I think that shoeless joe should be cleared regardless of if he knew about it or not, I think that some teammates took advantage of his illiteracy and got into some stuff where he didn't know what he was doing

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) So.....this guy lost his spot on the team after two walks.... I think he looked lost today, that would be my reason

how long can we expect bmac to pitch in this game it seems like he's moving slowly -
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 16, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) Wait... are there people who think that the PA flight was shot down, and that fact was covered up? I don't get that. Why would they do that? To me, given Bush's political style, I'd think that the shoot-down would actually be something he'd want to take credit for. Not because of the people that died, but because of the decision it means he made. Lives would have potentially been saved. I think the conspiracist theory right now is that the flight landed in some airport in cleveland and the passengers are being held by NASA

of the new songs I think arpeggi and nude are the best, while bodysnatchers is sounding great to me 15 step sounds a little sloppy at the beginning, then it really picks up

QUOTE(LoFiStew @ May 14, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) OK, when was the last White Sox triple play? That was so cool. Let's not waste it by losing the game. two years ago in a game we lost 17-0 to the halos crede started a 5-4-3

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 10, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) Yep. SoxTalk would have been making Haeger his HOF plaque, if this went well. Well now everyone's pulling for Haeger's 2nd retirement. I think if he was in boston he would get his HOF plaque anyways still I think we should give him some chances, but in relief or something

QUOTE(Jim Spencer @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 07:14 PM) My most memorable HR (games I was at) had to be Joe Crede's Walk-Off against Cleveland last September. I wish I was at that game that has to be my favorite regular season game I have ever watched

sorry I was out all day yesterday and couldn't check on this but my general feelings after reading through this are: 1. you guys have some points that I agree on such as hit homers when we need too, play small ball when we need to 2. I still think we will come across a point like august-september last year where the entire team is in a slump, and we can't just assume everything will go as well last year. the lineup to me is much much better than last year, but if we don't allow iguchi and pods to play their game, then I don't think we will be as successful because thome won't pop that three run homer every day
-
alright guys there is nothing wrong with blowing people out my worry is that jim thome and paul konerko won't stay on fire the entire year in that case I think we have to be able scratch across a run, and if our entire team tries to be a hero when the bats aren't hot (don't pretend it will never happen) going for homeruns won't work
-
alright you guys aren't seeing my point yes the averages are good, the wins are coming in and I'm glad to see that but its how were winning that I'm concerned with besides last night I havn't seen many games where we scratch out a game by a single-sac bunt-single or anything like that its all about going for the homeruns that I've seen I think thats good as long as it works, but I don't think that provides long-term promise
