  1. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 07:02 PM) Amazingly even how creepy Albert is, I don't dislike him as much as Berman. Marv,"YESSSSSS!" I concur. Ever since Berman called sox fans "Classless" for booing Jerry Manuel at the 2003 all-star game. He lost my respect. Hey Chris The only reason we booed Maniel is because sox fans are no longer allowed to run on the field and get the person that's bugging them. Perhaps Berman had indigestion after eating too much of Chicago's good food that weekend. That was around the time of Berman's 37th heart attack.
  2. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) I think Sutt wears a piece. His headset was messed up last year and it pushed forward his hair and there was plenty of scalp to be seen in the back Among broadcasters, we know Marv Albert is the all time biggest offender for worst hair piece.
  3. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) Cotts instead of Marte Up ten runs, this might actually be a good spot for Marte.
  4. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) They light some shows to make his hair look ticker. You'll notice difference from the booth to primetime to abc work. If that is true, then they do one hell of a lighting job. Berman's comb-over has to rank with the worst in the history of celebrity comb-overs.
  5. I normally don't watch ESPN for obvious reasons, but I noticed on the game that it looks like the grass has left the field. Not only that, but Chris Berman went bald quick. Within the last year, he seems to have lost a ton of hair. Was he wearing a toupee all those years? Is he sick? Or has the fact that he sweats Crisco caused his hair to fall out?
  6. He recorded his second mlb save today. Is a beer shower in order?
  7. Another day Chicago broke Cleveland's heart... paging Craig Ehlo
  8. Bang the drum slowly for Cleveland. Anybody seen Craig Ehlo recently?
  9. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) Someone needs to take that drummer out. It's really annoying. That drummer will be real quiet in about a half hour
  10. For once, I am happy to see Timo in a game. His last regular season at-bat in a White Sox uniform?
  11. I'd like to see Bobby Howry in the game for bit so we could slap him around too.
  12. If only we could straighten out CC's hat. That bugs the piss out of me.
  13. I am hoping we make up for that game I was at last week when Elarton shut us out. Enjoy your vacation Cleveland!
  14. QUOTE(lukeman89 @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 12:03 PM) i dont like marte at all...and i dont think it would make a big difference to go to the playoffs without another lefty arm in the bullpen. i mean, putting him in against a lefty for that "lefty on lefty" matchup doesnt fare him well, lefties are batting .267 or something against him, as opposed to brandon mccarthy, who although is a righty, has lefties batting only .182 against him. i say, if you need to get some lefties out in the playoffs, you put mccarthy in. I could not agree more, Marte should be watching the playoffs on TV. He has stunk the place up this years and his temper tantrum soiled him in my eyes.
  15. I like Dye in the 3 hole a lot, but for the first time on the last day of the season?
  16. QUOTE(TLAK @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Complete lineups:Chicago White Sox Scott Podsednik LF .293 Tadahito Iguchi 2B .278 Jermaine Dye RF .271 Paul Konerko 1B .283 Carl Everett DH .250 Aaron Rowand CF .271 A.J. Pierzynski C .256 Joe Crede 3B .252 Juan Uribe SS .254 Brandon McCarthy P (2-2 4.21) Cleveland Indians Grady Sizemore CF .289 Coco Crisp LF .300 Jhonny Peralta SS .293 Travis Hafner DH .303 Victor Martinez C .306 Ronnie Belliard 2B .286 Ben Broussard 1B .257 Aaron Boone 3B .242 Casey Blake RF .241 Scott Elarton P (11-8 4.51) Ozzie using the A-Team on Sunday??? Malfunction ... does not compute...must use B-team on Sunday for Sunday Special Line-up
  17. Black Jack and Pearl Jam Link I found it, McDowell is good friends with Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam. Check out the hair on Black Jack.
  18. Schilling is going today for the Red Sox. His Era is around 7 in his last several starts. If the sox lose today, I would expect the one game playoff Indians v. Red Cubs. Schilling is not going to beat the Yanks. I would embrace the one game playoff. Let the Indians and Red Cubs beat each other up before the playoffs. Just as long as we don't have to see Bart Colon waddling out to the mound in the first round against us.
  19. Freddy is a better road pitcher and will go Friday. MB is going on Wednesday. At least I hope.
  20. There is only one way to solve this problem. The sox have to eliminate the Yankees and Red Sox from the playoffs. Then keep them out in the future by helping the Royals or Devil Rays win the wild card and the East Then the sox get the good time slot!
  21. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) I do not believe he was asking the name of Black Jack's band, but rather who McDowell jammed with. Black Jack really couldn't have a band in the early 90s...this pitching thing pretty much got in the way. More or less, you are correct about the other question. I remember Black Jack's band was friendly with a major rock band of the 90's. I was thinking Pearl Jam since they were the most comercially successful, but I might be wrong. Memory gets fuzzy after 10+ years.
