years ago. AJP wasn't on the Sox then, so I don't really care if he was on them or not. I'm not saying he did it, but its still disappointing to have a player on the team who was once possibly associated with balco however as a sox player he's great, and as long as he is clean now who cares I just don't like seeing any of our sox guys put in bad positions or anything
