LOL this threads making me laugh makes me glad that soxtalk is normally a lot better than wsi (where I got banned for no reason anyways) -
I just bought some wilco albums and their pretty solid yankee hotel foxtrot is probably one of the stronger albums of the 2000s from what I've heard

GAME THREAD 6-11-06 SOX vs INDIANS
GoRowand33 replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in 2006 Season in Review
atleast we get their main broadcast team this year -
Has anyone "converted" someone to being a SOX fan recently?
GoRowand33 replied to Hangar18's topic in Pale Hose Talk
my friends are more anti-whitesox than ever even the ones who don't like baseball still don't like baseball -
its all opinion it's a matter of taking care of business in october, and its way to early to predict anything
-
contreras konerko thome dye jenks they deserve in, mark beurhle too, but not any one else aj no, because joe maur and posada are deservedly still better this year crede no. lowell is actually having a good year in b-town, and ozzie will have to lay some guys off to fit someone in from every team
-
apparently was suspended for roids last year
-
we might not be in first place, but 5-0 against Detroit that is pretty good seeing as they're pounding the rest of our division

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 08:42 PM) I dont think its going to be much of a problem with Oz as manager... well they still have to get one guy from every team which complicates it a lot if the starting 8 are from two teams -
AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&a

QUOTE(ShoeLessRob @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) Someone's got to get a recording of that cintron homerun call ... it was nice. it was his best since joe crede hit that homerun off of cleveland last year I'm gonna watch sportscenter just to hear it again -
AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&a

jeez how often does a team blow four golden opportunities, then finally come through on the fifth and win -
such a frustrating game all warning track power

I'm worried that the starting lineup will be so infested with yanks and redsox that there will be room for only one whitesock on the team QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 5, 2006 -> 11:52 AM) I have an all sox ballot although not as big in numbers, prolly hypocritical to be voting for uribe at this point -
after seeing our team produce and make things happen in the fourth inning today, WITHOUT trying to hit a homerun, I have a new wave of confidence in our offense I can only hope they keep it up, because if they do the wins will roll in
-
this is frustrating
-
awesome! I'm going to that game! kinda odd, but It's been like a goal to go to a sunday night game for some time now
-
ok maybe uribe would fit better in the 6 hole pods gooch thome konerko dye uribe mackowiak aj crede
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 31, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Or Uribe will continue to suck and kill rallies at a more important spot in the lineup while providing NO protection for Konerko, which will lead to Pauly struggling even more. well think it through, although it seems that Uribe could kill rallies at the 5 spot, their is so much strength behind him I doubt it would lead to a major difference in how pitchers deal with Paulie
-
heres my reasoning for Uribe at #5 so many times have we had 2 on and none or 1 out and Uribe and Anderson come up and blow the rally I think if we scatter about or weaker hitters their averages will improve, and less rallies will be squandered QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 31, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) Feel free to write, Ozzie Guillen's email: [email protected] done no way I will get a response, but whats to lose?
-
I think that we have an amazing offense, but were using it the wrong way sure were winning, but I think with the lineup I propose below we could be even better 1. Scott Podsednik-LF 2.Tadohito Iguchi-2B 3.Jimi Thome-DH 4.Paul Konerko-1B 5.Juan Uribe-SS 6.Jermaine Dye-RF 7.Rob Mackowiak-CF 8.AJ Pierzynski-C 9.Joe Crede-3B I think our lineup is about 100% more balanced, and there is no death stretch at the bottom of the order that could kill any rallies I think we had something going last year with the bottom of the order, lets try it again, instead of batting in order of productiveness
-
what happens if the roster is so loaded with yanks and redsox that its impossible to fit someone from every team
-
I'll be worried if they beat us the division comes to head to head battles between sox-tigers-indians whoever wins the majority will win the division
